Leslie Clemons
Leslie Clemons, 83, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Cameron Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Edger officiating.
Mr. Clemons was a native of Jackson County, but had spent most his life in Madison County. He was a member of Cedar Gap Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Mary E. Wallman of Trenton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mark T. Couch
GUNTERSVILLE - Mark Timothy Couch, 46, of 45 Barnard Drive died Saturday at his home. A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Garden.
Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Couch; his mother, Willettie Couch of Guntersville; three sisters, Cheryl Couch of Ohio, Janice Mulligan and Rosemary Preacher; and one brother, Thomas A. Couch.
Carolyn T. Early
CINCINNATI, Ohio - Carolyn Tresea Early, 45, died Dec. 8. The funeral was Sunday at New Hope M.B. Church with the Rev. William R. Tibbs officiating.
Burial was in Old Baptist Cemetery with Rudder Funeral Home of Scottsboro in charge.
Mrs. Early was born in Hollywood, Ala. She lived in Cincinnati and was a retired printer.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Early of Cincinnati; one daughter, Tatrina Rochelle Early of Cincinnati; her father, Lonzy Grayson of Hollywood; her mother, Susie Grayson of Hollywood; and one grandchild.
Mable M. Glover
DECATUR - Mable Marty Glover, 78, died Sunday at a Cullman nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Green Valley Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads with the Rev. Don Gentry and the Rev. Gene Lankford officiating.
Ridouts-Brown-Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Glover was a native of Cullman, a retired cosmetologist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and East End United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Survivors include her husband, Wilburn B. Glover of Decatur; one son, Wilburn "Bubba" Glover of Hayden; four daughters, Beverly Martin of Decatur, Donna Maples of Tuscaloosa, Vickie DeVoll of Melbourne, Fla., and Kaye Kelly of Odenville; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Howard G. Hill Sr.
WOODVILLE - Howard Glyon Hill Sr., 78, died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Elder Darrell Chambers officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Derrick Hill; a daughter, M.J. Hill of Philadelphia; and two sons, Howard Hill of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Larry Hill of Woodville.

Cora V. Houseton
SCOTTSBORO - Cora Viola Houseton, 88, died Sunday in Jasper, Tenn. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene McDowell officiating.
Burial will be in Gold Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Katherine Barbee of Scottsboro; and one brother, Walter Tidwell of Skyline.
Visitation is today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Royce R. Kelly
Royce Rowley Kelly, 90, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Terrell Boyd and John Pritchett III and Dr. Walter Nunn officiating.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mr. Kelly was a native of Leedy, Okla., and a resident of Madison County since 1960. He retired from the civil service and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn F. Kelly of Huntsville; one daughter, Kathryn Edwards of New Market; three sons, Michael Kelly of Savannah, Mo., Dennis Kelly of St. Joseph, Mo., and Roger Dale Drake of Harvest; one sister, Lova Smith of Marble Falls, Texas; and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie L. Lewis
GURLEY - Marjorie Lusk Lewis, 63, died Sunday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brent Hawkins officiating.
Burial will be in Gurley Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis was a native of Madison County and retired from Chrysler Corp.
Survivors include two twin sons, Johnny Lewis of Huntsville and Ronnie Lewis, both of Athens; one brother, William "Buddy" Lusk of Ryland; and one grandson.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Billy J. Mann
HOLLY POND - Billy Joe Mann, 57, of Holly Pond died Saturday in Cullman County. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Mann; two daughters, Selena Skipper of Fairview and Stephanie Bentley of Cullman; his father, Willie Mann of Arab; three sisters, Betty Grantland of Springville, Sue Conn of Arab and Pat Hollis of Snead; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flora E. Maxwell
DECATUR - Flora Estelle Maxwell, 77, died Sunday at a Moulton hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with Capt. Mark Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Maxwell was a native of Morgan County, a retired Decatur General Hospital nurses aide and a Methodist.
Survivors include one son, Joe Maxwell of Decatur; one brother, Edis Brown of Morgan City; two sisters, Lurleen Rogers of Hartselle and Elena East Laceys Spring; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
John H. McLain IV
John H. McLain IV, 70, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. Roderic L. Murray III officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. McLain was president and owner of M.K. Associates Inc., a local industrial design and engineering firm. He was an Auburn graduate and former president of Madison County Young Democrats and Huntsville Auburn Alumni Association. He was also a member of National Society of Industrial Designers and Huntsville Country Club.
Survivors include his former wife, Jib McLain of Huntsville; five sons, John H. McLain V of Athens, Sanford McLain and David McLain, both of Huntsville, Matthew McLain of Gulf Shores and Michael Taunton of Grants Pass, Ore.; two daughters, Wimberly Watts of Huntsville and Susan Gonzales of Los Angeles; one brother, Joe McLain of Tallassee; three sisters, Vivian Baker of Joplin, Mo., and Gloria Fomby and Victoria McLain, both of Tallassee; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Suprena Preston
MADISON - Suprena Preston, 28, died Thursday at her home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Ed Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew Kelly and Tyler McCarley, both of Madison; one brother, Jamye Preston of Huntsville; two sisters, Theresa Preston and Twila Miller, both of Huntsville; and one niece.

Hula C. Starkey
PISGAH - Mrs. Hula Caves Starkey, 94, died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with Revs. Rodney Hammonds and Scott Kerby officiating.
Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Starkey was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and a charter member of the Pisgah Rhododendron Club. She was also a school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Starkey; and one son, Henry Starkey.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Hicks of Trenton, Ga., and Ruth Kirby of Pisgah; one son, Rex Hicks of Hixson, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Ruth M. Sutton
SECTION - Ms. Ruth Mitchell Brown Sutton, 77, died Sunday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Rev. Wesley Barrett officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Thompson of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and Louise Pike of Section; two sons, E.J. Brown of Section and M.D. Brown of Powell; four sisters, Beason Hosch of Rainsville, Wilda Frazier of Valley Head, Freddie Hollis of Chattanooga and Bobbie Cooper of Fort Oglethorpe; and 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Blanch M. Thompson
VALHERMOSO SPRINGS - Blanch McCutcheon Thompson, 91, of Talucah Road died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with the Rev. Melvin Brown and the Rev. Donald Trosper officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle in charge.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Morgan County, a homemaker and a 69-year member of Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Nathan Thompson of Valhermoso Springs; three sons, Howard Thompson and Hurshel Thompson, both of Valhermoso Springs, and Hammond Thompson of Laceys Spring; three daughters, Louise Elrod, Lois West and Linda Atchley, all of Valhermoso Springs; and 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

NEW HOPE - Lillian Vann, 81, died Sunday at a Nashville nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Paseur officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Mattie Whitaker of New Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
