Mrs. Jewell Frances Moseley, 60 of Bermuda Street, Ozark, Ala., died Monday, May 24, 2004, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday May 27, 2004, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Isom Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight with family receiving friends during these hours. The body will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 246 Church Street, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Moseley was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Jettie Mae Smith Munroe; and one daughter, Debbie Porter.
Survivors include husband, Woody Moseley, of Ozark, Ala.; one daughter and son-in- law, Joyce and Matthew Davidson of Ozark, Ala.; one sister Nora Brock of Odenville, Ala.; two brothers, Wayne Munroe of Prattville, Ala. and and Austin Munroe of New Orleans; grandchildren, Haylee Cooper, Chip Cooper, Dusty Cooper, Brittany Cooper, Caitlin Davidson; and several step-grandchildren.
LaVaughn Currie Forrester, 67 and a resident of Ozark, Ala., died early Saturday evening, May 22, 2004, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 28, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Ministries on Hedstrom Drive with Brother Troy Walsingham officiating. "Being justified freely, by His grace." Romans 3:24
Mrs. Forrester is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Franklin Forrester.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff (Ruth) Forrester, Ozark, Ala. and Ken (Tray) Forrester, Dothan; four daughters and one son-in-law, Ellen (Joe) Lee, Lynn Currie and Zandra Baker all of Dothan, Randie Dee Currie, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Hicks. Other family nembers surviving Mrs. Forester include Jessie Forrester, Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry, Cowarts, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. James Beasley Cotonwood, Ala.
William Mancil Davenport, 80 and a resident of Pinckard, went to be with the Lord Friday night, May 21, 2004.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Newton First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Andy Wood and Reverend Frank Standifer officiating. Burial will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. Mancil was born October 29, 1923, in Newton, Alabama, to Una Elizabeth Murphy and Thomas Otis Davenport. He lived most of his adult life in Pinckard. He graduated from school in Newton, Alabama, and later served in the U. S. Army for two years. Mancil married Nell McNab July 26, 1947. Mancil retired from DynCorp, at Fort Rucker, after working with several different companies for 31 years. He was a member of Newton First Assembly of God Church.
His parents, an infant brother and a sister, Juanita Campbell, preceded Mr. Davenport in death.
Mancil is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years Nell McNab Davenport, Pinckard; his tw,o daughters and sons- in-law,, Rhonda and Paul Litttlefield, Prattville, Deborah and Louis Camp, Dothan; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Kathy Davenport, Dothan; his grandchildren, Brian and Candy Littlefield, Panama City, Florida, Scott and Stacy Littlefield, Trussville; Christopher Camp, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, Charla Camp, Dothan, Karmen and Lindsey Davenport, Dothan; his great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kade, Brody and Neely Littlefield. He is also survived by his sister, Gwendolyn Curry, Pinckard; four sisters-in-law, Iris McKnight, Lillian McKnight, Kathleen Standifer, all of Pinckard, Irene (Marvin) Long, Dothan; one brother-in-law, Fred McNab, Pinckard.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mitch McNab, Miach McNab, Maury McNab, Michael Curry, Ted Curry and David Rogers.
Mr. Donnie Ray Ellis, age 53 of 211 Porter Andrews Road, Ozark, Ala., passed away Friday, May 21, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Graveside services with Military Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at Mt. Olive Cemetery with the Rev. W.L. Sheffield officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23,2004, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.
Mr. Ellis was a retired MSGT serving in the Air Force, having traveled abroad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Ellis, Jr.; sister, Jo-Ann Jacobs; and father-in-law, Gordon Wentworth-Wood.

Mr. Jeremy L. Martin, 22 of Ozark, Ala., died Monday morning, May 17, 2004, in Dale Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Martin was born May 8, 1982, in Birmingham, Ala. He has been a life-long resident of Ozark where he graduated from Carroll High School in 2001, was an active and loved member of Ozark Baptist Church, and was involved in the church youth group. He enjoyed computer games, video games, going to movies, reading, music, and was in the process of writing a book.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Louis B. Martin Jr. and Sheila A. Martin, Midland City Ala.; his paternal grandparents, Louis B. Martin Sr. and Jane Martin, Ozark, Ala.; his sister, Kaylee Ann Martin, Midland City; his brothers, Blayne Wiig, Brookings, S.D., Adrien L. Martin, Midland . City; and his aunt and uncle, Diane and Carl Hall of Adel, Ga.
