Annie Anders
GUNTERSVILLE - Annie Pearl Smith Anders, 84, of 2685 Dunlap Ave. died Tuesday in Huntsville. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Davis of Huntsville; one son, Lee R. Anders Jr. of Atlanta; one brother, Earl Smith of Guntersville; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mark D. Bader
ARLINGTON, Texas - Mark D. Bader, 45, died Saturday in Texas. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Bader was a native of Flint, Mich., moved to Huntsville with his family in 1955 and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1971. He served in the Navy from 1972 to 1975 and in 1978 graduated from Auburn University with a bachelors degree in industrial design. He moved to Texas to work for General Dynamics on the design of the F-16 fighter cockpit. He has worked as a designer and project manager for product and corporate aircraft design accounts and as a project engineer for Peterbilt Motors. He had a lifelong love of automobiles and was a member of the Porsche Club and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bader of Arlington; one son, David Bader of Arlington; his mother, Margaret M. "Peggy" Bader of Huntsville; one sister, Susan Bader of Nashville; one brother, David Bader of Huntsville; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to National Brain Tumor Foundation, 785 Market St., Ste. 1600, San Francisco, Calif., 94103, or to the Emery J. Lilge Community Hospice of Texas, 11901 South Freeway, Burleson, Texas, 76028.

Pearl Bedingfield
ROGERSVILLE - Mrs. Pearl Bedingfield, 90, died Wednesday at a Florence hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home of Athens.

Dorothy R. Brown
Dorothy R. Brown, 75, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church with the Rev. George Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Brown of Huntsville; two sons, Philip D. Brown and Glenn R. Brown, both of Huntsville; three daughters, Cheryl B. Storrs of Guntersville, Cathy B. Skipworth of Madison and Marilyn B. Fowler of Huntsville; one brother, Charles Ray of Hixson, Tenn.; one sister, Judy Ray of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, to cancer research or to Mountain View Baptist Church.

Lois E. Clark
Lois Evelyn Clark, 75, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Clark was a native of Madison County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude H. Clark; and one son, Larry G. Clark.
Survivors include two daughters, Dona Clark of Huntsville; and LaVonne Clark of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Louise Barrett of Detroit and Gracie Hill and Joann Bolden, both of Huntsville; three brothers, Melvin Mitchell, Hugh Mitchell and Donald Mitchell, all of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gerald E. Cole
Gerald Emerson Cole, 86, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W.O. "Dub" McCain officiating.
Burial will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Tabernacle Cemetery in Pickens County.
Mr. Cole was a retired technical illustrator for the aerospace industry. He was a former member of HALMA, a local art organization.
Survivors include one son, Wynton Andrew Cole of Huntsville; one daughter, Lynthea Gail Cole of Huntsville; and one grandson.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joline M. Costner
ALBERTVILLE - Joline Milwee Costner, 70, of 302 Briarwood Ave. died Tuesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Union Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Rick Costner of Crossville; two sisters, Marian Head of Boaz and Fayrene Davis of Aroney; two brothers, Marlin Milwee of Kilpatrick and Truman Milwee of Arab; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lawrence H. Crutcher
Lawrence H. "Nopie" Crutcher, 60, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James P.B. Church with Bishop Lunia Leslie Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two sisters, evangelist Mattie Shavers of Rockford, Ill., and Bessie M. Cotton of Huntsville; and three brothers, Allen Crutcher, Willie L. Crutcher and Joseph Crutcher, all of Huntsville.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Julie E. Goree
SOMERVILLE - Julie Elizabeth Goree, infant daughter of Mark and Kim Goree of Somerville, died Monday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Royce Teague officiating and Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle in charge.
Survivors include one brother, Logan Goree of Somerville; grandparents, James Ray and Jean Hodges of Athens and Lynn and Royce Goree of Somerville; and great-grandparents, Ray Champion of Somerville, A.D. and Lou Ella Hargroder and James L. and Julia Day, all of Athens.

James Harvell
ATHENS - Bro. James Harvell, 52, died Monday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke M.B. Church with Bro. Samuel Foster officiating.
Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home in charge.
Bro. Harvell had worked for General Motors 13 years and was the owner of Harvells Barber Shop and Photography in Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Harvell of Athens; one daughter, Demetria Harvell of Athens; and two brothers and five sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or American Red Cross.

