Roger L. Bastin
Roger L. Bastin, 68, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with Tommy Rosenblum officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bastin was an elder and a member of Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ. He was retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Tim Bastin of Gallatin, Tenn., Danny Bastin of Toney and Randy Bastin and Mark Bastin, both of Huntsville; three sisters, Ruth Slentz of Macon, Ga., Dorothy Pinyan of Canton, Ga., and Jo Smith of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Clinton Bastin of Washington D.C., Alfred Bastin of Decatur, Ga., and Kenneth Bastin of Chicopee, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE Inc., 2733 Mastin Lake Road, Huntsville, 35810.

Dorothy P. Blackburn
Dorothy Paseur Blackburn, 73, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Larry Dill officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Blackburn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a native of Marshall County and a Huntsville resident since 1950.
Survivors include her husband, James Blackburn of Huntsville; two daughters, Lisa Blackburn Boddie and Jamie Blackburn Jackson, both of Huntsville; one sister, Lila Paseur Hatcher of New Hope; two brothers, Leonard Paseur of Memphis, Tenn., and George W. Paseur of Owens Cross Roads; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, North Alabama Chapter, Century Office Center, 3322 South Parkway Suite 16, Huntsville, 35801.

Samantha J. Bowen
SYLVANIA - Samantha Joan Bowen, infant daughter of Timothy Wade and Teresa Lynn Bowen, died Saturday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at New Canaan Cemetery with the Rev. Roman Lilly officiating.
W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel will be in charge of burial.
Other survivors include one sister, Casey Leann Bowen of Sylvania; one brother, Travis Allen Bowen of Sylvania; her grandparents, Jerry and Phyllis Shipman of Fort Payne and Anthony and Hemen Buse of Sylvania; and her great-grandparents, Era Wooten and Van and Jasquelan Edmonson, all of Sylvania, and Buford Shipman of North Carolina.

Dennis O. Bragg
TONEY - Dennis Oliver Bragg, 88, of Grimwood Road died Saturday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Hazel Green United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jim Stringfellow and Jeff Havens officiating.
Burial was to be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in Charge.
Mr. Bragg was a native of Madison County and a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church. He was active in several farm organizations and a was retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Steger Bragg of Toney; one daughter, Linda Kay Nord of Toney; one son, Dennis Allen Bragg of Toney; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hazel Green United Methodist Church building fund.

Eunios Brown
HENAGAR - Eunios Brown, 83, died Saturday at his home. The funeral was to be today 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Revs. Billy Lackey and Freddy Waldrop officiating.
Burial was to be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Iona Brown; two daughters, Carol Dean Cothran of Centre and Phillis Teen Cole of Browntown; one son, Mack Eunios Brown of Browntown; one sister, Christine Laird of Browntown; two brothers, Elvin Brown of Pisgah and Eulios Brown of Scottsboro; and eight grandchildren.

Robert Higgins
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Robert Higgins, 89, died Saturday at a Lincoln County Hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Old Orchard Cemetery with Bob Dunivan officiating.
McCauley Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy Luna of Tullahoma; one son, Charles Higgins of Pulaski; two sisters, Mary Smith and Geneva Marshall, both of Coldwater; one brother, Miley Higgins of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Artie Kirchharr
ARAB - Artie Kirchharr, 74, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Gene Cooley of Arab; six sisters, Betty Smith and Fay Holloway, both of Arab, Martha Stooksberry and Shirley Faulkner, both of Texas, Janice Riner of Virginia and Earline Ledford of Steele; two brothers, Buddy Hill of Attalla and Coy Hill of Arab; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mildred M. McBride
SCOTTSBORO - Mildred McKee McBride, 70, died Sunday at a South Pittsburg, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Venable and Bill Pace officiating.
Burial was to be in Freeman Cemetery.
Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. ''Monk McBride.
Survivors include one son, Keith McBride of Scottsboro; two sisters, Agnes Bell of Scottsboro and Betty Weeks of Jasper, Tenn.; one brother, Charles McKee of Scottsboro; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Freeman Cemetery Fund at Jacobs Bank.

