Donald Bryant
MERIDIANVILLE - Donald Bryant, 48, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. Albert Long and the Rev. Jeff Havens officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Bryant was a native of Mobile, but spent most of his life in Madison County. He was also a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Donald Lee Bryant of Cornersville, Tenn.; his mother, Kathleen Bryant of Meridianville; one brother, Allan Bryant of Meridianville; and two nieces.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Olga A. Cagle
CROSSVILLE - Olga Azile Cagle, 84, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Freemans Chapel Methodist Church.
Burial will be in DeKalb Memory Gardens with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include six daughters, Dorothy Barnes of Dawson, Gladys Hawkins and Becky Wiseman, both of Boaz, Jo Graves of Collinsville, Agnes Baird of Douglas and Marie Williams of Crossville; and three sons, Isaac C. Cagle of Rockledge and William D. Cagle and Howard W. Cagle, both of Albertville.

Jewell R. Cobb
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Jewell Richard Cobb, 86, of 110 Sneed Ave. died Sunday at a Marshall County hospital. The funeral was Tuesday at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Paul Stone officiating.
Burial was in Green Valley Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Cobb of Owens Cross Roads; one son, J.W. Cobb of New Hope; five daughters, Jewel Fox of Idaho, Rilla Houk of North Carolina, Linda Patton of Georgia, Marilyn Thorpe of Tennessee and Kathey Yarberry of Indiana; one brother, Leonard Cobb of Center; one sister, Willie Foster of Tennessee; and 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Lawton Collier
Lawton Collier, 76, of Huntsville died todat at his home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Collier was a native of Red Bay, Ala., but had lived in Huntsville 24 years. He was also a World War II Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelta Maxwell
Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Collier of Huntsville; two brothers, Ultra Collier of Red Bay and Charles Collier of Smithville, Miss.; two grandchildren, Teresa Renee Rutledge of Madison and Michael Lawrence Maxwell of Lexington, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren.

Johnny Ewing Jr.
Johnny Ewing Jr., 79, of 806 Orchard St. in Huntsville died Wednesday, Sept. 2, at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at St. Bartley P.B. Church with the Rev. A.D. Hammonds officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Ewing was a member of Antioch P.B. Church. He was also a member of the American Legion for more than 50 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Bobbie Lard of Cleveland, Ohio, Johnnie Mae Charles and Gloria Conley, both of Huntsville, and Patricia Haley of Atlanta; six sons, Alex Ewing of Chicago, Eddie L. Ewing, Steve Ewing and Emory Nance, all of Huntsville, John Russell of Champagne, Ill., and Michael Kennamore of Long Beach, Calif.; and 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Martheny G. Gibson
Martheny G. Gibson, 81, of 1310 Shadow Ridge Drive in Huntsville died Monday. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Dillard Funeral Home chapel in Troy.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Springhill.
Survivors include three daughters, Joan Coon of Albany, Ga., Jane Turner of Eastaboga and Jackie Simpson of Huntsville; four sisters, Montine Gibson of Springhill, Jimmie Lois Johnson of Rutledge and Mary Mather and Dot Law, both of Troy; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Montgomery.

Jimmy H. Johnson
ALBERTVILLE - Jimmy Hugh Johnson, 57, of 201 Jackson St. died Saturday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Chenoweth and Jamie Jaffe, both of Florida; one uncle, James A. Head of Albertville; and four grandchildren.

Howard O. Love
Howard O. Love, 73, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hillwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Freeman and Dr. Robert Parker officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Love was a member and deacon at Hillwood Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army as a master sergeant, had served in World War II and the Korean War and and received the Purple Heart. He was also retired from Raytheon.
Survivors include his wife, Willie W. Love of Huntsville; three daughters, Teresa A. Lollar of Huntsville, Rita G. Riddell of Madison and Janet L. Burnett of Austin, Texas; one son, Kent Love of Huntsville; three sisters, Thelma Sullivan, Susie L. Lynam and Bernice Magee, all of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, John C. Love of Fairhope and Homer Love; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to Leukemia Society of America Inc., Alabama chapter, 1603 13th Ave., Birmingham 35205.

