Angel W. Anders
HARTSELLE - Angel Wynn Anders, infant daughter of Jason Brett and Kelly Anders of Hartselle, died Thursday at a Decatur hospital. A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Roundtop Cemetery with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two sisters, Raina Anders and Beth Wynn Anders, both of Hartselle.
Elmer E. Anderson
Dr. Elmer Ebert Anderson, 76, of Huntsville died Friday. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Dr. Anderson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received a doctorate in physics from the University of Maryland and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a son, Scott W. Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Cayey Anderson of Huntsville; five sons, Sven H. Anderson and Kurt W. Anderson, both of Huntsville, Kenneth D. Anderson of Massena, N.Y., Mark D. Anderson of Concord, N.H., and Carl M. Anderson of San Diego Calif.; one daughter, Ruth E. Anderson Kulman of Wakefield, R.I; and five grandchildren.

John R. Bailey
ATHENS - John Ross "Tootie" Bailey, 78, of 23045 Tooties Trail died Tuesday at an Athens hospital. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Carl Witty and Lowell Blankenship officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey was a member of Sardis Springs Church of Christ and a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Bailey of Athens; one daughter, Linda Hester of Decatur; three sons, Kenneth Bailey and Jimmy Bailey, both of Athens, and Rickey Bailey of Elkmont; one sister, Hattie Limbaugh of Athens; three brothers, Tom Bailey, Ed Bailey and Mutt Bailey, all of Athens; and 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Glenn E. Bishop
The Rev. Glenn Eugene Bishop, 73, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral is today at 2:30 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Richards officiating.
Rev. Bishop was a native of Arkansas, but spent most his life in Madison County. He was a Baptist minister for 37 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Wayne Bishop.
Survivors include his wife, Margie R. Bishop of Huntsville; three sons, Michael Ray Bishop of Harvest, Larry Gene Bishop of Huntsville and Jerry Glen Bishop of Ryland; four sisters, Lorene Rice, Gladys Marks and Blanche Lawson, all of Huntsville, and Jo Hogan of Chatsworth, Ga.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
James C. Blankenship
ROGERSVILLE - James Clellon Blankenship, 74, of Rogersville died Wednesday at his residence. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Wendall Gann and Tom Holland officiating.
Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship was a native of Limestone County and a member of Rogersville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Blankenship; four daughters, Judith Thomas of Athens, Barbara Blankenship of Birmingham, Brenda Griffin and Diana Glass, both of Rogersville; three sons, David Grisham of Clover, S.C., Larry Blankenship and Jerry Grisham, both of Rogersville; one brother, Floyd Blankenship of Ardmore; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Phillip D. Burks
NEW HOPE - Phillip Dale Burks, 38, of 5103 Main Drive died Wednesday at his residence. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home East in Hampton Cove with Rev. Woody Harbin officiating.
Mr. Burks worked as a waiter in Arab and later in Huntsville.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Nellie Tate of New Hope; two sisters, Rita Leap of Indiana and Sandra Taymon of Crossville; one half-sister, Brenda Smith of New Hope; two stepsisters, Betty Hughes and Barbara Smith, both of Huntsville; two brothers, James Burks of North Carolina and David Burks of Ardmore, Ala.; one half brother, Ronald Tate of Indiana; two step-brothers, Robert Tate of Meridianville and Roger Dale Tate of Huntsville.
Othello P. Davis
MARIETTA, Ga. - Mrs. Othello P. Davis, 78, died Friday at a Marietta hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W.O. (Dub) McCain officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis lived in Madison County before moving to Marietta in 1970. She retired from Fourroux Shoes in Huntsville.
Survivors include one son, Anthony Mack Davis of Mableton, Ga.; one sister, Lena P. Zettler of Huntsville; and several neices.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Maggie P. Dickerson
Mrs. Maggie P. Dickerson, 80, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at noon at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Julius R. Scruggs officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge,
Mrs. Dickerson was employed by J.C. Penny Co. for 41 years.
Survivors include one son, Harry A. Dickerson of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Georgia P. Snodgrass of Huntsville; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body will be in the church an hour before the funeral.
Gerda S. Geissler
Mrs. Gerda S. Geissler, 77, of Huntsville died Thursday at her residence. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Katharina Coupland of Huntsville and Barbara Stokes of Nashville.
Shirley R. Hammon
FORT PAYNE - Mrs. Shirley R. Hammon, 73, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Memory Garden Chapel.
Entombment will be in Mountain View Mausoleum with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.
Survivors include her husband, L.B. Hammon; two daughters, Linda Lee Williams of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Judy Lynn Goines of Duluth, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
Bobby E. Harris
HARTSELLE - Bobby Eugene ''Outlaw Harris, 53, of Hartselle died Thursday at his residence. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Harris; one daughter, Barbara Price of Rome, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Tammy Posey and Brenda Posey, both of Price ville; one sister, Carolyn Peeples of Hartselle; and one brother, Edgar Harris of Laceys Spring.
Ida Bell Hobbs
MADISON - Mrs. Ida Bell Hobbs, 94, of 472 Mose Chapel Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion CPCA Church with the Rev. James Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Hobbs of Huntsville, Jennie Powell and Birdie Woods, both of Madison, and Fannie Williams of Youngstown, Ohio; a son, Albert Hobbs of Huntsville; 49 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
John R. Johnston
John Richard Johnston, 47, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Rodrick L. Murray officiating.
Burial will be Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnston was a member of Episcopal Church of the Nativity and a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Johnston and Christina Johnston, both of Huntsville; one son, John R. Johnston Jr. of Huntsville; two brothers, William R. Johnston of Four Seasons, Mo., and James H. Johnston of Lisbon, Maine; and one grandchild.
Visitation is today from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville FireFighters Benevolent Fund or the Church of Nativity Memorial Fund.
Mary S. Kackley
MADISON - Mary Sue Kackley, 70, of 125 Woodlawn Drive died Friday at her home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Hall officiating.
Madison Chapel Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ray of Madison; one brother, Mack Swendell of Prattville; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rejena A. Kyle
ANDERSON - Rejena Ann Kyle, 49, of 34314 Highway 99 in Anderson died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Dicie C. Langford
Mrs. Dicie Crutcher Langford, 55, of 6015 Trent Drive died Sunday at her home. The funeral is today at 11 a.m. at Union Chapel M.B. Church with Rev. O. Wendell Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Langford was a member of the Union Chapel M.B. Church and member of the church choir for more than 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, John S. Langford; one daughter, Cathy Crutcher of Huntsville; one son, Marlon Langford of Huntsville; three sisters, Janice Mae Horton of Huntsville, Ethel Grier of Cleveland, Ohio, and Geneva Reed of Hazel Green ; four brothers, Charlie Crutcher of Huntsville, Willis Crutcher Jr. of Decatur, and George Crutcher and Tom Crutcher both of Toney; and two grandchildren.
The body will be at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Thelma McAfee
LYNCHBURG, Tenn. - Mrs. Thelma McAfee, 88, of Booneville Road died Thursday at Lincoln County hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. David Spencer officiating.
Burial will be in Lynchburg Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. McAfee was a native of Lincoln County and retired from the DeLong Jacket Factory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles McAfee.
Survivors include two sons, William Charles McAfee Jr. of Franklin and Kenneth Wayne McAfee of Lynchburg; two daughters, Dorothy Frame of Tullahoma and Wilma Bonner of Lynchburg; and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral.
Mary A. R. McCleod
OZARK - Mary Alice Rice McCleod, 74, died Saturday, Dec. 19, at an Ozark hospital. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at St. Paul AME Church with the Rev. David Reddick officiating.
Burial will be in Ozark City Cemetery with Traywick-Ozark Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. McCleod was a former resident of Huntsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Alicia Rivers of Ozark; three sisters, Mossie McCall and Dr. Nell Anthony, both of Huntsville, and Gertrude Rice of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Joe D. Rice of Huntsville, George Rice and Flute Rice, both of Toledo; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Thomas G. Orosco
Thomas Glen Orosco, 51, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. A memorial service is today at 4 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Orosco was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and retired from the Army as a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hedwig Orosco.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Orosco of Huntsville; a son, Thomas Ryan Orosco of Huntsville; his mother, Merle Stringer of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and one brother, Stan Orosco of Hattiesburg.

