Frank Junior Adams
ATHENS - Frank Junior Adams, 67, of Mary Davis Hollow Road died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Doug Carwile officiating.
Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a native of Limestone County. He retired from ConAgra in Athens, where he was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Adams; one daughter, Doris Moss of Jasper; three sons, Larry Adams of Decatur, Ricky Adams of Huntsville and Shawn Adams of Athens; one sister, Elzie Evans of Granite City, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Almie Anyan
PROSPECT, Tenn. - Almie Anyan, 78, of Edmundson Road died Thursday in Ardmore. The graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. at Gatlin Cemetery.
Survivors include four brothers, Thomas Anyan, Lawes Anyan, Leamon Anyan and Levi Anyan; and several nieces and nephews.
Leon W. Bonner Sr.
Dr. Leon William Bonner Sr., 85, of 132 Chase Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Homer McCall officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Thornton Bonner; two sons, Leon Bonner Jr. of San Francisco and Dr. Lloyd Arden Bonner of Richmond; and two granddaughters, Tekia Janique Bonner and Charmian Nitique Bonner.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home.

Lillian J. Cason
Lillian Jackson Cason died Friday at her home in Huntsville. The graveside service will be in Jackson, Tenn., with George Smith Funeral Home North directing.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will direct local arrangements.
Mrs. Cason lived in Jackson for 86 years before moving to Huntsville. She was retired as vice president and trust officer of First National Bank in Jackson. She was a Watch Care member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and attended a Sunday school class at the church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, George R. Cason Jr. and Charlene Cason; five granddaughters, Candace Burnett, Cynthia Gray, Cathryn Hatchett, Carolyn Johnson and Michele Saffer; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Visitation in Huntsville will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Laughlin.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Whitesburg Baptist Church building fund.
James T. Clark Jr.
ATHENS - James T. Clark Jr., 85, of 1304 Aston St., died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Coleman and Steven Screws officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was retired from Redstone Arsenal and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a teacher and football coach in Campbellville, Tenn., before serving in the Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Troy State University and Auburn University.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Daly Clark; one daughter, Mary Barksdale of Athens; one son, Michael Thomas Clark of Athens; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
Sula Mae Daniel
Sula Mae Daniel, 77, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The graveside service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jay Robinson officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will direct arrangements.
Mrs. Daniel was a native of Hazel Green and had spent most her life in Huntsville. She owned and operated the Park Inn in Huntsville from 1949 until she died. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Fleming Daniel.
Survivors include one son, Jack Daniel of Huntsville; and five nieces, two nephews, five great-nieces and eight great-nephews.

