Born in Birmingham, AL. He is the Son of the late Bob and Virginia Cowart Rogers. He had lived in Guin most of his life, was a member of the Guin Masonic Lodge and the Guin Rescue Squad. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by A Daughter, Angi Sanders of Guin, AL, Two Sons, Alan Rogers of Leeds, AL and Jeff Rogers Odenville, AL, 5 Grandchildren and A Sister, Barbara Jean Rogers of Birmingham, AL.
Services held Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Danny Williams officiating.

Joyce Mayo age 69 of Guin, AL died Monday, July 17, 2006 in the Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
Born in Winfield, AL. She is the Daughter of the late James Albert and Annie Lee Strickland Mayfield and the Wife of the late Jack Mayo. She had lived in Guin all of her life and had worked at Health - Tex, was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church and a member of the Guin Eastern Star # 304.
She is survived by Two Daughters, Kathy (Steve) Frawley of Prattville, AL, and Vicky (Ronny) Finch of Guin, AL, A Son, Dennis (Dana) Mayo of Guin, AL, 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren, A Sister, Doris Pieratt of Ore City, TX and Two Brothers, Rubin Mayfield of Winfield, AL and Larry Wayne Mayfield of Ore City, TX.
Services held Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 10:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. C.W. Box officiating.

Lee Vardman Edwards
Lee Vardman Edwards age 78 of Sulligent, AL died Tuesday July 11, 2006 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.
He was born in Livingston, MS to the late Jessie Vardman and Ethel Strickland Edwards and the husband to the late Callie Wilson Edwards. He had retired from the City of Sulligent after 18 years of Service and was a member of the Revelation of Holiness Church.
Survived by One Daughter: Peggy Gean (Joe) Clark of Jacksonville FL, Two Step Daughters: Veronica (David) McCluskey of Sulligent, AL, Mary (Carlos) Wiggins of Oakman, AL, Three Step Sons: Jeff (Barbara) Smith and Ray (Wanda) Smith both of Vernon, AL, and Tommy (Marie) Smith of Pontotoc, MS. Nineteen Grandchildren and Twenty Great – Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Two Sons: William and Jerry Wayne Edwards, One Daughter: Kathy Gail Edwards.

Ruthie Dorobkowski age 75 of Guin, AL died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in the Fayette Medical Center in Fayette, AL.
Born in Gordo, AL. She is the Daughter of the late Clarence and Maggie Edwards Thomas and the Wife of the late Jerome GS Dorobkowski. She had lived in Guin since 1986 and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church. She was a retired Nurses Aid.
She is survived by Two Sisters, Elizabeth McKinley of Guin, AL and Alice Dunn of Bankston, AL and Two Brothers, Joseph Thomas of Gordo and Robert Ellis Thomas of McCulla, AL. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Two Brothers, Jimmy and Kenneth Thomas.
Services held Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Forrest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham. Bro. Scott Stokes officiating.
