Guy Mixon
Guy Mixon, age 79 of the Pumpkin Center community near Parrish, AL passed away Monday July 11, 2005 at the residence.
Born in Beaverton, AL to the late William Howard and Nettie Gann Mixon and the husband of the late Grace Goolsby Mixon. He was a member of the Bayview Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He had retired from US Steel. After retirement he loved to go bass fishing with family and friends.
He is survived by three Daughters: Susie ( Ken ) Wilkerson of Hayden, AL Sherry Mixon of Pleasant Grove, AL and Vicky (Terry ) Tavel of Corner, AL. Two Sons: Mike (Annette ) Mixon of Pumpkin Center, AL and Ronny ( Judy ) Mixon of Oneonta, AL and one step Son Otis ( Margaret ) Crim of Adamsville, AL. Two Sisters: Maxine Hughes of Beaverton, AL and Wilma Merrill of Leeds, AL. One Brother Jim ( Doris ) Mixon of Smith Lake, AL. Eight Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters Sara Jo Black and Johnie Russell.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from the Mt. Hebron Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Bro. Hugh Martin officiating.

Sammy Knight age 72 of Guin, AL died Wednesday July 6, 2005 in the Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
Born in Guin, AL. He is the Son of the late Finas Andrew and Delia Wisham Knight. He had lived in Guin most of his life and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his Wife, Martha Carter Knight of Guin, AL, Two Brothers, Glaspy Knight of Guin, AL and Floyd Knight of Silvin Springs, AL Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Services held Saturday, July 9, 2005 11:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Northwest Alabama Memorial Gardens. Bro. William L. Atkins and Bro. Shannon Knight officiating.

Verla Ray Dozier
Verla Ray Dozier age 92 of Guin, AL died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, AL.
Born in Winfield, AL. She is the Daughter of the late C.L. and Eva Bostick Dozier. She had lived in Guin all of her life and was a member of the Guin First United Methodist Church. She retired from Alabama Power Company in 1978 after working 30 years.
She is survived by Two Nieces, Dorothy Lee and Eugenia Atkinson both of Guin, AL, several other Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

Annie Mae Gilmore Frye
Annie Mae Gilmore Frye age 86 of Green wood Springs, MS died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Born in Detroit, AL. She is the Daughter of the late John W. and Mary Ann Northington Gilmore and the Wife of the late Kelly Oneal Frye. She had lived in Hamilton most of her life and was of the Methodist Faith. She had worked for Toll Gate Garment Company in Hamilton.
She is survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was also preceded in death by Four Sisters and Two Brothers.
