Lewis P. Banzhoff
Lewis P. "Phil" Banzhoff, 75, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Kinley Eittreim officiating.
Burial will be in Green lawn Cemetery in Williamsport, Md.
Mr. Banzhoff was retired from United Space Boosters and had worked at Brown Engineering for several years.
Survivors include three sons, Ernest Banzhoff of Valrico, Fla., James Banzhoff of Gallatin, Tenn., and Mike Banzhoff of Scottsboro; his mother, Anna Banzhoff of Boca Raton, Fla.; one sister, Peggy Masterson of Boca Raton; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Bobby R. Chavers
MOBILE - Bobby Ray Chavers, 22, of 6351 DIP Island Parkway died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Funeral Chapel in Atmore with the Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Bay Springs Full Gospel Cemetery in Atmore. McCauley Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Tenn., will be in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Chavers was a native of Atmore.
Survivors include his father, Ray Chavers of Mobile; his mother, Sharon Mixon Chavers of Fayetteville; and one sister, Wendy Chavers of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home in Atmore.
Paul Cole
HARTSELLE - Paul ''Pete Cole, 63, of Segars Street died Saturday at a Hartselle hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. James O. Long officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Cole was a retired pipe fitter at Wolverine Tube and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Cole; three daughters, Angela Vest of McEwen, Tenn., and Paula White and Cynthia Henry, both of Hartselle; three brothers, John Cole of Falkville and Bud Cole and Lee Cole, both of Hartselle; five sisters, Kathleen Wood of Hartselle, Esther Sanders of Decatur and Paulene Johnson, Ruby Hightower and Gordie Henson, all of Falkville; and three grandchildren.
Oliver Douglas
GURLEY - Oliver "Slick" Douglas, 58, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Liberty P.B. Church with the Rev. Johnnie Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, DanElla Douglas of Gurley; two sons, Oliver Douglas Jr. and Rodney Douglas, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Dan Therisa Kennemer; six brothers, Lester Douglas, Leo Douglas and Lonnie Douglas, all of Huntsville, and John Douglas, Tyrone Douglas and Lewis Douglas, all of Gurley; one sister, Sue Kennemer of Gurley; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Blake Durham
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Blake Durham, 20, of South King Road died Saturday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Marton and Billy Langford officiating.
Mr. Durham was a native of Lincoln County, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a machine operator for Lee Manufacturing Co. in Mobile.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Carol Plunkett Durham of Flintville; one brother, Billy Wade Durham of Flintville; and his grandparents, the Rev. Ray and Mrs. Lois Plunkett of Flintville.
Harold T. Eakes
MERIDIANVILLE - Harold Theo Eakes, 58, died Sunday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Eakes was a native of Marshall County, but spent most of his life in Madison County, He worked at L&L Lumber Co. He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Eakes.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Dougherty of Madison; one son, Terry Lynn Eakes of Texas; his mother, Velma Eakes of Toney; three sisters, Lorine Jones of Madison, Pauline Chamblee of Toney and Betty Howell of Cullman; and three brothers, Mac Eakes of Albertville and James Eakes and Billy Eakes, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lynn W. Edwards Jr.
Lynn Warren Edwards Jr., 85, of Huntsville died Friday in Fayetteville, Tenn. The graveside service was today at 10 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating.
Mr. Edwards was a member of Latham United Methodist Church. He retired in 1972 from the U.S. Army Missile Command and served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Laxson Edwards, and one son, Lynn Warren Edwards III.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan E. Jackson and Louise E. Blackwell, both of Huntsville; one sister, Elizabeth E. Soufas of New Bern, N.C.; four grandchildren, Randall W. Jackson, Laura J. Anderson, Mark E. Jackson and Shane W. Edwards; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
Teddy M. Harwell
MINOR HILL, Tenn. - Teddy Mitchell Harwell, 48, died Saturday at a Pulaski hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Donald Clem officiating.
