September 2, 2000 in the BMC Dekalb Hospital in Fort Payne, AL

Mr. Jcsse W. "Jake" Minnix age 89 of Fort Payne AL died Sunday Septembar 3, 2000 at Cherokee Co. Nursing Home. Mr. Minnix was born February 1, 1911 in Dekalb Co. son of the late Walter G. and Oni Powell Minnix. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. He was a farmer and painter in the McKestes Community and Fort Payne area for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his brothers A. R. Minnix, Walter Minnix and sister, Mabel Gates.
Funeral services will be Tuesday .September 5, 2000 at 11am from the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr Harry Sherrer and Rev Melvyn Salter officiating.Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