Winston Moody
Winston Moody, 55, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at New Pilgrim Baptist Church in River Falls. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Chapel of Andalusia in charge.
Mr. Moody had been a teacher at Alabama A&M since 1974 and was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and R.E. Nelms Elks Lodge No. 977.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Evans of River Falls, and one brother, Ray Moody of Tallahassee.
His body will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church one hour before the funeral.

Gene D. Oakes
Gene David Oakes, 63, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Mr. Oakes was a native of Madison County and was retired from electronics sales. He was a member of of Fanning Heights Church of Christ and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Ziegler of Chino Hill, Calif., and Caroline Oakes of California; two sons, David Oakes of Charlotte, N.C., and John Oakes of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Elsie Mason of Huntsville and Norene Pope of Ardmore, Ala.; five grandchildren; and a special friend, Linda Rutledge.

Joe W. Parker Jr.
Joe William Parker Jr., 43, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Paul L. Vicalvi officiating.
Burial will be in Bevils Chapel Cemetery in Hazel Green .
Mr. Parker was a Butler High School graduate and a member of the West Huntsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Rachel Parker of Huntsville; two brothers, Christopher Shawn Parker and David Michael Parker, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Lori Ann Sledge of Huntsville and Carolyn Elaine Windsor of Gurley; and several nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

James E. Roden
FORT PAYNE - James Earl Roden, 83, died Saturday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Larry Haynes officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Fort Payne.
Mr. Roden was a member of the Kings Chapel Methodist Church and the Henagar Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Smith Roden; one daughter, Beth Roberson of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, Orville Roden of Fort Payne; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Laudrey Satterfield
NEW MARKET - Laudrey Satterfield, 63, of Walnut Grove Road died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with William Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Mr. Satterfield was a native of Madison County, a mechanic technician at Wylie Laboratories and a member of Concord C.P. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hillis Satterfield of New Market; two sons, Steve Satterfield and Jeff Satterfield, both of Hazel Green ; his father, Clifford Satterfield of Hazel Green ; his stepmother, Alvarene Satterfield of Hazel Green ; four stepsons, Benny Hillis and Michael Hillis, both of Huntsville, and Gary Hillis and Buford Hillis, both of Morgan City; one sister, Joyce Crim of Hazel Green ; three brothers, Charles Satterfield of Huntsville and Ronnie Satterfield and Lonnie Satterfield, both of Hazel Green ; and six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Earl Sims
STEVENSON - Earl Sims, 68, died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Revs. David Aldridge and Larry Glass officiating.
Burial was to be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sims; one daughter, Patricia Karen Sims LHeureux of Stevenson; two sons, David Wayne Sims of Stevenson and Steven Earl Sims of Atlanta; one sister, Nettie Sims of Glisson, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

Nannie M. Stephens
Nannie Mae "Woody" Stephens, 83, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Edward L. Hovis officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Stephens was a member of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a technical sergeant in the Womens Army Corps, where she served for six years during and after World War II.
Survivors include one son, Christopher H. Stephens of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven sisters, Margie Page of Toney, Martha Kennamer of Scottsboro, Jane Blevins and Mableen Campbell, both of Huntsville, Peggy Bowling of Morgan City, Jo Miller of Columbia, Tenn., and Betty Hovis of Ontario, Canada; one brother, Edward Henderson Woody of Cedartown, Ga.; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Grace L. Steuber
Grace Lucille Steuber, 72, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The graveside funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Roman Meuller officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be directing.
Mrs. Steuber was a New York native and had lived in Huntsville since 1963. She was a member of St. Josephs church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond S. Steuber; two daughters, Barbara Brodeur of Huntsville and Betty Smith of Highridge, Mo.; two sons, Raymond Louis Steuber of Huntsville and Johnnie Steuber of Richmond; one brother, Cecil Williams of New York; three sisters, Kathryn Cates of Ohio, Doris Otten of Missouri and Diana Zinbardo of New York; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church.
