FRANKEWING, Tenn. - Sammie H. Armstrong, 93, of 8 Braden Hollow Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Smith and Glenn Tieman officiating.
Burial will be in Wrights Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Armstrong, a native of Marshall County, Tenn., was a homemaker and a member of McBurg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Durham of the McBurg community; a son, Howard Armstrong of the Red Oak community; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara O. Baker, 83, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements and will be in charge of burial.
Nolen J. Cardin
LACEYS SPRING - Nolen Johnson Cardin, 64, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at the Skyline Holiness Church with the Revs. Vernon Stephens Jr. and Paul Warren officiating.
Burial was in Skyline Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Cardin; one daughter, Patty Knight of Skyline; three sons, James Cardin of Skyline, Donny Cardin of Smyrna, Tenn. and Rodney Cardin of Woodbury, Tenn.; his father, William Harvey Cardin of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three sisters, Veta Warren and Betty Kilgore, both of Murfreesboro, and Thelma Teet of Tullahoma, Tenn.; one brother, Red Cardin of Hidgon; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

Rosalie McMeans Carter of Oster Drive in Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Gallant Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements and will be in charge of burial.
Arlene Fisher Cooper
Arlene Fisher Cooper, 85, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Progressive Union M.B. Church with the Rev. Wayne Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include a daughter, Muzett Baxter of Huntsville, a grandson, James W. Cooper Sr. of Huntsville; and three great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Mildred H. Duncan
SECTION - Mrs. Mildred Harris Duncan, 63, died Wednesday in Fort Payne. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Waldon officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Eldradge Duncan of Section; two daughters, Renee Reed of Dutton and Pamela Furlong of Skyline; two sons, Michael Duncan of Cullman and Steven Duncan of Section; two sisters, Janette Wilkinson of Flat Rock and Reathel Alexander of Chattanooga; and eight grandchildren.
Buford Evans
DUTTON - Buford Evans, 66, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 4 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene McDowell officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bishop Evans; four daughters, Brenda Lord of Huntsville, Gail Evans of Fayetteville, Tenn., Sandra Haswell of Section and Jan Motes of Owens Cross Roads; one son, Buford Evans Jr. of Scottsboro; his mother, Louise Tatum of Dutton; one sister, Sue Keiter of Lake City, Fla.; one brother, Lloyd Evans of Scottsboro; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ona Davis Hale
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. - Ona Davis Hale, 88, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Mayes Mortuary with the Revs. Randy Davis and Danny Georges officiating.
Burial will be in Jarnagin Cemetery with Mayes Mortuary in charge.
Survivors include a son, Richard Hale of Huntsville; four daughters, Roberta Johnston of Bradenton, Fla., Betty Seal of Nashville and Margaret Needham and Mildred Hinchey, both of Morristown; two sisters, Pauline Turner of Morristown and Martha Stephenson of Meadville, Pa.,; and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
William C. Hambrick
CHATTANOOGA - William Clinton Hambrick, 75, died Wednesday. The funeral was today at 10:30 a.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home in Chattanooga with Pastors Hubert Riethmeler and Arthur Ledebuhr officiating.
Burial was in Clay Cemetery in Princeton, Ala., with Scottsboro Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hambrick, a native of Princeton, was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Chattanooga, a retired employee of the Mueller Co. and a U.S. Army veteran. He had lived in Chattanooga for the last 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Cornelia Hambrick; one daughter, Barbara Covington of Chattanooga; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Chattanooga or the American Cancer Society.
Edna Grace Johnson
ARAB - Edna Grace Johnson, 59, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda K. Byrd of Owens Cross Roads; two sons, James C. Phillips of Birmingham and Albert C. Strickland of Arab; two sisters, Elgie Beal and Genevea Massingill, both of North Carolina; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Timothy "Tim" Kelly, 30, of Huntsville died today at a local hospital. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

The Rev. Kenneth B. Lankford Sr., 73, of 1910 Oglesby Drive died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at St. James P.B. Church with the Rev. John Clay officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Lankford of Huntsville; a son, the Rev. Kenneth B. Lankford Jr. of Huntsville; a foster daughter, Delois Hearn of Philadelphia; a foster sister, Roena Parris of Chattanooga; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