Cleveland H. Parker
TONEY - Cleveland H. Parker, 55, of 10466 Wall Triana Highway died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at noon at First Seventh-day Adventist Church with Elder Benjamin Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Parker was an employee of Chrysler Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Threatha Diane Parker; two daughters, Glenda Bell and Linda Coleman of Salinas, Calif.; a son, Fredrick Alan Parker of Toney; three sisters, Gloria Bell of Huntsville, Rose Evelyn McWhite of Toney and Alberta Marshall of Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Melvin Parker and Garnell Parker, both of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.

Charles J. Smith
SECTION - Charles J. Smith, 75, died Wednesday in a South Pittsburg, Tenn., hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at New Canaan Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Smith was a native of Jackson County and retired from Jackson County Board of Education.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelby Moore of Mississippi; two sons, Jerry Smith of Michigan and Charles Rayford Smith of Section; one sister, Bonnie Lou Hicks of Section; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Bonnie B. Stevens
Bonnie Berryhill Stevens, 92, Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rolland Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevens was a member of Stateline Methodist Church.
Survivors include 10 neices and nine nephews.
Visitation is today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Samuel R. Taylor
ARDMORE, Ala. - Samuel Ray Taylor, 77, of 27301 Alabama Highway 251 died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at the Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor had lived in Ardmore for 20 years. He lived in Detroit from 1954 to 1978 where he was employed at General Motors, from which he retired. Mr. Taylor also owned a business in Ardmore.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dolphus Taylor.
Survivors include his wife Faye Taylor; one daughter, Peggy Newsom of Mayfield, Ky.; three sons, Douglas Taylor, Donald Taylor and David Taylor, all of Ardmore; one sister, Ethel Duncan of Ferndale, Mich.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
William L. Walker
William Lyman Walker, 75, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Walker was a native of Wayne County, N.C., and a resident of Madison County for 40 years. He was served in the Army in World War II and retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command in 1985.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Bertram Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Ida M. Walker of Huntsville; one son, Dale Stewart Walker of Titusville, Fla.; three daughters, Deborah Aurora Bolden and Lisa Annette Lammers, both of Hazel Green, and Sherry Lynne King of Toney; three brothers, Kenneth Walker of McLeansville, N.C., Berry Swift Walker Jr. and Max Walker, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; five sisters, Faye Sutton of LaGrange, N.C., Marjorie Crawford, Helon Wise, Merle Jean Hobbs and Shirley Lawrence, all of Goldsboro; and 14 grandchildren.
