Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Helen Morgan Kilpatrick, 91 of Thomasville, Ga., and a native of Ozark, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 15 2005, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, in the Claybank Cemetery, Ozark, Ala., with Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. In heu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 425 N. Broad St., Thomasville, GA 31792.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born and reared in Ozark, daughter of the late John H. Morgan and Lucy Dowling Morgan. She was retired as an accountant with West Indies Airlines in Miami. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Thomasville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kilpatrick.
Surviving relatives include a niece, Mona Morgan Schuster, Birmingham, Ala.; and two nephews, Floyd L. McKnight, Fitzgerald, Ga., and Dr. George Morgan Jr., Huntsville, Ala.

Mrs. Dorothea Maria "Dolly" Dykes, 76 of Skipperville, Ala., died Thursday morning, Jan. 13, 2005, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 2005 in Salem Baptist Church in Skipperville with the Revs. Harold Peters and John W. Helton Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 5 until 7 tonight. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Sunday.
Mrs. Dykes was born 5ept. 18, l928, in Linz, Austria, and grew up in Zell am See. She traveled with her late husband, Colbert Dykes, while he served in the United States Army for 22 years. They later retired and made their home in Skipperville, where she was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a homemaker. She has worked in a daycare, at Judy Bond Shirt Factory and at Dykes Grocery in Skipperville. She loved music, flowers, children and Christmas.
Mrs. Dykes was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Anna and Joseph Loe; and one brother, Erich Loe.
Mrs. Dykes is survived by five daughters, Alice Kice, Knoxville, Tenn., Judy Mull and husband, Jerry, Ozark, Ala., Melissa Dasinger and husband, Max, Skipperville, Ala., Debra Tripp and husband, Cliff, Skipperville, Ala., Teresa Cavender and husband, Marvin, Ozark, Ala.; one brother and his family, Walter Loe, Zell am See, Austria; her grandchildren and their families, Shari Dodson and husband, James, and sons, Brendan and Bryan; Joe Rice and wife, Tonya, and daughter, Kendra; Michelle Owen and husband, Bobby, and children, Danielle and Nikki; Sheila Stroud and husband, Chris, and children, Cade and Corey; Kevin, Keith and Michael Dasinger; Kim Goode and husband, Tim, and children, Timothy and Jordan; Kristi Nobles; Tim and Tom Tripp; Taimane and Gabriella Cavender.

Henry Samuel Stuart Jr. "Uncle Henry", 81 of Ozark, Ala., passed away and went to live with our Lord on Thursday Jan. 13, 2005, at Dale Medical Center following a short illness.
In lieu of funeral services here, the family will have a private viewing for one hour for family and close friends at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home today, Jan. 15, 2005, from 11 a.m. until noon. The family will receive friends at the Laurel Grove Cemetery Chapel, Totowa, N.J., for a short viewing and graveside services will follow with military flag honors. The chapel services will be Tuesday Jan. 18, 2005, from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
Mr. Stuart was a native of New Jersey, a World War II veteran, and worked for Tru Built Cabinet Company as a truck driver for 20 years. He moved to Ozark in 1985 and has resided here since that time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Samuel Stuart Sr. and Katherine McGreevey Stuart; three sisters, Florence Hatsko, Harriet Czerniak and Alice Stuart; and one brother, Robert Stuart.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Kuzne and Evelyn Vance, both of New Jersey; three nieces, Katherine Shevlin and Florence Babcock of Ozark, Ala., and Susan LaForge of Haskell, N.J.; one riephew, Charles H. Ryder of Portland, Maine; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Mr. Terry Williams, 47 of Ozark, Ala., died at his residence on Monday, Jan. 10, 2005.
Funeral services will be announced later by Trawick Funeral Home. Burial will be at Travelers Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Beckwith from Believers in Christ Tabernacle officiating.
Trawick Funeral Home, (334) 774-8374, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Neva Creel Heath, 89 of the Post Oak Community of Ozark died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, from the Post Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Parlors from 3 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 tonight.
Mrs. Heath was born March 6, 1916, in the Post Oak Community of Dale County where she resided all of her life. She worked in food services at Carroll High School and Mixon Elementary School until her retirement. Mrs. Heath was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Heath; her parents Margaret Marcella Paulk Creel and Marion Andrew Creel; one son, Gerald Heath; two sisters, Eura Creel Simpler and Mae Etta Creel Lisenby; and five brothers, Tommy Creel, Aretous Creel, Eletous Creel, M.A. Creel, and Raymond Creel.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia Parrish, Dothan; two sons, Charles Eugene "Blue" Heath, Ozark, and Stanley Heath and his wife, Linda, of Jackson, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Heath, Ozark; and a special nephew Durwood "Buddy" Paramore and his wife Elouise of Ozark; seven grandchildren, David, Rickey and Michael Parrish, Regina Heath Sanders, Todd Heath, Betsy Heath Johnson, and Heather Heath; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be sent the Post Oak Baptist Cemetery Fund, Highway 123 N., Ozark, AL 36360.