HAZEL GREEN - Bessie Margaret Lewis, 81, of 2675 Bobo Section Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in Ardmore with the Rev. Joel Carwile officiating.
Survivors include a son, Harvey Buster Green way of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; two brothers, William "Dub" Lewis of Madison Cross Roads and Luther Lewis of Hazel Green ; a sister, Juanita Scroggins of Blanchard, Mich.; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Myrtle McCain
ANDERSON - Myrtle Idell Shelton McCain, 89, of 643 County Road 509 died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bonnertown Baptist Church with W.O. Dub McCain, Greg DeVries and Billy Holloway officiating.
Burial will be in Bonnertown Cemetery with Loretto Memorial Chapel in charge.
Survivors include five sons, Wesley D. McCain and Roy L. McCain, both of Anderson, Jerry McCain of Lexington, Willie L. McCain of Birmingham and W.O. Dub McCain of Huntsville; two daughters, Lucille Braly of Florence and Shirley Moore of Lawrenceberg, Tenn.; three sisters, Lizzie Shelton and Letha Mae Barnett, both of Anderson, and Vassie Newton of Five Points, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

ELKMONT - Edward Ray ''Eddie Mitchell, 36, of Pine Ridge Road died Wednesday at a Limestone County hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Glenn Kennon officiating.
Mr. Mitchell was a native of Limestone County, a member of Bethel Church of Christ and was employed by the Athens school system.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Mitchell; his parents, Joe and Geraldine Mitchell of Elkmont; one daughter, Salina Mitchell of Elkmont; two sons Camron Mitchell and Logan Mitchell, both of Elkmont; one sister, Ann Mitchell of Elkmont; his grandparents, Lorene Campbell of Elkmont and Horace Mitchell of Toledo, Ohio; two nieces and one nephew.
Melba E. Morrison
NEW HOPE - Melba Elizabeth Morrison, 65, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Honea officiating.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Lawson and Michael Morrison, both of New Hope, and Steven Morrison of Washington; three sisters, Shirley Culbreath of Huntsville, Aultalee Henderson of Weaverand Opal Morris of New Hope; a brother, David Baswell of Arab; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Estes E. Patterson
DECATUR - Estes Eugene Patterson, 71, of Line Street N.E. died Thursday at his home. A graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Cemetery with Dr. David Cummins officiating and Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Patterson was a native of Limestone County, a graduate of Athens State College and a retired merchant.
Survivors include two sons, Lynn Patterson of Decatur and Ray Patterson of Smyrna, Ga.; two daughters, Ravona Ponter and Donna Split-Log, both of Decatur; and six grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
James Bunard Prater
ATHENS - James Bunard Prater, 86, of 17922 Prater Road died Wednesday at an Athens nursing home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Dunn officiating.
Mr. Prater was a resident of Limestone County for 80 years, a member of Isoms Chapel United Methodist Church and the Carpenters Local of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Crouch Prater.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia Robison of Harvest; two sons, J.C. Prater and Ruben Prater, both of Athens; seven grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren: two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Mason Davis Reece
ELKMONT - Mason Davis ''M.D. Reece, 78, of 23640 Alabama 99 died Thursday at a Limestone County hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with James Bridges and Randall Hammock officiating.
Mr. Reece was a native of Limestone County, owned and operated Reeces Grocery in the Cartwright community for 33 years and was a member of ONeal Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Lucille Reece; one daughter, Patsy Davis of Athens; one son, David Reece of Athens; one sister, Ester Clardy of Athens; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Marian L. Reilly
Marian L. Reilly, 89, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local rehabilitation center. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Cushman A. Roberson
ATHENS - Cushman A. Roberson Sr., 71, of 14480 Ripley Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sunnyhill Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
James Robinson
TONEY - James Robinson, 75, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Meridianville P.B. Church with Elder Maurice Childress officiating.
Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Robinson of Toney; a son, Willie Robinson of Toney; a daughter, Lillie Vincent of Huntsville; two sisters, Elmary Robinson and Pearlie M. Tyson, both of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

FALKVILLE - Mrs. Mary Ellen Teague, 81, of 1260 Wilhite Road died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Rev. Bill Gable officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances McReath and Linda T. Popdan, both of Falkville; one son, William R. Teague of Falkville; one sister, Myrtle Smith of Hartselle; and one brother, Curtis Johnson of Logan; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Louise Emily Webster
NEW HOPE - Louise Emily Webster, 71, of 185 Madison Ave. died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with Bobby Starnes officiating.
Survivors include her husband, M.C. LeRoy H. Willy, 65, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Indiana with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include four daughters, Lorraine Borden of Delphi, Ind., Liza Lotz of St. Joseph, Mich., and Trudy Willy and Leah Willy, both of LaGrange, Ky.; and five sisters, one brother and a special friend, Ann Furlough.
