Kay Wooldridge Wilcox

Kay Wooldridge Wilcox age 49 of Mentone, AL died Monday August 14, 2006 in the Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga TN.

Born in Columbus Mississippi to the late Wayne and Velma Moore Wooldridge. She attended the Full Gospel Worship Center in Crossville, AL. She was Cosmetologist and owed and operated her own Barber Shop.

Survived By Two Sons: Toby Lanier Tatum of Gulfport, MS and Robbie Lee Langford of Knoxville, TN, Three Sisters: Mickie Weathers of Ethelsville, AL, Annette Ross and Robin Elmore both of Columbus, MS, Two Brothers: James Earl Strickland and Jessie Wayne Wooldridge both of Columbus, MS, Two Grandchildren: Cole Langford and McKenna Langford and host of Nieces and Nephews and Friends.

Preceded in death by a Brother Bud Strickland.

Services held Saturday August 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Full Gospel Worship Center in Crossville, AL with burial in the Floral Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport, MS. Bro. James Godsey officiating.

Visitation will be Friday August 18, 2006 from the Full Gospel Worship Center Church in Crossville, AL from 6-8 P.M.

Graveside services will be Monday August 21, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Floral Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.

Justin Knight

Justin Knight age 19 of Guin, AL died Thursday, August 3, 2006 in Guin, AL as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Born in Winfield, AL. He is the Son of Jerry and Norma Palmer Knight. He had lived in Guin all of his life, was a member of the Hamilton Free Will Baptist Church and worked at Continental Conveyor.

He is survived by his Parents, Jerry and Norma Knight of Guin, AL, Two Sisters, Teresa (Phillip) Pugh and Lisa (Jamey) Segraves all of Hamilton, AL, Three Nephews, John Cody Compton, Tyler Pugh and Hunter Segraves, A Niece, Cora Beth Compton, Grandmother Willa Dean Palmer and Great Grandmother, Callie Franks both of Guin, AL. Several Aunts and Uncles.

Services held Sunday, August 6, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Shane Harris officiating.

Stan Flippo

Stan Flippo age 39 of Panama City Beach, FL formerly of Guin, AL died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at his residence.

Born in Guin, AL. He is the Son of Jerry and Carolyn Robertson Flippo. He had lived in Guin and Panama City most of his life. He had worked for REA in Guin and was a landscaper in Florida.

He is survived by his Parents, Jerry and Carolyn Flippo, A Sister, Candace Flippo, and A Brother, Keith Flippo all of Rosemary Beach, FL, Maternal Grandmother, Flois Robertson of Guin, AL and Paternal Grandmother, Maxine Jefferys of Guin, AL.

He was also preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather, James Earlie Robertson and Paternal Grandfather, Julian Flippo.

Services held Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Bro. Scott Stokes officiating.

Visitation Tuesday 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Robbie Weeks Dennis

Robbie Weeks Dennis age 92 of Guin, AL died Thursday, July 20, 2006 in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, AL.

Born in Beaverton, AL. She is the Daughter of the late Shelton H. and Bertie Miles Weeks and the Wife of the late Joe Auburn Dennis. She had lived in Beaverton and Guin most of her life. She was a member of the Guin First United Methodist Church and the Genealogical Society.

She is survived by a Daughter, Sara Dennis of Birmingham, AL, Two Sons, Robert B. (Faye) Dennis of Guin, AL and Mike (Sandy) Dennis of Maryville, TN, 4 Grandchildren, Barry (Terri) Dennis of Guin, AL, Craig (Shea) Dennis of Winfield, AL, Eric (Lisa) Dennis and Josh Dennis all of Maryville, TN, 6 Great Grandchildren, Justin and Colton Dennis of Guin, AL, Hayden and Sara Kate Dennis of Winfield, AL, Taylor and Joseph Dennis of Maryville, TN, Two Sisters, Anne (W.V.) West of Columbus, MS and Mary Beth Wells of Tuscaloosa, AL, A Brother, Grahl H. (Martha) Weeks of Pell City, AL and a host of much loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Joe Auburn Dennis and a Son, Ben Dennis.

Services held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Guin First United Methodist Church with burial in the Beaverton Cemetery. Bro. Tom Hammons officiating.

Visitation Friday evening 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Guin First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 515, Guin AL 35563.
