Mr. Ralph Cullen Harris, 48 of Ozark, Ala., died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Aman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to your favorite charity.
Mr. Harris graduated from Vestavia High School in Birmingham, Ala. He attend- ed college at Jefferson State Community College and Auburn University. He worked as a certified master mechanic at Lowery's Automotive in Ozark. Mr. Harris is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the (CCU) staff at Southeast Alabama Medical Center for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Survivors include his four children, Katie Harris-Denny and husband, Nick, Melanie Kay Harris, all of Jacksonville, Ala., Kelly Marie Harris and Robert Cullen Harris, both of Ozark, Ala.; his parents, Roy and Zelona Harris of Ozark, Ala.; one brother, Roy C. Harris Jr. and wife, Laura, of Birmingham, Ala.; four sisters, Elizabeth Harris Wigley of Ozark, Ala., Linda Haris Bullard of Biloxi, Miss., Sue Harris Fleming and husband, Louis of Kennesaw, Ga., and Faye Harris Bruce and husband, Mike, of Saltillo, Miss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Paul Richardson, age 75, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 24, 2004, from Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Underwood and the Rev. John D. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark from 6 to 8 tonight. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 1970 East Andrews Ave., Ozark, AL, 36360; or Alzheimer's Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL, 36302.
Mr. Richardson was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He retired from DynCorp (formerly Sikorsky) after 31 years of service. Mr. Richardson was a very active member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge #287 (Skipperville), serving in several leadership roles.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Blackmon and Edna Clark; and one brother, Joe Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Maurice Richardson of Ozark, Ala.; one daughter, Lynn Carrington and husband, Grady one step-daughter, Janet Deel and husband, Elmer; one son, Paul M. Richardson and wife, Debby; three step-sons, Roy Gilley and wife, Sandy; Michael Gilley and wife, Sherry, and Cecil Gilley; three sisters, Jimmie Lee Childree, Dean Miller, and Julia Hefner; one brother, Issac Richardson; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Ferguson Ivey, 45 of Daleville, Ala., died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in the chapel of Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home in Dothan with pastor Mike Shroades officiating. The service will conclude at the funeral home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Mrs. Ivey was born on July 26, 1959, in Ozark, Ala. She was a 1978 graduate of Carroll High School. Mrs. Ivey was a homemaker and also attended Potter House Church in Enterprise.
She was preceded in death by her father,. John H. Ferguson Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Ivey of Daleville, Ala.; daughter, Haley Marie Ivey of Daleville, Ala.; mother, Loree Wilson Ferguson, Ozark, Ala.; four sisters, Bonnie Gibbs and husband, AL of Abbeville, Ala., Janice Gilleland and husband, James, Houma, La., Brenda Ferguson Wagnon, Birmingham, Ala., Charlotte Davidson and husband, Steve of Florida; two brothers, John H. Ferguson Jr. and wife, Tina, Ozark, Ala. and Bobby Bryant Ferguson and wife Susie, Morgan City, La.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jester James Phinazee, 81 of Slocomb Ala., died Friday Nov. 19, 2004, at the home of his daughter after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, in Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until service time Sunday afternoon. At other times, the family will be at the home of Cheryl and George Hinson, 1963 Grady Garner Road, Slocomb.
Mr. Phinazee was born on March 19, 1923, to the late James Paul and Maggie Estell (Fletcher) Phinazee. He retired as an Aircraft Airframe and Power Plant Instructor from Alabama Aviation Technical College in Ozark in 1984.
His parents, Paul and Estell Phinazee; two sons, Durwood Phinazee and Gary Phinazee; as well as a grandson, Keith Hinson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Phinazee from Ozark, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and George Hinson of Slocomb; seven grandchildren, Holly and Grant Dodson of Slocomb; Robert and Virginia Phinazee of Macon, Ga.; Amy and Chris Altese of Diamondhead, Miss.; Deana and Joseph Broome of N.C.; Tim and Marcia Phinazee of Gulfport, Miss.; Glen Phinazee of Birmingham, Ala.; Denise and Randy Ingram of Panama City, Fla.; nine great grandchildren, Baron Dotson; Annie Dotson of Slocomb; Zack Phinazee; Eli Phinazee of Macon, Ga.; Katelyn Altese of Gulfport, Miss.; Cody Broome; Hunter Broome; Conner Broome of N.C.; and Scott Phinazee of Gulfport, Miss.