Mrs. Anna Reyes, 75 of Ozark, Ala., passed away Monday, May 17, 2004, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Charles McCabe officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Reyes was born in Karlsruhe, Germany April 22 1929. She came to the United States in 1949 and lived in New Jersey until June of 1952 when she married her husband. She traveled around the world for 25 years while her husband, Joaquin, served in the United States Army. They retired from Fort Rucker in 1969 and settled in Ozark. She and her husband formed Reyes Realty and for 25 years she was instrumental in its operation. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church where she was instrumental in starting the memorial fund and served as its chairman for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joaquin R. Reyes of Ozark, Ala.; daughter and son in law Susie Reyes LeMonine and Bruce of Colleyville, Texas; son, Ralph Reyes of Ozark Ala.; sister, Rosie Stringer of Fredricks, Md.; two brothers, Eddie Brendelberger of Stutgart, Germany and Carl Brendelberger of Germany; and three grandchildren, Megan Reyes Bruce Reyes Lemonine and Hunter Reyes Lemonine.
Mrs. Frances Parker Kingsley, 87 of Ozark, Ala., died Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 2004.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Rev. Joe Reams, Rev. Marty Hamilton, Rev. Billy D. Gaither and Rev. John (Bart) Kingsley officiating. Interment will follow in Claybank Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6 until 8 tonight. Mrs. Kingsley was born Dec. 15, 1916, in Dale County, Ala., to the late Roy R. and Anna Mae Carroll Parker. She received her elementary and high school education from Dale County High School, graduating with honors in May 1935. She completed Riley Business College in Montgomery in 1936, and received an appointment to the Soil Conservation Service by Congressman Henry B. Steagall for the head secretarial position for the building of Lake Tholocco. Frances was then transferred to the Soil Conservation Headquarters in Montgomery, Ala., where she worked until March 1940. She returned home to marry Oliver Dowling Kingsley on April 7 1940, in the First United Methodist Church. Frances and Oliver's wedding took place just prior to the Sunday morning service and was the first one in the new church sanctuary. Mrs. Kingsley worked as head bookkeeper and office manager for Carroll Hardware until she retired in 1979.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the John Wesley Sunday school class, the adult choir, Chairman of the Music Committee, Co-chairman for purchasing the first "pipe organ" installed, taught Sunday school for many years in the primary department, was a M.Y.F. counselor, did all of the bookkeeping for the building of the new educational building adjoining the church sanctuary, was a former member of the Women's Missionary Society, and served as chairman of the "Rena Cox" Circle. She was a member of the Ozark Book Club and enjoyed playing bridge.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Oliver Dowling Kingsley Sr., Ozark; one daughter, Carroll Kingsley Davie, Anniston, Ala.; one son and daughter-in-law, Oliver Dowling Kingsley Jr. and his wife, Sally Yeaman Kingsley, St. Charles, Ill.; six grandchildren, Amy K. Hayworth, Betsey K. johns, Abby Y. Kingsley Benjamin O. Kingsley Caroline Davie, and Robert F. Davie Jr.; four great grandchildren, Luke K. Hayworth, Samuel B. Hayworth, William O. Hayworth, and Jacob M. Johns; four sisters-in-law Mildred Deese Kingsley, Evelyn Mixon Parker, Mildred Stowers Parker, and Dorothy Carter Parker; nine nieces, Bitsey Kingsley, Kaye Kingsley, Berta Kingsley Blackwell, Melissa Parker Patil, Linda Parker Yglesias, Jeannie Parker Centeno, Sharon Parker Miller, Karen Parker Smith, and Randy Parker Matthews; and seven nephews, Phillip Kingsley, John (Bart) Kingsley, Frank Kingsley, Tom Kingsley Jeffery Parker, Eddy Parker, and Bob Parker.
The John Wesley Sunday school class and the staff of Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. John Arthur Hinderliter, 84 of Ozark, died early Monday morning, May 10, 2004, at his home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday May 12, 2004, at Holman Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Tom Leggett officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with full military honors, with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 3 p.m. Tuesday May 11, 2004, until service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Hinderliter was born September 27, 1919, in Johnetta, Pennsylvania, the son of James Blaine and Mary Alma Bigalow Hinderliter. In 1936, he entered the United States Army branch which was later known as the Army Air Corp, and then the United States Air Force. He served during World War II and the Korean Conflict, retiring in 1959. Following his retirement from the military service, he worked with civil service at Fort Rucker as a weapons and munitions expert, retiring after 10 years. He then worked for two years with the Dale County Sheriffs Department, and for 13 years with the Ozark Police Depart, ment. He was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Police, the Alabama Police Officer Association, the Air Force Sergeants Association, and was a Master Mason.
Mr. Hilderliter was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Charles Edward (Ed) Hilderliter Jr., four brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Clyde Spears Hinderliter, Ozark; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Michele Hinderliter, Pinedale, Wyoming, Dan Ricky and Emily Hinderliter, Dothan, and Charles E. Hinderliter Sr., Ozark; one sister-in-law Irene Hinderliter, Cabot, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, Sherri and Terry Davis, Worland, Wyoming, Kelly Goss, Portales, New Mexico, Melissa and Gary Edenburn, San Marcos, Texas, Steven Hinderliter, Dothan, Laila and Stacy Illoway, Pinedale, Wyoming, Kevin and Sandy Hinderliter, Pinedale, Wyoming, and Chris and Karen Giles, Madison, South Dakota; a special niece, Wanda and Paul E. Smith, Pensacola, Florida; two special nephews, Charles Warren and Jenny Smith, and Darren Russell Smith, Milton, Florida; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. William Richard "Bill" Coby, 82 of Ozark, Ala., died Saturday morning May 8 2004 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan following an extended illness.

