Thomas G. Burgett
ARAB - Thomas G. Burgett, 71, of 1350 Cullman Road died Thursday in a Guntersville nursing home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Burgett; one daughter, Diane Garrison of Joppa; one son, Wayne Burgett of Arab; two sisters, Irene Wright and Betty Johnson, both of Arab; and four grandchildren.
Keith W. Bright
HAZEL GREEN - Keith Wayne Bright, 30, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bright was a native of Olympia, Wash., and a resident of Madison for 25 years.
Survivors include his father, Billy W. Bright; stepfather, Haley Wayne Casteel of Hazel Green ; four stepsisters, Dawn Bennett and Vangy Evett, both of Hazel Green, Belinda Casteel of Canton, Ga., and Janice Hildestad of Harvest; two stepbrothers, James Casteel of Hazel Green and Jason Bright of Athens; grandmothers, Odessa Bright of Capshaw and Mildred Casteel of Hazel Green ; and a number of aunts and uncles.
Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Era L. Case
ATHENS - Mrs. Era Lee Case, 74, of West Washington St. died Friday at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home in Athens.
Neville R. Garrett
LACEY SPRINGS - Neville Ray Garrett, infant, died Thursday at a Cullman hospital. A graveside service will be today at 3 p.m. at Eva Cemetery in Eva with Rev. Brady McCullough officiating and Williams-McCracken Funeral Home in Cullman in charge.
Survivors include his father, James Ray Garrett; mother, Amy Lynn Harvey; one brother, Tyler McCoy Simmons; one sister, Destiny Nicole Garrett; his grandparents, Georgietta Bearden and Marcus Barrett, both of Lacey Springs, Patty Diane Oden and Jerome Oden, both of Cullman.
Visitation will be today from noon to 2:30 p.m.
William D. Holt
ELKMONT - Mr. William Dale ''Doc Holt, 93, died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Ogles and Don Osborne officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Holt was a member of the Pettusville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Taylor Holt.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce H. Mitchell of Elkmont and Madge H. Landers of Killen; one son, Harold T. Holt of Athens; two sisters, Effie Wright and Bessie Powers, both of Elkmont; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
Millard E. Jarmon
GUNTERSVILLE - Millard Eugene Jarmon, 79, of 4700 Gilley St. died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Brashers Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lois C. Jarmon; one son, Delbert Jarmon of Albertville; one sister, Jewell Thornton of Guntersville; three brothers, Leonard Jarmon of Arab, Leamon Jarmon of Guntersville and Lloyd Jarmon of Florida; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.
HAZEL GREEN - Bobby Kennedy Jr., 2, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Kelly Kennedy; his grandparents, Jimmy Price of Huntsville, John D. Kennedy and Donna Kennedy of Huntsville, Frank and Maria Payne of Huntsville and Jerry and Jeri Barnett of Madison.
Claude E. Knox
MADISON - Claude Edwin Knox, 73, died Tuesday at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Knox was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a World War II veteran of the Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Pat Tyler of Madison; two sons, Tim Knox and David Knox, both of Madison; three sisters, Rose Freeman of Decatur, Virginia Medley and Betty Hall, both of Huntsville; one brother, Henry Knox of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
R.B. Maynard
NEW MARKET - R.B. Maynard, 66, of Schoolhouse Road died Thursday at his home. A memorial service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Mr. Maynard was a native of Madison County and was retired from Amana Refrigeration. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Amelia Josephine Maynard; one daughter, Angie Tucker of Ardmore; one son, Michael Dean Maynard of Taft, Tenn.; his father, Joe Raymond Maynard of New Market; four sisters, Gracie Mason and Beulah Mason, both of New Market, Marie Mason and Joyce Ann Jeans, both of Huntsville; three brothers, Bobby Joe Maynard, Selna Joe Maynard and James Levoyd Maynard, all of New Market; and two grandchildren.
Fred H. McGlocklin
ELKMONT - Mr. Fred Hugh McGlocklin, 82, of 24538 Easter Ferry Road died Friday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cartwright Church of Christ with Rev. Roger Jackson and Rev. Larry Adams officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. McGlocklin was a member of Cartwright Church of Christ.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shirley Clem of Elkmont and Sandra Stanley of Ardmore; four sisters, Ruth Tunstill and Rossie Glass, both of Athens, Lorene Campbell and Vera Malone, both of Elkmont; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Marshall McNairy
MABLETON, Ga. - Marshall Parmer McNairy, 71, died Thursday at an Atlanta hospital. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens with Bo Grace and James P. Adams officiating and Spry Funeral Home of Athens directing.
Mr. McNairy was employed by the state of Georgia.
Survivors include one sister, Edna Thornton of Athens; one half-sister, Ruby Tucker of Athens; and nieces and nephews.
Gary W. Rigdon
Mr. Gary William Rigdon, 61, of Huntsville died Thursday at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Valhalla Funeral Home.
Robert Strong Jr.
MADISON - Dr. Robert T. Strong Jr., 67, died Wednesday at his residence. A memorial service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Madison Christian Church with Rev. George Wagner officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Dr. Strong was a member of Madison Christian Church, a veteran of the Army serving in Korea and he retired from civil service in Fort McClellan. He received his doctorate in education from the University of Utah.
Survivors include his wife, Velma G. Strong; one daughter, Sharon Strong Sajjadi of Huntsville; two sons, Robin L. Strong of Wimberley, Texas, and Roger L. Strong of Richardson, Texas; two sisters, Wanda Rascoe of Shreveport, La., and Elizabeth Mann of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Horace L. Strong of Shreveport, La.; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Millard Wilbanks
Millard Wilbanks, 78, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Dr. Lee J. Hudson officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.
Mr. Wilbanks was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a World War II veteran and was formerly employed with Austin Shell service station.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Wilbanks; three daughters, Juanita Pettey of Connecticut, Patricia Bullington of Madison and Debra Demeree of Huntsville; three sons, Nathan Wilbanks, Phillip Wilbanks and David Wilbanks, all of Huntsville; two brothers, R.C. Wilbanks of Huntsville and Homer Wilbanks of Boaz; one sister, Nellie False of Louisiana; and eight grandchildren and two-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m.
George W. Wolfe
Mr. George W. Wolfe, 71, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Laughlin Service Chapel with Bro. James Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wolfe was World War II veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Topeka, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. Wolfe; two sons, Phillip Wolfe of Tucker, Ga., and Ned R. Wolfe of Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Julie Heisterkamp of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; one brother, Don J. Wilson of Mission, Texas; two sisters, Darleen Botkin of Lexington, Ky., and Erma Hoobler of St. Marys, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
