Mrs. Glennie Davis of Newark, N.J., and formerly of Ozark, died Friday Nov. 7, 2003, in Rahway, N.J.
Funeral. services will be 1 p.m. Thursday Nov. 13, at Church of God by Faith, King Street, Ozark, with Elder J.C. Smith, pastor and the Rev. Winfred Bivins officiating. Burial will be at Greater Old Salem Missionary, Baptist Church Cemetery in Ozark.
Trawick Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Samuel (Sam) David Jimmerson, 67 of Ozark, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 6, 2003, at his residence after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Billy Gaither officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 1970 E. Andrews Ave., Ozark, Ala. 36360 or Bethel United Methodist Church, 6010 E. County Road 36, Ozark, Ala. 36360.
Sam Jimmerson was born July 2, 1936, in Columbia, Ala., to Mattie Lou and O.B. Jimmerson. in his younger years were spent in Pensacola, Fla. He moved to Brown's Crossroads at 13 years of age. After school, he entered the U.S. Army. Mr. Jimmerson served 17 years with one tour of Korea and two tours of Vietnam. He owned and operated South Union Amoco in Ozark for 10 years. He then was employed by M.O. Carroll in Ozark as mechanical supervisor for 18 years. Mr. Jimmerson was a member of Claybank Lodge #349, 32nd Degree of Scotish rites, and a member of Ozark DAV Chapter 94.
Mr. Jimmerson was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Lou and O.B. Jimmerson; and a brother, Don Jimmerson.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 47 years, Addie Jimmerson; two sons, Alan Jimmerson and his wife, TaJauna, of Dothan, and Jack Jimmerson and his wife, Vicky, of Wicksburg; daughters, Donna Royal and her husband, Jamie, of Skipperville, and Diane Jimmerson of Ozark; a brother, Jim Jimmerson and his wife, Sheree, of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Trisha Elliott and her husband, Doug, and Sylvia Anderson, all of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, Laura, Ben, and Will Jimmeron., Jack, Jim, and John Jimmerson, Courtney, Robert, and Samantha Royal, Brad Battles and his wife, Christina, Matthew and Mychal Peters; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Barbara Wilkins of Ozark; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Sondra Casey.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ward, Bobby Ward, JoJo Ward, Eric Anderson, Steve McDaniel, Bobby McDaniel, and alternate, Kevin Casey.

Mrs. Ila Lee Baker Edmonds, 97 of Ozark, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, 2003, at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 7, at Holman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Isom Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Universalist Cemetery in Ariton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edmonds was a native and life-long resident of Dale County where she was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Watson Baker and Ninnie Pope Baker; her husband, James Ralph Edmonds; one daughter, JoAnn Peters; one grandson, Larry Peters; two sisters, Lera Pipkins and Eunice Fralish; and two brothers, Talmadge Baker and Lunnie Baker.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Edmonds and her husband, Dean, of Ariton, and Nina Varney and her husband, Bob, of Enterprise; two sons, Bobby Edmonds and his wife, Fe, of Ariton, and Jerry Edmonds of Ozark; one sister, Virginia Hornsby of New Brockton; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Peters, Mitchell Peters, Lamar Peters, Robert Edmonds, James Edmonds, and Jason Pickett.

Mrs. Rosemary Gulledge, 64 of Ozark, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gulledge is preceded in death by her father, Lee Tahchawickah; and a daughter, Michelle Gulledge.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Ray Gulledge and Cristal Paulette Gulledge, both of Ozark; mother, Wakeah Hoahwah of Norman, Okla.; three sisters, Kim Taua of Oklahoma City Okla., Willene Ortiz of Ft. Cobb, Okla., and Shirley Walker of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five brothers; Conrad Galey of Norman, Okla., Byron Hoahwah of Las Vegas, Nev., Philip Alfred Jones Jr. of Taylor, Phil Benton Jones of Ozark and Harve Daniel Jones of Bakersville, Calif.; aunt, Audrey Jones of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gulledge, Benton Jones, Phillip Alfred Jones III, Anthony David Jones, Patrick Walker and James "Bozo" Logan.