Mr. Coby was born Sept. 12 1921 in Miami, Fla., the son of the late Jeremiah Spencer Coby and Catherine Dowe Coby. Mr. Coby was member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church, veteran of the U.S. Air force having served during World War II and the Korean War. While being stationed at Warner Robbins, Ga. he was instrumental in the building of the Golf Course at Warner Robbins. He was co-founder and designer of Willow Oaks Country Club and Golf Course. Lifetime Pro Member of Professional Golf Association of America and the Southeastern Seniors Golf Association, former golf pro for Willow Oaks Country Club, Ozark Country Club and Perry Georgia Country Club.
He is survived by wife of 62 years, Mrs. Flo Coby of Ozark Ala.; one daughter, Billie Reed Cornelius of Ozark, Ala.; two sisters, Lorraine Garret of Atlanta and Doris Griner of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mary Coby of Jacksonville, Fla.;, one brother, Jerry Spencer Coby Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren, Sunny Lee Evan and Nicole Paige Cornelius; one great-grandson, Coby Levi Evan; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gloria Faye Tharpe Thompson, 63 of 207 Henry Road, Sylvester Ga., died on Thursday May 6, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held today May 9, 2004 at 3 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Thompson was born Sept. 7, 1940 in Ozark, Ala. to the late Edward Olin Tharpe and Annie Lorene Cain Tharpe. Mrs. Thompson was retired from Coats and Clark as a secretary with 30 years of service. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Giddens.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Ralph Thompson; daughters, Terry Giddens and husband, Kenny of Sylvester Tammy McCrary and husband, David of Albany Ga.; grandchildren, Tabitha McCrary of Albany, Will Giddens, Katie Gidden5, Lisa Jones and husband, Chris, Donna Jo Giddens, all of Sylvester; four great-grandchildren; brothers, James Tharpe and wife, Elaine of Sylvester Stanley Tharpe of Milton, Fla., Lowell Tharpe and wife, Inez of Midland City Ala., Joe Tharpe and wife, Charlene of Midland City; and sisters, Gayle Knight and husband, Jr. of Leitchfield, Ky., Martha Rowlett of Leesburg, Becky West and husband, Terry of Albany Ga.
Mrs. Myrtice Margaret Smith Cleckler, age 74, died Wednesday morning, May 5 2004 in the Ozark Health and Rehab Center after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2004 from the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in the Leddon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Cleckler was born Oct. 29, 1929 in Dale County, Ala. to Millard and Martha Long Smith. She was retired from Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva from the dietary department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Cleckler and one sister, Monseal Smith.
Survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Arnold Henry and Bobbie Jean Smith of Dothan, James Smith of Dothan, and Cecil and Nancy Smith of Geneva, Ala.
Mrs. Mary Ruth Johnson, age 81 of Ozark, Alabama died Sunday morning May 2, 2004 in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday from the chapel of Stith Funeral Home, Florence, Ky. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, Ky. Mrs. Johnson was born May 30, 1922 in Covington, Ky., the daughter of the late William C. Stubbs and Alice Runnels Stubbs. She was retired from Van Huesen Manufacturing where she was employed in the sales dept.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law: Gary and Lew Johnson of Ozark; one brother, William C. Stubbs of Grand Rapids, Mich., 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Tullie G. Carr, 63 and a Dothan resident, passed away Sunday morning, May 2, 2004 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, following a brief illness.
At his request, Tullie will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later time in Monroe, N.H.
Tullie was born January 27 1941 in Ozark, where he lived the early years of his life. He was drafted into the United States Army at age 19 and served in Germany during his tour of duty He returned to Ozark after he got out of the Army and later moved to Dothan, where he lived the remainder of his life. Tullie started playing pool at an early age and was known throughout the Wiregrass area for being an excellent pool player. He was of the Methodist faith.
His father, Floyd R. "Pete Carr and his grandmother, Mattie Harding, precede Tullie in death.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine C. and Robert G. Watson, Ozark; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim T. and Gloria Carr, Monroe, N.H.; two nieces, Cathy O. "Sissy" and her husband, Terry Walker, Ozark, Kimberly and her husband Doug Klein; two nephews, Staff Sgt. Robert D. "Danny' and his wife, Yong Sun Watson, United States Air Force, Osan, Korea, Timothy Carr, Monroe N.H.; three great-nephews, Matthew, Jonathan and Tommy Watson, all of Osan, Korea.
