Dora Lee Adkins
Dora Lee Adkins, 89, of Huntsville died Monday at a Guntersville nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Adkins was born and raised in Marshall County, but lived in Madison County for 70 years. She was a charter member of Latham United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Eaton of Huntsville; a brother, Gordon McDonald of Plano, Texas; a sister, Maymie Forrester of Guntersville; and one grandson, three granddaughters, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bryan Edward Alviso
TONEY - Bryan Edward Alviso, 26, died Monday at his home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by McConnell Funeral home in Athens.

Helen L. Brockway
NEW HOPE - Helen L. Brockway, 53, of 227 Wesley Childers Road died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was Monday at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Bevel officiating.

Burial was in Hayden Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Craig Brockway of New Hope; one daughter, Jennifer Brockway Glover of New Hope; two sons, Johnny Craig Brockway and Nathan E. Brockway, both of New Hope; her mother, Theta Hornbuckle of New Hope; and nine grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.

Herman Chisholm
Herman Chisholm, 74, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Aubrey Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Chisholm, a native of Madison County, was a World War II veteran, the former owner of Chisholm Jewelry and worked at Larrys Pistol and Pawn. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama.

Survivors include his wife, Eugenia C. Chisholm of Huntsville; a daughter, Carol Chisholm Andrus of Houston, Texas; two sons, John Thrasher of Centerville, Ohio, and Philip Thrasher of Memphis; a sister, Loretta Patterson of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or to a favorite charity.

William Corbin
ARAB - William "Bill Corbin, 86, of 2792 Cranford Road died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial was to be in Rice Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Corbin of Arab; one brother, James E. Corbin of Arab; and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ann A. Donovan
COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Ann A. Donovan, 83, formerly of Huntsville, died Monday May 11 at a Florida hospital.

The funeral was Thursday May 14 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Fla.

Survivors include a son, Francis Donovan of Cape Canaveral; three daughters, Judith Riehm of Orlando, Betsy Rhoades of Boaz and Joan Spry of Huntsville; two sisters, Marguerite Cappodanno of Wilmington, Del., and Irene Flynn of Orlando; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren

Ted Downs
TANNER - Ted Downs, 81, of Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Bobby Marks officiating.

Burial was in Athens City Cemetery.

Mr. Downs was a farmer, a member of Tanner United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlin Downs and Doyle Downs.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Downs; one son, Gary Downs of Tanner; three sisters, Vellahree Marks, Robbie Evans and Nella Russell, all of Athens; five brothers, George Downs of Paint Rock, Talmadge Downs of Decatur, Devaughn Downs of Madison, Lewis Downs and Rub Downs, both of Athens; and three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

John Joseph Filippo
John Joseph Filippo, 77, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Roman Mueller officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Filippo, a native of Italy, lived in the U.S. since he was 6 years old. He was a U.S. Marine Corps World War II veteran and a retired engineer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary K. Filippo of Huntsville; a daughter, Rosemary C. Filippo of Huntsville; a son, John V. Filippo of Madison; and three sisters, Concetta Malito of San Jose, Calif., Sylvia Miceli of Chicago and Lillian Bentrovato of Holiday, Fla.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a vigil at 7 p.m.

Clifford F. Freeman
TRIANA - Clifford Fletcher Freeman, 16, died Saturday. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Triana with the Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Triana Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Freeman of Triana; one sister, Cindy Fletcher of Triana; two brothers, Jeremiah Fletcher and Maurice Fletcher, both of Triana; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Freeman Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Lesley Fletcher Sr., all of Triana.

His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Calvin L. Frost
FYFFE - Calvin L. Frost, 29, died Sunday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville.

Burial will be in Carter Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.

Survivors include his parents, Glenn and Johnnie Sue Stallings; a brother, Charles V. Stallings of Dawson, Ala.; and a grandfather, Alvie Clayton of Geraldine.

Cleveland Green
ATHENS - Cleveland Green, 69, of Athens died Sunday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Hopewell M.B. Church with the Rev. Larry Lockett officiating.

Burial will be in Thatch-Mann Cemetery with Peoples Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Green was a member of New Hopewell M.B. Church in Tanner and was retired from ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. after 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Bradley Green of Athens; six daughters, Arlene Cattage and Mattie D. Green, both of Huntsville, Geraldine Turner, Cynthia Green and Jacqulyn Malone, all of Athens, and Cheryl Allen of Chula Vista, Calif.; six sons, Charles Bradley of Huntsville, Myron Green, Travis Green, Bryant Green, Timothy W. Green and Wernher Green, all of Athens; four sisters, Lucille Sledge, Betty E. Green, Eula Malone and Jo Ann Brown, all of Athens; five brothers, Willie R. Green Jr. of Huntsville, Charlie Green of Nashville and Jim Green, Jimmy Davis and Ram Hammonds, all of Athens; and one aunt, 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael F. Hardiman
ALBANY, La. - Michael Franklin Hardiman, 39, of 29301 Dora Loraine Lane died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens with Mark Larue officiating.

Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hardiman was a former resident of Limestone County, Ala., and was preceded in death by his mother, Hester Ann Bullard Hardiman.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Sue Sprague Hardiman; two daughters, Lindsay Ann Hardiman and Julie Grace Hardiman, both of Albany; his father and stepmother, Clyde Franklin and Emma Hardiman of Athens; and one sister, Charlotte Ann Osborn of Athens.

Rayford Owen Hyatt
MOULTON - Rayford Owen Hyatt, 72, died Sunday at his home in Bankhead National Forest. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Moulton.

Burial will be in Wolfe Pen Cemetery at Bankhead National Forest with Elliot Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Hyatt was a World War II veteran and served as a conservation officer for the Alabama Department of Game and Fish for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Schlosser Hyatt; two sons, Daniel Lee Hyatt of Decatur and Robert Charles Hyatt of Moulton; a daughter, Shirley Hyatt Walden Robinson of Huntsville; a sister, Glenda Hyatt Knight Watts of Cullman; and two grandsons, one granddaughter and two step-granddaughters.

William T. Kelly
William Timothy "Tim" Kelly, 30, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral was Monday at Twickenham Funeral Home with Robin Wadley officiating.

Burial was in Twickenham Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Kelly of Huntsville; a son, Cory of Huntsville; a daughter, Jessica of Huntsville; his father, Kenneth Kelly of Gurley; his mother, Patricia Davis of Huntsville; three brothers, Philip Kelly and Matthew Kelly, both of Huntsville, and Michael Kelly of Gurley; a sister, Renae Kelly of Gurley; and a grandmother, Kathryn Kelly of Gurley.

Carria Laney
RAINSVILLE - Miss Carria Laney, 89, died Sunday. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at the Rainsville Church of Christ with the Revs. V.W. Boland, Douglas Farmer and Harold Williams officiating.

Burial was to be in adjoining cemetery.

Survivors include serveral nieces and nephews.

Ivarie Mae Langford
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Ivarie Mae Langford, formerly of Huntsville, died Wednesday at a Fayetteville, N.C., hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Big Shiloh P.B. Church with the Rev. Woodrow Kirby officiating.

Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include a daughter, Gertrude Sales of Fayetteville, N.C.; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ollie King Melson
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ollie King Melson of Morningsidie Drive died Monday at a Lincoln County Hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at graveside with the Rev. Joe Mayberry officiating.

Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Melson, a native of Athens, Ala., was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Melson Sr.; and a son, Harry Melson.

Survivors include a son, Robert "Bobby" Melson Jr. of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

Aque Posey
ELKMONT - Aque Posey, 82, of 20383 McCathy Hollow Lane died Saturday at his home. The funeral was Monday at McConnell funeral Home in Athens with Danny McMullins officiating.

Burial was in Athens City Cemetery.

Mr. Posey was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Dimple Virginia Posey; five daughters, Shirley Jones of Huntsville, Rita Posey of Elkmont, Virginia Sandrock, Margaret Faulkner and Marjorie Sherrill, all of Athens; four brothers, Russell Posey of Moulton, Rubert Posey, Hurbert Posey and Sylvester Posey, all of Athens; one sister, Pauline Ridgner of Elkmont; and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Marian Lucille Reilly
Marian Lucille "Sally" Reilly, 89, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local rehabilitation center. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South.

Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Twickenham Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include three daughters, Patty Mayo of Huntsville, Judy Martin of Houston, Texas, and Micki Currin of Monument, Colo.; and eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association.

Jimmie Schrimsher
NEW HOPE - Jimmie Lee Schrimsher, 75, of 189B Sam Maples Road died Tuesday May 19 at her home. The funeral was Thursday at New Hope Holiness Church with Bros. John D. Stapler and Jerry Stapler officiating.

Burial was in Brown Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Schrimsher was a member of New Hope Holiness Church for 11 years. She was a homemaker and a nanny.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Pentecost of New Hope; a son, Carlton Schrimsher of New Hope; a brother, Ralph Hone of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Earl Seagraves
ARAB - Earl Seagraves, 75, of 311 3rd St. died Saturday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Cemetery.

Gober Funeral Home of Arab will be in charge of burial.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Seagraves; two daughters, Georgina Hardin of Arab and Brenda Messick of Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Wayne Tucker
ELORA, Tenn. - Wayne Tucker, 43, of Limestone Road died Sunday at a Lincoln County hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Eugene West officiating.

Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Tucker, a native of Franklin County, Tenn., was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Howerton Tucker of Elora; two sons, Jason Wayne Tucker and Michael Wayne Tucker, both of Elora; six brothers, Randall Tucker and Richard Tucker, both of Fayetteville, Tenn., Billy Tucker and Bobby Tucker, both of Elora, William Tucker of Old Salem, Tenn., and Johnny Tucker of Gurley.