Mr. Jeffie David Willis, 80 of Newton, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 2003 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 4, 2003, at Newton Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sweat, the Rev. Charles Kirby and Roger Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday evening, Nov. 3, 2003. The body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday.
Mr. Willis was a native and life-long resident of Dale County, living in Newton since 1957. He worked at Fort Rucker with the contractors for 32 years as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of Newton Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, a member of the Men's Sunday School Class, and sang in the Church Choir. He was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid guitar and harmonica player. He was crazy about his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Anna Spurlock Willis, Newton; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bibb Hughes, Echo; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Martha Willis, Sammy and Frances Willis, and Jeffy and Michelle Willis, all of Newton; four sisters, Lillie Mae Caraway, Ozark, Adell Walker, Dothan, Frances Richards, Dothan, and Onita Gunter, Ozark; four brothers, Jerome Willis, Panama City Florida, Leon "Bud" Willis, Ozark, Sam Willis, Panama City, Florida, and Lomax Willis, Ozark; eight grandchildren, Dave Willis, Michael Willis, Jason Hughes, Amber Herman, Haley Hall, LaNeshisa Channey, Damon Willis, and Angelia Willis; five great-grandchildren Gage Willis, John David Willis, Garrett Sanders, Galyne Hall, and Sara Beth Channey.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Newton Baptist Church, King Street, Newton, Ala., 36352.

Mrs. Kathryn M. Graydon Williamson, 73 of Ozark, Ala., died Sunday morning Nov. 2, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 4, 2003 from the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Chaplain Randal Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 Monday evening. Family will receive friends during these hours. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Wiregrass Hospice, 1970 E. Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Ala., 36360.
Mrs. Williamson was born Oct. 15, 1930 in Luverne, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lomax Williamson and a son Johnny Williamson.
She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Williamson of Spartanburg, S.C., Ronnie Williamson and his wife Rosmarie of Ozark, Ala., Ricky Williamson of Dothan, Ala., Randy Williamson of Wetumpka, Ala.; one brother, Buddy Graydon and wife Betty of Mobile, Ala.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive; seven grandchildren; and special friends and caregivers, Blunie McLeod, Pauline Parmer and Charlotte Williamson.

Mr. Robert H. "Bob" Jackson, 50 of Ozark, died Wednesday night, Oct. 29, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
Memorial services with Masonic rites will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Main Post Chapel, Ft. Rucker Ala., with Chaplain Patrick Rohen officiating.
Mr. Jackson was born July 2, 1953, in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Canyon High School, Canyon, Texas, in 1971. He received his bachelor's of science/business administration from Troy State University Dothan in 1994. Mr. Jackson joined the U.S. Army in 1971 and was in the infantry and went to aviation in 1973. Highest rank attained was SFC and he ended his Army career in 1988 at Ft. Rucker, Ala., and was a Civil Service employee until his death.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Claybank Masonic Lodge in Ozark, Ala., and was serving as secretary. He had been a mason since 1990. He was a 32nd degree KCCH, The Dothan York Rite Bodies, and secretary of The Dothan Scottish Rites Honor Club.
Survivors include parents, Jessie and John "J.W." Jackson of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Leonna Williams and her husband, Jim, of Amarillo, Texas; and Sherri Graham of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, James William "Jimmy" Jackson of Amarillo, Texas; one nephew, Matthew Williams; two nieces, Cynthea Rannals and Shannon Foster ; two great-nieces, three great-nephews; one aunt, two uncles, and hundreds of friends.

Mr. James Newman Richman, 68 of Ozark, passed away Wednesday Oct. 29, 2003.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday Oct. 30, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark with the Rev. Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Richman was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Chanute, Kan., the son of the late Lester H. Richman and Eleanor (Reed) Henley. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and had a distinguished 26 ear career in the Army until vis retirement. He began a second career and later retired from the Kansas City Board of Education and served as building manager for Kansas City Public Library.
Mr. Richman was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Robert Wheeler.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Frances Richman; daughters and sons-in-law Dawn Doss (Jerry), Shawn jones, Crystal Burke (James), Nicole Whiteford; sons and daughters-in-law, James Richman Jr. (Connie), Michael Richman (Dolores), Ronald Richman, Steven Richman; sister, Melody S. Henley; brother, Robin Henley; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many friends.