Claudia Mooney
Dr. Claudia Mooney, 61, of Huntsville died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Oakwood College Seventh-day Adventist Church with Elder Gilbert Foster officiating.
Burial will be in Brookings Cemetery in Raytown, Mo., with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Dr. Mooney was a native of Kansas City, Kan. She held a bachelors degree in nursing from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colo., a masters degree from the University of Cincinatti and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. She was a member of American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society of nurses. She taught nursing at Oakwood College, where she served as chair of the nursing department.
Survivors include two daughters, Jimmie E. Seawright of Harvest and DeBorah Scott of Grandview, Mo.; two sons, Michael D. Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio, and Keith Taylor of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Josephine Nelson, Ina Clara Brown and Sylvia Spicer, all of Kansas City; one brother, James Arnold of Kansas City; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary C. Mullins
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Mary C. Mullins, 86, died Monday at a Georgia nursing home. The graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with the Rev. K. Glenn Courtney officiating.
Valhalla Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Mullins was a native of McMinnville, Tenn. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, William E. "Pete" Mullins of Knoxville, Tenn., and Don Mullins of Meridianville; one daughter, Judy Galbraith of Columbus, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alta M. Norman
Alta Mae Norman, 92, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Home Mission Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Graves officiating.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Norman was a native of Madison County and a member of Home Mission Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Martha Edwards and Nancy Norman.
Survivors include five daughters, Katherine Colbert, Ruby Swaim and Mildred Calhoun, all of Huntsville, Edna Campbell of Maysville and Sadie Miller Jones of Gurley; two sons, Overton Lee Norman of Maysville and Bill Norman of Brownsboro; five sisters, Luella Wells of New Market, Mary Elizabeth Bowles of Elora, Tenn., Bernice Smith of Gurley, Florence Morris of Winchester, Tenn., and Lillian Edwards of Gurley; one brother, Jim Reeves of Huntsville; and 33 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 47 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roy Reed
SCOTTSBORO - Roy Reed, 55, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Airheart officiating.
Burial was to be in Goosepond Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Teola Reed of Scottsboro; two sisters, Lora Mae Davis and Ruby Orear, both of Scottsboro; and two brothers, Bud Reed of Opelika and Troy Reed of Scottsboro.

Billy W. Sanders
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Billy Wayne Sanders, 50, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Ala., with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Mr. Sanders was a native of Athens, was an automobile mechanic and attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Paulette Sanders of Athens; four daughters, Marla Sanders of Fort Walton Beach, Donna Urbassik of Parma, Ohio, Paula Sanders and Rhonda Moss, both of Athens; one son, Billy W. Sanders Jr,. of Fort Hood, Texas; three sisters, Kathy Bryant of Letohatchee, Ala., Gail Harmon of Atlanta and Faye Fuller of Phoenix City, Ala.; three brothers, Danny Sanders of Phoenix City, Ala., Phillip Sanders of Letohatchee and Ray Sanders of Lakeland, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Ruby S. Skinner
Ruby Simmons Skinner, 69, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at noon at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ward Gately officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Skinner was known as Ruby Walls when she was young. She was a native of Owens Cross Roads, but moved to Mansfield, Ohio, when she was married. She moved to Huntsville 12 years later. She was a cosmetologist.
Survivors include two daughters, Ella Ann Brown of New Albany, Ind., and Renee Miller of Madison; one son, Carl Simmons of Rohnert Park, Calif.; five brothers, E.C. Walls, Chester Walls, Ernest Walls, Sammy Walls and Eddie Walls Jr.; five sisters, Jimmie Hornbuckle, Mary Walls, Archie Mae Pogue, Jo Holland and Joyce Walls; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Helen P. Smith
Helen P. Smith, 86, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Mel Strain officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Smith was a retired teacher and librarion for Madison County schools and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Dewey Smith.
Survivors include two daughters, Marylen Smith of Houston, Texas, and Tamara Smith Bevel of Huntsville; two brothers, William Paschal of Owensboro, Ky., and James Paschal of Newton, Miss.; two sisters, Rosa Parker of Lucedale, Miss., and Sarah Wermuth of St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stephen Ministry Program at First Presbyterian Church or to Emmaus Community of Alabama, P.O. Box 248, Eastaboga, 36260.

Bernice M. Teague
ALBERTVILLE - Bernice Martin Teague, 87, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Albertville.
Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville in charge.
Mrs. Teague was a pianist for First Baptist Church in Albertville for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Teague.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice Nichols of Birmingham and Carole Bailey of Cleveland; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Eulis T. Thrash
GROVE OAK - Eulis Ted Thrash, 68, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Marhburn and the Rev. Ben Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Thrash of Grove Oak; one daughter, Janet Winton of Albertville; two sons, Neal Thrash and Marty Thrash, both of Grove Oak; one sister, Glennis Stephenson of Arizona; one brother, Bud Thrash of Rainsville; and six grandchildren.

Warren W. Todd
TULSA, Okla. - Warren W. Todd, 91, died Sunday at an Oklahoma hospital. The funeral will be Thursday in Tulsa.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea Todd of Tulsa; one son, David W. Todd of Huntsville; two daughters, Sharlene Todd and Diane Boss, both of Tulsa; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra endowment fund.
