Barbara M. Elkins
BOAZ - Barbara May Elkins, 62, of 631 Thrasher Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Thrasher Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar Elkins; two sons, Robert L. Elkins and Terry L. Elkins, both of Georgia; two sisters, Lula Bearden of Attalla and Joyce Peppers of Sardis; and one grandchild.
Daniel H. Eudy
FORT WORTH, Texas - Daniel Herbert "Herby Eudy, 30, of 6871 Chickering Road 249 died Wednesday in Fort Worth. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Arab City Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel C. Eudy and Cody J. Eudy, both of Texas; his mother, Jean Stafford of Arab; and two sisters, Sherry Willis and Tammy Goff, both of Union Grove.
Mickey Fugate
Mickey Fugate, 63, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The memorial service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus Long officiating.
Mrs. Fugate was active in the real estate business in Huntsville for 20 years. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and lived in Huntsville 22 years.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Fugate of Huntsville; one daughter, Rhonda Dwyer of Elgin, Ill.; two sons, Rodrick Jake Fugate of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robert L. Fugate of Huntsville; one brother, Harold Sizemore of Omaha, Neb.; and one granddaughter and two grandsons.
Visitation will be today from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
Carl Hinds
GUNTERSVILLE - Carl Hinds, 92, of Guntersville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Berry-Brookshire Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Hinds.
Survivors include one brother, Lee Hinds of Arab.
Robert Johnston
LACEYS SPRING - Robert Johnston, 72, died Thursday at his home. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bradley David Hall officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Johnston was a retired aerospace engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Albertine Johnston of Laceys Spring; one son, Paul A. Johnston of Mill Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Roberta J. Mills of Huntsville and Holly D. Johnston of Cleveland; and one brother, Wayne L. Johnston Jr. of Long Beach, Calif.
Lillie M. Lindsey
HARTSELLE - Lillie Mae Lindsey, 94, of 23 Holaway Rd. died Friday at a Cullman hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Laverle Buckelew and the Rev. Wayne Nails officiating.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church for 53 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Williams of Falkville; one brother, W.C. Reeves of Cullman; three sisters, Melba Leigever of Vinemont and Ruby Pruitt and Ivalene Holmes, both of Cullman; and three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Andrea M. Luke
ARAB - Andrea M. Luke, 20, of 317 4th St., Southeast Apartment 526 died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Sheila Young of Arab; one sister, Shauna R. Self of Guntersville; and grandparents, O.V. Shedd and Bea Shedd, both of Baileyton.
W.C. Puckett
HARTSELLE - W.C. "Cov" Puckett, 89, of 527 Jackson St. died Friday at a Hartselle hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Thompson and the Rev. Frank Sparkman officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Puckett was a farmer, owned and operated a store, and worked for the City of Hartselle for nine years.
Survivors include his wife, Annie "Bill" Lane Puckett of Hartselle; one son, Leeallen Puckett of Falkville; one daughter, Elsie Faye Hensley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Gladys W. Russell
ATHENS - Gladys Ware Russell, 91, of 1702 W. Pine St. died Thursday at an Athens nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jack Freeman and Bro. Tim Driggers officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Russell was a resident of Limestone County for 70 years and a member of the Madison Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brasher B. Russell; and two sons, Douglas O. Russell and James Paul Russell.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Miller of Athens; two sons, Billy Russell of Athens and Bobby Russell of Belmont, Miss.; one sister, Hazel Tolle of Salt Lake City, Utah; and 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Lehman Smartt
TONEY - Lehman Smartt, 89, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike McFarlan and the Rev. Wheeler Kidd officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mr. Smartt was a life-long resident of Madison County and was a member of Local 377 pipefitters union.
Survivors include his wife, Maudie Mae Smartt of Toney; one son, Calvin Smartt of Harvest; two daughters, Betty Ikard and Barbara Ikard, both of Toney; one sister, Novie Smartt of Huntsville; and six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
Suzanne B. Woodliff
Suzanne B. Woodliff, 79, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Woodliff was retired from Redstone Arsenal, was a member of the Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church and was a volunteer at Huntsville Hospital.
Survivors include one son, John L. Woodliff of Uniontown, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Amy Woodliff and Ben Woodliff.
Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church or to a favorite charity.