Mrs. Zelma Watkins Parsons, 87 of Ozark, Ala., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery Troy Ala. Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home from 6 to 8 tonight, Jan. 11, 2005.
Mrs. Parsons was born and raised around Springhill, Ala. She was a member of West- view Heights United Methodist Church in Ozark, Ala. She was a member of the Maude Martin Study Club. She worked at Madge's Beauty Shop prior to opening and operating Zelma's Beauty Shop.
Survivors include her husband, William G. "Bill" Parsons, of Ozark, Ala.; one son, William G. "Billy" Parsons Jr. and wife, Donna, of Ozark, Ala.; one sister, Cami Bates, of Ozark, Ala.; one niece, Janice and David Jeffcoat, of Fort Walton, Fla.; and several cousins and other relatives.

Mrs. Jean Deloney, 71 of Skipperville, passed away peacefully at her residence Saturday night, Jan. 8, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, from the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark with Elders George Daniels and Clayton Nowell officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence, 2005 County Road 60, Skipperville, Ala. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Deloney was born in Coffee County Sept. 19, 1933,, to the late Jack and Rosa Pearl (McIntosh) Watson. She was a member of Ozark Primitive Baptist Church for more than 40 years. Although she worked at Buckners department store and Dowlings for a while, her life was devoted to caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Deloney was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Joyce Deloney.
Surviving family include her loving husband of 48 years, Charles A. Deloney; son, Steve Deloney (Jill) of Skipperville; daughter, Sharon Dunn and fiance' Mike Evans of Ozark; grandson, Michael Deloney (Kristie) of Ariton; granddaughters, Shannon Deloney of Skipperville, Chelsey Dunn and Ashley Dunn, both of Ozark; brothers, Willard Watson. (Joyce) of Chancellor, Wayne Watson (Joyce D.) of Elba, Max Watson (Jane) of Chancellor, and Ted Watson of Chancellor; sisters, Zelda Whittaker (Ken) of Amory, Miss., Elaine Maddox (Frank) of Newton, Doris Hughes (George) of Coffee Springs, Lucy Pouncey (Gayle) of Clayhatchee, Joy Marsh (Ken) of Chancellor and Becky Bynum of Geneva.

Mrs. Willie Starling Goff, 85 of Ozark, Ala., died Wednesday morning, Jan. 5, 2005, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 70:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Revs. Joe Reams and Marty Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 5 until 7 tonight.
Mrs. Goff was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Midland City, Ala., to the late Docia Camille McCoy Starling and Joseph Alfred Starling. She is the former wife of Tom A. Goff of Ozark. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and a former Worthy Matron. Mrs. Goff lived in Ozark, Ala., and was a member of The First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Grace Kunz, Midland City, Ala.; three grandchildren, Ricky Vaughan, Tom Vaughan and Amelia Kunz; and four great-granddaughters.

Mr. Jerry G. Riley, a resident of Midland City, Ala., passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at his residence after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at Echo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marquis Wingard and Chaplain Don Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the Echo United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight, Jan. 4, 2005, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Echo United Methodist Church, c/o Iva Johnson 7942 E. County Road 36, Ozark, AL 36360; or Wiregrass Hospice, 1970 E. Andrews Ave., Ozark, AL 36360.
Mr. Riley was a member of Echo United Methodist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was also a retired farmer.
Mr. Riley was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Mariah Riley; and three brothers, Virgil Riley Roscoe Riley, and Vernon Riley.
Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Helen J. Riley of Midland City, Ala; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Tammy Riley of Midland City, Ala.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeri and Joseph Dellutro of New Port Richey, Fla.; three grandchildren, Caleb Riley, Jeannie Dellutro and Joey Dellutro; a sister, Marjorie Bartlett of Midland City Ala.; and a sister-in-law, Madelyn Riley of Newville, Ala.

Mr. James Thomas Quinn, 81 of Ozark, Ala., died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005; in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Ewell Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Ewell Cemetery. Visitation. will be held from 10 until ser- vice time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Quinn was born June 21, 1923, in Gloucester City N.J., the son of the late James and Anna Meyer Quinn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. Mr. Quinn lived in Gibbsboro, N.J., for 47 years. He was retired from Sears.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Quinn of Ozark, Ala.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Marie and Joel Peterson of Falmouth, Mass., Isabelle and Jeff Michaels of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Irene and Tom Getz of Ozark, Ala.; three sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Susan Quinn of Upper Marlboro Md., David and Marianne Quinn of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Paul Quinn and family of Ozark, Ala.; two sisters, Eleanor MacDaniels and husband; Edward, and Anna Mae Dun- fee; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
