Joy Vaughn

Joy Vaughn age 80 of Guin, AL died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at his residence.

Born in Guin, AL, he is the Son of the late Milligan and Arrie Etta Blake Vaughn. He had lived in Guin all of his life. He served in the Army Air force for over 23 years. He was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a car salesman and was a member of the Guin Church Of Christ.

He is survived by his Wife, Stella Louise Guin Vaughn of Guin, AL, Two Daughters, June Gail Vaughn of Guin, AL and Vicki Allison Vaughn Burleson of Winfield, AL, Three Grandchildren, Victoria, McClaine and Olivia, A Sister, Rene Marler of Birmingham, AL, and Two Brothers, Earnest Vaughn and Lee Roy Vaughn both of Guin, AL. Extended family members, Sally Markham Tucker and Joshua Markham.

He was also preceded in death by A Daughter, Wanda Joy Vaughn, Two Sisters, Lucille Gist and Jean Gosa Hodges, and Three Brothers, Alvis, Alvin and David T. Vaughn.

Services held Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with Burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Dr. Rex Manasco and Bro. Jerry Martin officiating.

Isabella Nichole Harbin

Infant, Isabella Nichole Harbin age six and one half weeks of Guin, AL passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 in the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Survived by her Parents; Adam Ray and Debbie Danielle Patterson Harbin of Guin, AL, One Sister: Nora’ Katie Chere Harbin of Guin, AL, Maternal Grandparents: Shawn and Amy Hardin of Guin, AL, Paternal Grandparents: Ray and Judy Harbin of Guin, AL, and Paternal Great Grand Mother: Betty Harbin of Double Springs, AL.

Graveside services held Thursday April 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Webb Cemetery with Bro. William L. Atkins and Bro. Jason Martin officiating.

Elizabeth Evans

Elizabeth Evans age 74 of Snellville, GA passed away Thursday April 20, 2006 at the New London Skilled Nursing Facility in Snellville, GA.

She was born in Lamar County Alabama to the late Macon D. and Mattie Muser Pennington Edwards. She was a Nurse and retired in 1966 from the Lakeview Nursing Facility in Birmingham, AL.

Survived by One Daughter: Diann Larson of Snellville, GA, One Sister: Charlene Kitchens of Birmingham, AL, Three Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services held Saturday April 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. John Paul Kitchens officiating.

Willie D. Pratt

Willie D. Pratt age 85 of Columbiana, AL formerly of Guin died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in the Shelby Baptist Hospital in Alabaster, AL.

Born in Winfield, AL. He is the Son of the late Hubert and Princie McKinley Pratt. He had lived in Guin most of his life and was a member of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his Wife, Reathie Randolph Pratt of Columbiana, AL, A Daughter, Doviel Jean (Orbie) Cantrell of Shelby, AL, 2 Grandsons, Michael Franks and Scott Franks, 6 Great Grandchildren, a Great Great Grandson, and a Sister, Mary Lee Ellis of Guin, AL.

Services held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Alvis Cochran officiating.