Sam Bounds
DECATUR - Sam Bounds, Jr., 74, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. A graveside service will be at Roselawn Cemetery on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce Lancaster officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Bounds was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served with the 5th Tank Battalion, 6th Armored Division. He received the Purple Heart on Nov. 26, 1944 while serving in Europe.
He was a member of the Golden Eagle Club for 50 years, a member of American Legion Post 15, a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church and was retired as a civil service employee.
Survivors include his wife, Julia D. Bounds of Decatur; a son, Tim Bounds of North Carolina; three daughters, Sarah Edman of Atlanta and Millie Barrett and Beverly Payne, both of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Childrens Home or a favorite charity.
Joseph K. Browder
SCOTTSBORO - Dr. Joseph Kenneth Browder, 76, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home chapel in Scottsboro.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Dr. Browder was a retired dentist and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Browder; one son, Bobby Browder of Nashville; one brother, Dr. E.A. Browder of Stevenson; and several nieces and nephews.
James H. Foote
James Herbert Foote, 62, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. A private service is planned with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Foote was a native of Iron Mountain, Mich., and a resident of Huntsville for the last 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Foote; two daughters, Kim Kuykendall of Huntsville and Wendy McCracken of Palm Bay, Fla.; two sons, Michael Lee Foote of Huntsville and Eric James Foote of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Mickey Fugate
Mickey Fugate, 63, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be today at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Marcus Long officiating.
Mrs. Fugate was active in the Huntsville real estate market for 20 years and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She lived in Huntsville the past 20 years.

William Helms
TONEY - William "Bud Helms, 78, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating
Burial is to be in Macedonia Cemetery in Lincoln County, Tenn.
Mr. Helms was born in Lincoln County but lived most of his life in Madison County. He was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie H. Helms; one daughter, Mary Motley, and one son, Charles Helms, both of Toney; three sisters, Frances Rigsby of Searcy, Ark., and Jewell Elliott and Elsie Tielkings, both of Huntsville; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy MacIlveen
Dorothy DePaul MacIlveen, 75, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Church of the Nativity Episcopal with the Rev. Roderic L. Murray III officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Torrey MacIlveen; two sons, James Torrey MacIlveen of Decatur and Dr. Robert Bruce MacIlveen of Portland, Oregon; five grandsons, Jeffrey Byron MacIlveen and Christopher Correy MacIlveen, both of Huntsville, Douglas Torrey MacIlveen of Tallahassee, Alan Scot MacIlveen of Knoxville and Nickalous MacIlveen of Portland; one granddaughter, Tasha MacIlveen of Portland; and one great-grandson, Brooks Alexander MacIlveen of Madison.

DC Manley
WARRENVILLE, S.C. - DC Manley, 78, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home chapel in Graniteville, S.C. with the Rev. Randy Wood and Herb Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in Warrenville Cemetery.
Mr. Manley was born in Guntersville and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in The Philippines. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Grant, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sutton Manley; two daughters, Ann Barnes and Betty Barrett, both of Warrenville; two sons, Ricky Manley of Langley, S.C., and Jimmy Manley of Warrenville; four sisters, Nancy Schrinisher of Owens Cross Roads, Erabelle Pritchett of New Hope, Ola Mae Russell of Huntsville and Essie Lee Jones of New Hope; and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lorene Patrick
BOAZ - Lorene Patrick, 69, of 104 Summerville Road, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Fairview No. 1 Cemetery in St. Clair County.
Survivors include four daughters, Annie Bigham of Tuscaloosa, Doris Rainey of Clanton, Brenda Peoples of Boaz and Nancy Patrick of Albertville; two sons, George Patrick of Boaz and Austin Patrick of Albertville; two sisters, Mary Hendrix of Boaz and Vivian Wise of Springville; one brother, James Matthis; and 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Benton Sharp
SCOTTSBORO - Benton Sharp, 74, died Saturday at a South Pittsburgh hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Scottsboro Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sharp of Scottsboro; two daughters, Beulah Watson of Scottsboro and Janice Garrett of Red Bay; five sons, Delbert Sharp of Geraldine, James Sharp of Boaz and Billy Sharp, Larry Sharp and Carl Sharp, all of Scottsboro; and 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 1 until 5 p.m.
Suzanne Woodliff
Suzanne Woodliff, 79, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Roderic L. Murray III officiating.