Mr. Larry Peters, 38 of Ozark, died Tuesday night, Oct. 28, 2003, at Dale Medical Center after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday Oct. 31, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hart and the Rev. Timothy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Mossy Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark. The body will be placed in the church Friday one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Peters was a native and life-long resident of Dale County. He graduated from Ariton High School in 1983, worked with Van Heusen for 15 years, and most recently worked with Carter Brothers Manufacturing Company.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Edmonds Peters in 2000.
Survivors include his father, Billy D. Peters of Ozark; maternal grandmother Illa Lee Edmonds; two sisters, Beverly MeDaniel and her husband, Stan, and Brenda Cochran and her husband, A.J., of Ozark; three brothers, Mitchell Peters and his wife, Denise, Lamar Peters, and Robert Peters and his wife, Paige, of Ozark; several aunts, uncles, and other relatives; a special friend, Lisa Culpepper; nieces and nephews, William Peters, Justin Peters, Jared Peters, Zandi Foss, Tiffany Page, Leslie Peters, Kennedy Peters, Austin Cochran, and Hayes McDaniel.

Julia Mary Bellsnyder, 88 of Ozark, formerly of Birmingham passed away Monday October 27, 2003.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark, Alabama, directing.
Miss Bellsnyder was born in Birmingham on May 29 1915. She was the daughter of the late John Smith Bellsnyder and Blanche Brock Bellsnyder, She spent most of her life in Birmingham and worked for many years with Standard Casket Company of Birmingham. She resided in Ozark after having moved here in 2002.
Surviving family include her brother, John Smith Bellsnyder Jr. of Birmingham; niece, Christine (George) Small of Ozark, and Brooke Bellsnyder of Ozark.

Jackie Bryant, 51 of Daleville, died Sunday October 26, 2003, at his home in Dale County.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday October 30, 2003, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Talmadge Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2003, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to: Wiregrass Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 311103, Enterprise, Ala. 36331-1103.
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his father, Clanton Jackson "Jack" Bryant arid a brother, Tommy Bryant. Surviving are three daughters, Andrea McDonald, Montgomery Ala.; Madessa Bryant and Nicole Bryant, Daleville, Ala.; his mother, Essie Mae Bryant, Daleville, Ala.; two sisters, Elizabeth McGraw, Montgomery, Ala.; Christine Knowles, Daleville, Ala.; two brothers, Clinton Bryant, Daleville, Ala.; Harold Bryant, Newton, Ala.; one granddaughter Kacie McDonald, Enterprise, Ala.

Mrs. Nina Gore, 28 of Ozark, died Saturday Oct. 25, 2003, at her home.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark.
Mrs. Gore was a graduate of Carroll High School, member of Ewell Baptist Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, WR. Thrasher Sr. and Carolyn Thrasher of Ozark; grandfather Ross Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Ryan R. Gore of Ozark; one daughter Daisha Gore of Ozark; one son, Jessie Gore of Ozark; mother and step-father, Jilda and Bill Thrasher of Ozark; father Jack Oliver Thrasher of Eufaula; grandmother, Bessie Moore of Ozark; one sister, Samantha Johnson of Skipperville; two step-brothers, John Thrasher of Eufaula, Chris Thrasher of Rochester N.Y.

Mr. Robert "Robbie" Powell, 47 of Mark Avenue, Ozark, Alabama died at his home Saturday, October 25, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday October 29, 2003, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.
Mr. Powell was born April 29, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia, the son of the late Robert Euel Powell and Linda Jeanette Butler. He was employed with Blackmon's Body Shop in Ozark, Alabama.
Survivors include: wife, Pattn Smith Powell, of Ozark, AL; one daughter Michelle Powell, of Columbus, GA; three sisters & brothers-in- law: Teresa & Tim Cook of Blue Springs, AL; Rhonda & Robin McDonald and Lynn & Jeff Peterson, all of Phenix City, AL; one brother Walter Powell of Columbus, Ga; two grandchildren and other relatives.

Mrs. Jodie Lynn Parker of Holiday Village, Enterprise, died Friday Oct. 24 2003 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 27. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday Oct. 27 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Isom Hill officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Randall Parker of Enterprise; one son, Bradley Steven Parker of Enterprise; mother and stepfather, Janet and David Rayner of Ozark; father and step-mother Kenneth and Lori Payne of Dothan; grandmothers, Mrs. Estelle Danner and Mrs. Mary Payne, both of Ozark; one brother Scotty Payne of Dothan.