MSgt. (Retired) August J. "Dutch" Sterzenback, 84, of Ozark, Ala., died Wednesday Nov. 17, 2004.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 20, 2004, at Saint John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles
McCabe officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6 until 8 tonight. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Johns Catholic Church, Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1008, Ozark, AL 36361.
MSgt. Sterzenback was born July 31, 1920, in Natchez, Miss., to the late August J. Sr. and Frances Smith Sterzenback. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving for 26 years during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He had worked for 15 years at Fort Rucker where he was an instructor. MSgt. Sterzenback was a charter member of Saint Johns Catholic Church and the Ozark Optimist Club where he served as past president and as the Lt. Governor of the Southeast Council of Optimist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles F. Sterzenback; and his sister, Frances Sterzenback.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pauline W. Sterzenback, Ozark, Ala.; two sons, Mark and his wife, Darlene, Houston, Texas, and Donanld his wife, Debi, Panama City Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Dianne Davis and her husband, Jack, Dothan and Sue Tzareff and her husband, Paul, Oviedo, Fla.; five grandchildren, Chasen Sterzenback, Lisa and Michael Tzareff, Amanda and Jason Davis.

Mr. Thomas Watts, 71 of Ariton, Ala., died Sunday,, Nov. 14, 2004, at his daughter's residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today from Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ozark, Ala.
Mr. Watts was a Korean War veteran having served in the United States Air Force. By trade he was a plumber, working in various parts of the United States until his retirement in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann White.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Gene Dunn of Ariton, Ala.; Ann and Bob Minning of Ozark, Ala., Judy Moseley of Louisiana; three sons, Stanley Woodard and J.S. Woodard of Franklinton, La., Joe Woodard of Angie, La.; sisters, Dorothy Jane Gates of Texas and Mary Dale Gold of Texas; brothers, John Watts and Don Watts, both of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Daphne Wilson Hawkins, 72 of Midland City, Ala., died Saturday Nov. 13, 2004, at her home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. today, Nov. 16, 2004, at Mount Zion Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Max McKinney and the Rev. Dorman Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be sent to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 930850, Atlanta, GA 31193-0850; or your charity of choice.
Mrs. Hawkins was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Barbour County, Ala., and lived her early childhood there. She moved to Napier Field, Ala., where she lived until her marriage. to Elton Hawkins. They lived in Ozark, Ala., for a short time then moved to Napier Field for a brief time and had lived in Midland City, Ala., for the past 44 years. She graduated from Midland City High School and worked for a few years before retiring due to her health. She was a member of Mount Zion Assembly of God Church for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday school and was involved in various women's ministries.
Mrs. Hawkins was a woman who loved and served God and her family. We shall all miss her smile, her gentle touch, and her love, but we know that her passing into eternity has brought rejoicing in Heaven.
Mrs. Hawkins is predeceased by her parents, Alry and Georgia Wilson; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Elton Hawkins, Midland City, Ala.; a son, Durwood Hawkins, Midland City, Ala.; a daughter, DeLaine Spencer and her husband, Earl W. Spencer Jr., Phenix City, Ala.; an uncle; Huey Godwin, Napier Field, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Hildred Tucker, Dothan and Virginia Williams, Modesto, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Abney Billy Jim Carpenter, Christ Jones Johnny Lingo, J. B. Oliver and Billy Raley.

Maurice Charles Ryckeley, 45 of Ozark, passed away early Friday morning, Nov. 12, 2004 at Dale Medical Center following a brief illness.
Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, are in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Marilyn Newman Daniels, age 48, passed Nov 11, 2004, at the residence of her mother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Nov. 15, at the Greater Old Salem Baptist Church in Ozark, Ala. Burial will be held at Greater Old Salem Cemetery with the Rev. W.R. Virgil and Apostle D.J. Womack Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Nov. 14 at Lewis & Lewis Funeral Home in Ozark.
Survivors include four children, Forlando, LaShanda, Temekia and Mark, all of Ozark; two beautiful grandchildren, Keiana McKinney and Nyeisha Newman; a loving mother, Dovie Snell Newman; five faithful sisters, Elizabeth Hill (Johnny) of Columbus, Ga., Georgia Newman Jones of Ozark, Barbara Oden (James) of Sylacauga, Ala., Louise Brewer (Jerome) of Dothan, and Carol Elizabeth Alexander of Ozark; one brother, Arthur Lee Newman; several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, relarives and friends.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Mary.
Special thanks to the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Wiregrass Hospice of Ozark.

