Mrs. Heflin died Wednesday, September 10, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital.
She was born in Lawrence County and attended New Vision Independent Church.
Survivors include her husband, McCoy F. Heflin; two sons, Daniel L. "Bubba" Goodwin and Charles G. Heflin, both of Trinity; one daughter, Lisa Goodman Melson of Trinity; her mother, Katherine Childers of Moulton; two stepsons, Sammie R.L. Heflin of Decatur and Theran M. Heflin of Texas; one stepdaughter, Wendy A. Heflin of Decatur; two brothers, David Childers of Trinity and Roger Childers of Moulton; five sisters, Joni McCormick and Nora Curtis, both of Moulton, Sharlene Jones of Trinity, Lynn Childers and Marsha Smith, both of Danville; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Jones, Heath Childers, Jamie McCormick, Allen Childers, R.J. Dunn and Charles Hallman.
Ione Rebman McKnight

A graveside service was held for Ione Rebman McKnight, who died Tuesday, September 16, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital, on Saturday, September 20. The 10 a.m. service was held at Courtland City Cemetery with Rev. William Cooper officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. at Courtland Presbyterian Church.
Ms. McKnight was born in Grove Hill. She was a member of Courtland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one aunt, Lorena Rebman McGarry of Florence; and cousins.

Funeral for James Theo Hamilton was held Monday, September 22, 2 p.m., at the Church of God Family Worship Center in Kalamazoo, Mich. with the Rev. H.D. Spivey officiating.
Burial was in the Mount Ever-Rest Mausoleum with Rupert, Durham, Marshall & Gren Funeral Home, Portage, directing.
Mr. Hamilton died Thursday, September 18, 1997, at his residence.
He was born in Moulton to David and Pearl (Steele) Hamilton and was a member of the Church of God Family Worship Center. He was a paper tester for James River Company.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Townsend Hamilton; a son, Lewis D. Hamilton of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Sharolyn M. Hamilton of Portage; one brother, Billy Hamilton of Moulton; two sisters, Fannie Lee Wright of Birmingham and Carolyn Gentry of Moulton; and one grandson.

Funeral for Annie Lee Terry, who died Monday, September 22, 1007, at UAB in Birmingham, is today (Thursday), September 25, 2 p.m., at Elliott Funeral Home with Junior Hale officiating.
Burial will be in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
She was born in Lawrence County to Joseph Putman and Maggie Letson.
She is survived by one son, Hillard Alton Terry of Hillsboro; one daughter, Deborah Dianne Stephens of Moulton; three sisters, Ruby Smith and Lois Harville, both of Moulton and Doris Henson of Maryville, Calif.; two brothers, McKinley Letson of Birmingham and Joel D. Letson of Moulton; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are to be Kenny Nelson, Mike Maddux, Mike Terry, Barry Stricklin, Kevin Letson and Iven Terry.

Funeral for H. Lester Reynolds, who died Sunday, September 21, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital, was held Tuesday, September 23. The 2 p.m. service was held at Shelton Funeral Home with burial in the Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Lawrence County to Charlie M. and Lora A. (Howell) Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife, Trannie Lee Reynolds; two sons, Charles L. Reynolds of Melbourne, Fla. and James T. Reynolds of Decatur; one daughter, Trannie Jeane Reynolds of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Vest, Warren Vest, Willis Vest, Robby Reynolds, David Reynolds and Atley Howell.
Joseph Hubert Goodwin
70, retired foreman, Chalybeate
Funeral for Joseph Hubert Goodwin was held Wednesday, September 24, 2 p.m., at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Chalybeate Cemetery.
Mr. Goodwin died at his home on Monday, September 22, 1997.
He was born in Lawrence County and was a Marine. He retired from General Motors and was an elder at Grace Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Goodwin; two sons, Bobby Joe Goodwin of Athens and Donnie Joe Goodwin of Chalybeate; three daughters, Anita Vaughn Southard of Ozark, Shelia Mae Windham of Trinity and Faye Elizabeth Hamilton of Chalybeate; a sister, Znobie Morris of Chalybeate; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Woodrow Windham, Jerry Hamilton, Jamie Goodwin, Lucas Hamilton, Jason Goodwin and William Lieb.
Howard S. Sapp
88, retired carpenter, Hillsboro
Funeral for Howard S. Sapp was held Thursday, October 30, 2 p.m., at Lawrence Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Foreman officiating.
Burial was in the Center Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mr. Sapp died Tuesday, October 28, 1997, in a fire at his home.
He was born in Moulton. Mr. Sapp was a member of Five Points Christian Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Willodean Hembree of Somerville, Betty Hembree of Speake and Virginia Garrison of Huntsville; five sons, Cathel Westmoreland of Hillsboro, Casey, Carey, Conley and Clayton Westmoreland, all of Addison; one brother, Willis Sapp of Hartselle; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.
Arthur W. Wright

Arthur W. Wright died Thursday, October 30, 1997, at Columbia Shoals Northwest Medical Center.
The funeral was held Saturday, November 1, 2 p.m., at Akins Funeral Home with the Revs. James McCullar and Steve Baskins officiating.
Burial was in the Franklin Memory Gardens.
Mr. Wright was born in Lawrence County and was a former resident of Russellville.
He is survived by two sons, Gwyn Wright of Florence and Lynn Wright of Caddo; three daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Edge of Cullman, Regina Pennington of Russellville and Rita Laurimore of Mount Hope; two stepsons, Roy Allen and Tommy Allen, both of Russellville; two stepdaughters, Martha Franks and Dot Scott, both of Russellville; 13 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 24 step-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.
