James O. Baker
James Ollie "Dick" Baker, 78, of 1707 Chester St. died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Flint River and Running Water Memorial Tabernacle with the Rev. Ross L. Payton officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Floarine Baker of Huntsville; three daughters, Georgia B. Holloway, Mattie P. Henderson and Carolyn Pearson, all of Huntsville; four sons, George E. Baker, Eddie L. Baker and Joe L. Baker, all of Huntsville, and Ollie D. Baker of Los Angeles; three sisters, Lillie Francis Green, Ada Pruitt and Florence Alexander, all of Huntsville; and 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Felicia A. Gardner
Felicia Arlette Gardner, 37, of 3511 Nathalee Ave. in Huntsville died recently in Birmingham. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John L. Herndon III officiating.
Burial will be in Gardner Cemetery in Blanche, Tenn., with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Miss Gardner was a 1979 J.O. Johnson High School graduate. She received a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and a masters degree from Western New England College in Massachusetts. She was a consultant for Brannon and Tully Consulting/Comforce Information Technologies Inc. and an instructor at Snead State Community College. She was a member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church, Alpha Kapa Alpha Sorority and Huntsville/Decatur Tuskegee Alumni Association.
Survivors include her mother, Thelma B. Gardner of Huntsville; her father and stepmother, Lloyd B. Gardner and Margaret Gardner, both of Huntsville; one sister, Denita Gardner Walker of Williamsville, N.Y.; two brothers, Carl G. Gardner of Fort Washington, Md., and Mathew C. Gardner of Huntsville; grandmother, Lorene Gardner of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and one niece, one nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

William D. Hayle Sr.
William David Hayle Sr., 72, of Huntsville died today at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hayle was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Survivors include two sons, William David Hayle Jr. and Joseph Gregory Hayle, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Doris Cothren of Paint Rock and Virginia Batey of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ronald Johnson
ARAB - Ronald Johnson, 61, of Arab died Monday in Huntsville. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in New Salem Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen Kelly, Rhonda Smith and Kim McNutt, all of Eva; one son, Kenny Johnson of Eva; one sister, Betty Carney of Arab; one brother, Bobby Johnson of Cullman; and five grandchildren.

Margaret Kist
GUNTERSVILLE - Margaret Kist, 84, died Tuesday in a Birmingham nursing home. A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Clear Spring Cemetery.
Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville is in charge of burial.
Dr. Kist was a retired chiropractor.
Survivors include two sons, Ross C. Kist III of Atlanta and Royal Kist of Birmingham; one sister, Louise Able of Michigan; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jimmie S. Lewis
Jimmie Sue Lewis, 91, of Huntsville died Monday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Greenville, Ala., with the Rev. Earl Crutchfield officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Lewis taught at Central School in Butler County. She worked in her familys business until retirement. She lived in Huntsville since 1985. She was also a member of Woodland Heights Methodist Church in Greenville.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Lewis of Huntsville, and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Louella M. Manis
Louella M. Manis, 71, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be today at 8:30 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tenn.
Mrs. Manis retired from K-Mart as a personnel manager and was a member of Huntsville Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Brooks of Huntsville; one sister, Jo Evelyn Sproles of Piney Flats, Tenn.; one brother, Johnny Miller of Bluff City, Tenn.; and one grandson.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilma McAlister
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Wilma Brown McMillin McAlister, 77, of 138 High Ave. died Monday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McAlister was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Hugh McMillin of Fayetteville; three daughters, Ann Smith and Card Jean, both of Fayetteville, and Janie Quick of Manchester, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

James M. Nelms
DAWSON - James Mitchell "J.M." Nelms, 87, died Monday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Morgan Graham officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Nelms was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Tempie Nelms.
Survivors include three sons, J.L. "Red" Nelms, Wyman Nelms and Gary Nelms, all of Dawson; four sisters, Cleo King, Irene Chambers and Lois Edison, all of Gadsden, and Lillian Rucks of Dawson; one brother, Maurice Nelms of Dawson; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

William S. Patterson
WOODVILLE - William Sherman Patterson, 77, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with George Robinson officiating.
Burial was to be in Union Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Glennis Hodges Patterson; one daughter, Ruth Womack of Woodville; two sons, Randy Patterson of Powder Springs, Ga., and Arnold Patterson of Danville, Ala.; two brothers, Ralph Patterson of Dublin, Ga., and Archie Patterson of San Antonio, Texas; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Union Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 26, Woodville, 35776.

Estelle Quillman
HAZEL GREEN - Estelle Quillman, 94, died Thursday in Tennessee. The graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Pendergraft officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Weaver of Huntsville; one brother, William T. Sloan of Huntsville; and four nieces and four nephews.

Dollie Tanner
GUNTERSVILLE - Dollie Tanner, 74, of 6104 Spring Creek Drive died Monday in a Huntsville hospital. A graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Crestview Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lazaroff of North Carolina; one son, Terry Tanner of Langston; and one grandchild.

Dale O. Walker
Dale Oscar Walker, 73, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bro. Aubrey Johnson officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Walker was a Navy veteran who served on the USS Colorado during World War II. He was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge No. 1350 and Shriners of Texas. He retired from Corpus Christi Fire Department in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Wayne Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Ann J. Walker of Huntsville; one sister, Carolyn Ann Finley of Charleston, S.C.; five brothers, Joe Lee Walker, Edward Walker, Ralph W. Walker, Charles Walker and Chester Walker, all of Corpus Christi; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the cemetery one hour before the funeral.
