Samuel Leon Kennedy age 81 of Sulligent, AL died Thursday December 28, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Lamar County to the late E.P. and Lula Spruiell Kennedy. He was a member of the Union Ridge Free Will Baptist Church and a veteran of WW ll serving in the Army. He retired from Vista Chemical Plant in Aberdeen, MS and was a resident of the Pine Springs Community all of his life.
Survived by his Wife: Alice Gilmore Kennedy of Sulligent, AL, One Daughter: Donna (Charles) Roane of Aberdeen, MS, Two Grandchildren: Shanda (Steve) Murff of Sulligent, AL, and Karen (Leslie) West of Starkville, MS, One Great Grandchild: Ty Murff.
Services held Saturday December 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pine Springs Cemetery. Bro. Mitch Nethery officiating.

Natha Dean Crowe
Natha Dean Crowe age 70 of Guin, AL died Saturday, December 23, 2006 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, AL.
Born in Lamar County, AL. She is the Daughter of the late Willie and Ira (Tince) Wright May. She had lived in the Guin area most of her life and was a member of the Free Water Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harold D. Crowe of Guin, AL, A Daughter, Renae (Stanley) Webb, of Guin, AL, Two Sons, Harold David (Kathey) Crowe, Jr. of Nashville, TN, and Michael Glenn (Doris) Crowe of Guin, AL, Two Sisters, Excene (Ralph) Cantrell of Hamilton, AL and Nadine (Willard) Lovelady of Sulligent, AL and A Brother, Hubert (Johnnie) May of Detroit, AL. 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Services held Monday, December 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Free Water Free Will Baptist Church with Burial in the Webb Cemetery. Bro. Benny McKinney, Bro. Randy Wright, and Bro. David Crowe officiating.

Clement Lee Markham
Clement Lee Markham age 93 of Okeechobee, FL died Thursday, December 7, 2006 in FL. He was born December 13, 1912 in Lamar County, AL and had lived in Beaverton and Guin. Mr. Markham married his beloved wife, Rubye in 1935 and moved to Belle Glade, FL in 1945 and was employby Wedgeworth Farms, Inc. until his retirement in 1978. He enjoyed woodworking and crafted several grandfather clocks, violins and guitars, which he loved to play. Mr. Markham was a charter member and Deacon of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Okeechobee, FL.
He is survived by a Daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Grindstaff of Okeechobee, FL, A Son, Scottie (Jackie) Markham of Mt. Dora, FL, 3 Grandsons, Mark Grindstaff, of Okeechobee, FL, Jeff (Carol) Grindstaff of Erwin, NC and Scott Grindstaffof Creedmoor, NC, 2 Granddaughters, Stephanie (Laz) Figueroa of Miami, FL and Dana Cash of Mt. Dora, FL, 3 Great Grandsons, Wade, Grayson and Ethan, A Sister, Mary Lou Green hill of Tuscumbia, AL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rubye Markham.
Graveside Services held Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Piney Grove Cemetery.

Dellar Foster Downey
Dellar Foster Downey age 78 of Sulligent died Sunday, December 3, 2006 in the Care Center Of Vernon.
Born in Sulligent, AL. She is the Daughter of the late John and Minnie Stockman and the Wife of the Late J. D. Downey. She had lived in Sulligent all of her life and was a member of the Peoples Tabernacle. She had worked for McCoy Manufacturing for 36 years before retiring.
She is survived by 5 Daughters, Mary Blaylock, Sue (Terry) Maybery, Shelia Taylor all of Sulligent, AL, Charlotte (Kevin) Upton of Hamilton, AL, and Diane (Butch) Oliver of Rockford, IL, 2 Sons, Robert Foster of Sulligent, AL and Perry Foster of Vernon, AL, 21 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and a special friend and caregiver, Faye Otts
She was also preceded in death by 2 Daughters, Betty Blair, and Patsy Rainey a host of other children she cared for.
Services held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Philip Blaylock and Bro. Billy Ray Adams officiating.
