Mary L. Boyd
Mary Lucille Boyd, 76, of Huntsville died today at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Locust Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert White Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Roy Heaton, William Dennis Hargrove and Jimmy Lee Hargrove, all of Huntsville; one daughter, Brenda Gail Morris of Huntsville; one brother, Joe Davis of Nevada; one sister, Pauline Bailey of Huntsville; and 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillian H. Burris
ATHENS - Lillian H. Burris, 77, of 26850 Bain Road died Tuesday at her home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Mamie A. Chitwood
FORT PAYNE - Mamie A. Chitwood, 79, died Monday at an area nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Melvin Owens and Fred Glover officiating.
Burial will be in Wesleys Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Chitwood was a native of DeKalb County and a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Harrison Chitwood of Fort Payne; one sister, Irene Stallings of Henagar; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Melanie Y. Gunnoe
Melanie Y. Gunnoe, 42, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Virgil C. Haygood
BIRMINGHAM - Virgil Clyde Haygood, 89, of Birmingham died Tuesday. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church at Aroney.
Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Mr. Haygood was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Syble Drescher of Florida, Wanda Dove of Birmingham and Sheila Swindle of Glencoe; two sons, Vernon Haygood of Whitesboro and Ronald Haygood of Montevallo; one sister, Omie Simpson of Boaz; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Clarence F. Johnson
ATHENS - Clarence F. Johnson, 91, died Tuesday at an Athens hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Margaret F. Jones
Margaret Frances Jones, 76, of Huntsville died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Massachusetts and had lived in Huntsville since 1980. She was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Rossi of Enfield, Conn.; three sons, Stewart Jones and David Jones, both of Huntsville, and Thomas Jones of Maine; one sister, Ruth Jones of Vermont; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary D. Lavender
ALBERTVILLE - Mary Diane Lavender, 50, of 414 South Broad St. died Monday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Memory Hill Mausoleum with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. B.N. and Lucille Lavender.
Survivors include two brothers, John Lavender of Albertville and Stephen Lavender of Huntsville; and two nephews, Jeffery Lavender of Boaz and Michael Hill of Tennessee.

Roger D. Locke Sr.
TONEY - Roger Dale Locke Sr., 53, died Tuesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mackey Locke of Madison; one son, Joey Locke of Toney; one daughter, April Locke of Madison; his mother, Lillian Locke of Harvest; one brother, Philip Locke of Harvest; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Harvest Baptist Church.

Lillie McLain
SCOTTSBORO - Lillie McLain, 94, of 6253 Swearengen Road died Monday at an area nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Cecile Whitehead and Bettie Sue Fox, both of Georgia, Pickey Guffey and Linda Potter, both of Scottsboro, and Mary Jane Childers of Kentucky; one son, Luther Earl McLain of Scottsboro; two sisters, Frances Smith of Bryant and Willie Mae Hartline of Fort Payne; one brother, Charles Mason of Bridgeport; and 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Verna T. Pitchford
BOAZ - Verna T. Pitchford, 82, died Monday at a Gadsden hospital. The graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sumners and Dianne McCullars, both of Boaz; two sisters, Louise Thornhill of Mississippi and Betty Renfroe of Boaz; one brother, Cleo Tillman of Arizona; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Emma G. Redus
SCOTTSBORO - Emma Grace Redus, 75, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Kirby Town Cemetery.
Mrs. Redus, a native of Jackson County, attended Greater St. Paul AME Church and was a member of Eastern Star Lodge in Scottsboro.
Survivors include one brother, Lensey King of Glencoe, seven nieces and one nephew.
Visitation is today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

B. Imogene Sharp
B. Imogene Sharp, 62, of Huntsville died today at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharp was a native of Madison County, retired from the Kroger store on Oakwood Avenue after 32 years and a member of West Huntsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Sharp of Huntsville; three daughters, Nancy Jane Certain and Barbara Burttram, both of Huntsville, and Donna Jean Clifford of Maysville; one son, Mickey Sharp of Huntsville; six sisters, Joyce Bartlett and Faye Potter, both of Huntsville, Vivian Lambert of Arab, Ludell Reeves of New Market, and Minnie Lee Perry and Glenda Wolf, both of Taylor, S.C.; one brother, Ray Sharp of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irene Sisk
PRINCETON - Irene Sisk, 82, died Monday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Holly Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Campbell officiating.
Burial was to be in Clay Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Sisk and Ralph Sisk, both of Estill Fork; three brothers, Thurman Steele of Hazel Green, Harvey Steele of Scottsboro and Gene Steele of Huntland, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Willie H. Smith
TRENTON - Willie H. Smith, 67, died Tuesday in Huntsville. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Emerson Lyle officiating.
Burial will be in Trenton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Smith-Fluke.
Survivors include one son, Don C. Smith of Huntsville; one daughter, Sheila S. Ennis of New Orleans; three sisters, Erlene S. Allison and Emily S. St. Clair, both of Stevenson, and Eloise S. Pogue of Adrian, Mich.; one brother, Buddy T. Smith of Princeton; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