Vera Mae Dykes
GRACEVILLE, Fla. - Vera Mae Dykes, 90, formerly of Slocomb, died Friday in Graceville. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Noma Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Lomas Lunsford and the Rev. Ed Ball officiating.
Burial will be at Whitaker United Methodist Church Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing.
Mrs. Dykes was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dykes.
Survivors include three sons, Cleveland Dykes of Decatur, Frank Dykes of Slocomb and Charles Dykes of Bonifay, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sara H. Hartley
Sara H. Hartley, 65, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The graveside service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Monroe County, Miss., with the Rev. Phillip Hathcock officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be directing.
Mrs. Hartley was retired from Wyle Laboratory and was a Huntsville Hospital volunteer.
Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Hartley of Athens; one son, Mark Elliott Hartley of Huntsville; one brother, Charles Turner; her mother, Opal Turner, both of Amory, Miss.; and one grandson, Casey Hartley.
Visitation will be today at Laughlin from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Lelia K. Huie
GADSDEN - Lelia Kirby Huie died Wednesday. The funeral was Friday in Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Don Pendergrass and the Rev. Wayne Milam officiating.
Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Huie was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. "Jim" Huie.
Survivors include two daughters, Mable Hoge and Gladys Tolleson, both of Gadsden; three sons, Jake Huie and Bill Huie, both of Gadsden, and Jim Huie of Huntsville; 12 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the East Gadsden Baptist Church building fund.
Richard L. Hurt Sr.
The Rev. Richard L. Hurt Sr., 64, of Huntsville died Tuesday. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Bradford Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Rev. Hurt was a native of Huntsville and a 1952 Councill Training School graduate. He earned a bachelors degree from Athens State College and a degree in theology from Huntsville Baptist Institute. He served active duty in the Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1972. He then opened his own business, Hurts Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Co. and became a teacher at J.F. Drake Technical School, now J.F. Drake Technical College.
He was an ordained and licensed minister and was a member and elder at Church Street C.P. Church. He served as pastor at New Zion C.P. Church and Mt. Sinai C.P. Church of America.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Williams Hurt of Huntsville; three sons, Robert Rice of Knoxville, Richard Hurt Jr. of Houston and Charles Hurt of Huntsville; two daughters, Angela Hurt Knight and Jacqueline Hurt, both of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Tanisha L. Rodgers of Atlanta; two brothers, Binford Moore of Nashville and Gary Moore of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Lynette Garvin of Buffalo and Avery Jean Bosley of Chicago; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Lamar Jones
Lamar Jones, 87, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Murphy Jones of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. William H. Griffin of Huntsville; two sons, Dr. James Fly Jones of Denver and Douglas Lamar Jones of Boston; two stepsons, Dr. Gates E. Murphy of Athens and retired Navy Capt. James L. Murphy of Maryland; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Billy G. Ledbetter
BOAZ - Billy Glenn Ledbetter, 60, of 176 Niles Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Free Home Cemetery at Grant.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ledbetter; three sons, Toby N. Ledbetter of Virginia, Christopher D. Ledbetter of Boaz and Ryan K. Ledbetter; his mother, Elizabeth Ledbetter; one sister, Imogene Shell, all of Albertville; and six grandchildren.
Helen S. Lewter
Helen Shelton Lewter, 70, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Survivors include her husband, Homer Lewter of Huntsville; two sons, Larry Wayne Lewter of Fayetteville and James Michael Lewter of Huntsville; two daughters, Wilma Madden of Florence and Helen Marie Lewter of Huntsville; one brother, Paul Thomas Shelton of Fayette and Jean Malone of Huntsville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ATHENS - George Milan McElyea, 76, of U.S. 72 died Friday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Paul E. McLin
ATHENS - Paul Edward McLin of 210 South Beaty St. died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Robert Sharman officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. McLin was retired from the federal government, where he was an ordnance comptroller.
Survivors include his wife, Elva Bell McLin; two daughters, Jan McLin Bexhoeft of Arlington, Va., and Sheila Endres of Leander, Texas; two sons, Paul E. McLin Jr. of Dallas and Carl W. McLin of Garland, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Ina McLin of Sylmar, Calif., and Dorothy Mae McLin of Redding, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gene D. Oakes
Gene David Oakes, 63, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The celebration of life service will be today at 11 a.m. at Fanning Heights Church of Christ with Roy Taylor officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Oakes was a native of Irion, Ga., and was retired from electronics sales. He was a member of Fanning Heights Church of Christ and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Ziegler of Chino Hill, Calif., and Caroline Oakes of California; two sons, David Oakes of Charlotte, N.C., and John Oakes of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Elsie Mason of Huntsville and Norene Pope of Ardmore; five grandchildren; and a special friend, Linda Rutledge.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Cora Lee Smith, 84, died Thursday at her home in Hattiesburg. The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg with Elders Curtis Nobles and Michael Hurst officiating.
Burial will be in Dixie Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Smith; one son, George Smith of Gulfport, Miss.,; three daughters, Pat Mims of Huntsville and Frances Rayburn and Peggy Graham, both of Hattiesburg; two brothers, Lewis Baker of Wiggins, Miss., and Howard Baker of Hattiesburg; one sister, Mildred Lott of Hattiesburg; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

CROSSVILLE - Daniel Lee Stephens, 91, of 174 Pea Ridge Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at New Canaan Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing.
Survivors include three daughters, Nell Sampson, Betty Champion and Sheila Reeves, all of Albertville; five sons, Sammy Stephens, Benward Stephens, Bobby Stephens and Jerry Stephens, all of Albertville, and Jimmy Stephens of Gadsden; one sister, Lula Bell Johns of Georgia; 48 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

LACEYS SPRING - Marna Ledbetter Taylor, 82, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South with the Rev. Smith Ledbetter and the Rev. Ferrell Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Joe Ledbetter of New Hope and James Ledbetter and Wayne Ledbetter, both of Laceys Spring; four daughters, Sarah Fergerson of New Hope, Debbie Boyette of Laceys Spring, Frances Whitworth of Birmingham and Edna Beck of Hixson, Tenn.; one sister, Winona Rowan of Attalla; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

HORTON - Melvin Patton White Sr., 74, of 848 Bethlehem Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda White; three daughters, Jane Ott of Henager, Regina Taylor of Pisgah and Mazell Higgins of Albertville; three sons, Melvin Pat White of Boaz, Lee White of Douglas and Alfred Smalley of Albertville; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

William Thomas ''Tom White of 5304 Whitesburg Drive died Friday at a local hospital.

BOAZ - Nelson Williams, 77, of 565 Williams Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Amos of Boaz, Mary S. Brown of Gadsden and Lisa Smith of Trussville; three sons, Donald Lee Williams, Timothy W. Williams and Frankie G. Survivors include her parents, J.W. and Brenda Wininger of Scottsboro; four sisters, Tonia Dees of Stuttgart, Ark., and Tracy Dicus, Alisha Dicus and Mary Dicus; five brothers, Billy Jack Wininger of Skyline and Pete Wininger, Scottie Wininger, Joey Dicus Jr. and Nathan Dicus; and her grandmother, Mandy McBride, all of Scottsboro.