Mr. Harwell was a native of Limestone County, a cashier for Scott Market in Pulaski and a graduate of Tanner High School.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Harwell; his mother, Stella M. Harwell of Athens; one daughter, Nicole Harwell of Minor Hill; one son, Herman Harwell of Minor Hill; three brothers, Madeline Bailey of Minor Hill, Ann Barnett of Athens and Joan Stockton of Longview, Texas; four brothers, Lazelle Harwell of Hartselle, Bobby Harwell of Athens, Vaughn Harwell and Johnny Harwell, both of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
Raymond Higdon
SOMERVILLE - Raymond "Knock" Higdon, 71, of Nelson Hollow Road died Saturday at his home. The funeral was Sunday at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Snyder officiating.
Mr. Higdon was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Higdon of Trinity and Howard Higdon of Price ville, and one sister, Fleta Atkins of Somerville.
Pauline A. Hudson
ATHENS - Pauline Augusta Hudson, 88, of Glaze Road died Sunday at a Limestone County hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with James Bridges and Ray Green officiating.
Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
Miss Hudson was a native of Limestone County and a member of Round Island Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Murray Hudson of Athens, and several nieces and nephews.
J.B. King
ATHENS - J.B. King, 71, of 19750 Wells Road died Sunday at his home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Jewell M. Lackey
SCOTTSBORO - Jewell Maynor Lackey, 68, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. J.A. Linville officiating.
Burial was to be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Lackey of Scottsboro; one son, Gary Wayne Lackey of Scottsboro; and one brother, Grady Maynor of Scottsboro.
Jessie Lawsine
Jessie Bee Landrum Lawsine, 87, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. No funeral is planned.
Entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Lawsine was retired from civil service at Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include two brothers, George Landrum of Cordova and Clarence Landrum of Huntsville.

Cecil McDonald
ATHENS - Cecil ''Mack McDonald, 67, of 20059 Friendship Way died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was noon today at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Ollie Adams officiating.
A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at New Bethel Cemetery in Gadsden.
Mr. McDonald attended Holt Road Baptist Church, was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for Burgreen Construction Co. of Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances McDonald; one son, Cecil Brent McDonald of Rosemond, Calif.; his mother, Lois Pearlene McDonald of Arab; one stepson, Jerry Markham of Birmingham; three sisters, Opal Foster of Gadsden, Louise Walker of Arab and Frances Heptinstall of Huntsville; two brothers, Lynn McDonald of Pensacola and Carl Ruffen McDonald of Birmingham; and two grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Mary A. Pence
NEW HOPE - Mary Ann Pence, 64, died Saturday at her home. The graveside service was Sunday at Kennamer Cemetery in New Hope with Deacon Leroy Heokenschnider officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home East was in charge of burial.
Mrs. Pence was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and had lived her life in New Hope.
Survivors include one son, Gary Olan Pence of Huntsville; three daughters, Debra Irene Dudley of New Hope and Regina Pence Chisholm and Tammy Nicole Pence, both of Athens; two brothers, Carlton Childers of Nashville and Glen Childers of New Hope; two sisters, Dora Faye McGehee and Betty Childers, both of New Hope; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Laura G. Roberts
ROSALIE - Mrs. Laura Gay Roberts, 56, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating.
Burial was to be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Roberts; one son, Wayne Roberts of Rosalie; her mother, Pauline Sewell of Rosalie; one brother, Robin Sewell of Rosalie; and one grandchild.
M.J. Sykes
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - M.J. Sykes, 82, of Bagley Drive died Saturday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Hughes officiating.
Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Sykes was a retired businessman, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Joe Sykes of Nashville; and one sister, Dorothy Clauser of Texas.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Teresa R. Wilks
HENAGAR - Teresa R. Wilks, 49, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 4:30 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Kevin Wilks officiating.
Survivors include her mother, Edna B. Rush of Henagar and several friends.