Mae Robinson Andrews, 82 of 11385 County Road 59, South, Midland City died early Thursday morning, Nov 11, 2004, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 13, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary chapel with the Rev. Jerome (Bo) Weed officiating. Burial will follow in the Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary in Headland. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, Inc., PO. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mrs. Andrews was born in Skipperville but was reared in the Midland City area, daughter of the late John Dee Robinson and Deller Childers Robinson. She lived in Midland City and Pinckard all her life. She was a member of the Midland City Baptist Church. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Robinson.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Paul Andrews, Midland City; a special foster daughter, Teresa Andrews, Boone, N.C.; two step-sons, Doug Andrews and his wife, Joann Andrews, Colquitt, Ga.; Jerry Andrews and his wife, Ann Andrews, Newton; special foster granddaughters, Nikki Luttrell and Kerry Craig; four step-grandchildren, Michelle Warner, Steve Andrews, Kim Beasley and Jason Andrews; three step-great-grandchildren; five foster great-grandchildren, Jalen Luttrell, Peyton Luttrell, Isaiah Luttrell, Taylor Craig and Riley Craig; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Terry Weed and his wife, Sharon Weed, Midland City; special friends, Dana Daughtry and her son, Casey Daughtry Midland City
Serving as active pallbearers will be Charles Weed, Steve Andrews, Jason Andrews, Chic Gary Pete Beasley and Sammy Maund.

Mrs. Melba Oliver, age 72, died Wednesday Morning, Nov. 10, 2004, in Oakview Manor, Ozark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, from the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Don Tew officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Ariton, Ala. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. tonight Family will receive friends during these hours.
Mrs. Oliver was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Dale County the daughter of the late Lewis Oliver and Maggie Danner Oliver. She was a member of Bethel Assembly Of God Church, Ariton, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Oliver; and two sisters, Jessie Thompson and Vernice Frazier.
She is survived by one son, Lewis Oliver of Ariton, Ala.; three sisters, Thelma Carmichael of Dothan; Mary Robinson of Ozark; and Naomi Register Hicks of Eufaula, Ala.

Mr. David Ferguson, 61 of Pinckard, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2004.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Kings Table Worship Center with the Rev. Michael Senn officiating. Interment will follow in the Midland City Cemetery The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening. The body will be placed in the worship center one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Ferguson was born May 16, 1943, in Florala, Ala. He had made his home in Pinckard for the past 30 years and was the owner of Southern Line Power for the past 12 years. Mr. Ferguson enjoyed the outdoors and loved his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his parents Donnis and Mary Lou Noel Ferguson; one sister, Susan Bartlett; and one grandchild, Derreck Strickland.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Ferguson, Midland City; two daughters, Regina Ward and her fiancée, Jamie Wade, Dothan; and Rebecca Strickland and her husband, David, Ozark; one son, Bobby Ferguson and his wife, Kim, Midland City; two step- daughters, Tracy Senn and Tina Looney, both of Pinckard; the mother of his children, Becky Donaldson, Midland City; one sister, Patricia Noel, Pinckard; three brothers, Mike Bullock, Mobile; Danny Colvette, Montgomery; and Steve Colvette, Baltimore; five grandchildren, PFC Darrell and Laurie Strickland, Michael and Amanda Bradshaw, and Austin Ferguson; five step-grandchildren, Brittany and Dylan Senn, Hannah, Skylar, and Agile Metcalf. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Edmund L. "Skip" Eveleth, 95 of Ozark, died Monday Nov. 8, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Eveleth was born March 6, 1909, to the late Elizabeth Cushing Lincoln Eveleth and Charles Edmund Eveleth in Schenectady N.Y. He spent over 60 years of his life in aviation; most of this time with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Sikorsky Aircraft as project engineer and sales manager. Mr. Eveleth lived in Connecticut and Florida prior to making his home in Ozark in 1979, where he was instrumental in founding the Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker. He was also involved with alternative fuel studies at Alabama Aviation and Technical College in Ozark and was the author of three books.
He is survived by his two sons, Lincoln Swan Eveleth, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Peter Hooke Eveleth, Bushnell, Fla.; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the U.S. Army Aviation Museum Foundation, Inc., PO. Box 620610, Fort Rucker, AL 36362-0610.