John H. Knight
BOAZ - John Hermon Knight, 81, of 509 Elm St. died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville.
Survivors include his wife, Dinie S. Knight; two daughters, Wanda Mann and Shirley Troxtel, both of Boaz; three sons, John H. Knight Jr. of Attalla, Oscar Knight of Boaz and Ralph Knight of Albertville; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Howard C. Maddox
Howard Columbus Maddox, 85, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Maddox was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie P. Maddox.
Survivors include one brother, Clifford Maddox of Huntsville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.

Thomas S. McGinness
Thomas Steve McGinness, 55, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Loveday officiating.
Mr. McGinness was a native of Huntsville, retired from the Navy and a member of the VFW and police reserve organizations.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie McGinness of Huntsville; and several cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary A. Mefford
Mary Aileen Mefford, 82, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Mefford was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., but had spent most her life in Madison County. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Mefford of Huntsville; seven daughters, Ann Clark of Gurley, Flo Gannon of Woodville, Carolyn Jones of Pulaski, Tenn., Jane Dupree of Monrovia, Terri Dix of Arab and Sherri Lester and Lisa Morrison, both of Huntsville; six sons, Raymond Mefford, Tim Mefford and Randy Mefford, all of Huntsville, Calvin Mefford of Chicago, Vance Mefford of New Hope and Mike Mefford of San Bernadino, Calif.; and 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tressie I. Mitchell
RAINSVILLE - Tressie Idell Mitchell, 73, died Wednesday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Revs. John Hicks, Travis Carr and Buddy Stone officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Jones of Rainsville; three sons, Charles Stiefel of Detroit and Carl Stiefel and Eddie Stiefel, both of Albertville; two brothers, Clyde Mitchell of Rainsville and Charles Ray Mitchell of Fyffe; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today at the funeral home.

Evans Nelson
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Evans Nelson, 85, of 212 Davidson Drive died Tuesday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Nelson was a native of Giles County, Tenn., a former employee of Lincoln Floor Covering, the owner and operator of several service stations, a World War II veteran and a member of West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Owene Nelson of Fayetteville; one sister, Catherine Jones of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Nina Peeples
HARTSELLE - Nina Jo Gordon Peeples, 80, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth, Ga., with the Rev. Jesse Hart officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Chatsworth, with Peck Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Peeples was retired from the W.T. Grant Co., a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Decatur and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Peeples.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Slate of Hartselle and Jenny Hartselle of Decatur; one son, Joe Peeples of Greenville, S.C.; and 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Mildred Phillips
CROSSVILLE - Mildred Norvelle White Phillips, 76, of 83 Circle Lane died Tuesday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz.
Survivors include her husband, Hilton Phillips; one daughter, Linda G. Smith of Crossville; three sons, Darrell Phillips of Georgia, Terry Phillips of Virginia and Gene Phillips of Oklahoma; and 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Birdie A. Randolph
Birdie Anna Randolph, 79, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11:45 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church on Bob Wallace Avenue with the Rev. Roger Cooper and the Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Randolph was a native of Courtland and had lived in Huntsville more than 50 years. She was retired from Huntsville Hospital and was a member of the First Assembly of God.
Survivors include three sons, Rapheal Randolph of Harvest, Tony Randolph of New Market and Phillip Randolph of White Hall, Tenn.; three daughters, Willa Dean Randolph and Janice Worley, both of Huntsville, and Lethis Hindman of Harvest; one brother, Sidney Junior Terry of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church 45 minutes before the funeral.

Leslie G. Tucker
ATHENS - Leslie G. Tucker, 71, of Washington Street died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home of Athens.

Willie B. Wade
NASHVILLE - Willie B. Wade Sr., 73, died Monday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Meridianville P.B. Church with Elder Terrence Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Allura Wade of Nashville; one daughter, Darryl Ann Brock of Nashville; one son, Willie B. Wade Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; five sisters, Charlie Mae Hall of Nashville, Pearl Gibson and Dorothy Carter, both of Las Vegas, Eva Stewart of Toney and Lucy Simpson of Arleta, Calif.; four brothers, James Paul Wade and Robert Wade, both of Chicago, and Otha Wade and Roosevelt Wade, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Odell Walden
GUNTERSVILLE - Odell Walden, 82, of 4211 Morrow St. died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie C. Walden; one sister, Ina Harris of Guntersville; and one brother, S.G. Smith of Guntersville.
