TONEY - Bryan Edward Alviso, 26, of 20289 Lasso Circle died Monday in Athens. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens with Dr. Tim Driggers officiating.

Burial was to be in Limestone Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mollie Alviso; one son, Allen Alviso of Athens; his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Richard Marriner of Toney; his father and stepmother, Edward Jr. and Jerrie Alviso of Liberty, Mo.; his grandparents, Edward Alviso Sr. of Columbia, Mo., Micaela Wilson of Vinemont, Jean Bell of Athens and Tom Sutton of Goldsboro, N.C.; one step-grandmother, Carol Sutton of Goldsboro; and one great-grandmother, Irene Sutton of Athens.

Debbie Anderson

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Debbie Anderson, 36, formerly of Huntsville, died Saturday in New Castle. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Miss Anderson, a native of Omaha, Neb., attended Huntsville High School before moving to New Castle in 1986.

Survivors include her parents, Johnny and Linda Carden of Huntsville; three sisters, Cathy Lynn Brown, Johnnie Lynn Carden and Gwen Carden Stockton, all of Huntsville; and a great-grandmother, Ethel S. Carden of Huntsville.

Dan Atkinson

MADISON - Dan "Big D" Atkinson, 65, died today at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements and will be in charge of burial.

Mr. Atkinson was a member of Madison United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Atkinson of Madison; three daughters, Lou Ann Funderburg of Madison, Mary Lou Smith of Rogersville and Melinda Mowdy of Orangeburg, S.C.; two sons, Sonny Atkinson and Thomas Atkinson, both of Madison; a brother, John Paul Atkinson of Madison; a sister, Nancy Vital of Huntsville; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Timothy Wayne Bertus

Timothy Wayne "Tim" Bertus, 34, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Tate and Chaplain Ervin Banta officiating.

Burial will be in Bonnertown Cemetery in Bonnertown, Tenn. at 2 p.m. Friday.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Bertus of Huntsville; his mother, Marie Lightsinger of Huntsville; his father, Charles Bertus of Huntsville; a stepmother, Janie Bertus of Huntsville; a brother, Mike Bertus of New Market; a sister, Donna Kay Bertus of Huntsville; a stepson, Christopher Brady of Hazel Green ; a stepdaughter, Christy Barnes of Ardmore, Ala.; a stepbrother, Anthony Howard of Huntsville; two stepsisters, Cindi Gaught and Marja Fowler, both of Huntsville; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bertus of Huntsville; and four step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Spegiel M. Burke

ALBERTVILLE - Spegiel Murdock Burke, 79, formerly of Grove Oak, died Thursday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville.

Burial will be in Green s Chapel Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Burke of Albertville; three daughters, Betty Ann Antonidis and Judy Faye Burnett, both of Houston, Texas, and Paulette Esco of Birmingham; a son, Don Burke of Albertville; a sister, Jessie Britton of Albertville; a brother, Woodrow Burke of Anniston; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flora Mae Fowler

BOAZ - Flora Mae Fowler, 83, of 7708 Alabama 179 died Tuesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.

Burial was to be in Red Apple Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Willene Mayes of Grove Oak, Virginia R. Decker of Florida and Frances Stanfield of Boaz; three sisters, Louise Butler of Florida and Estelle Duke and Nola J. Hallmark, both of Boaz; six brothers, Marvin Leatherwood and Travis Leatherwood, both of Georgia, Orville Leatherwood and Olen Leatherwood, both of Florida, Joe Leatherwood of New Jersey and Rev. J.W. Leatherwood of Boaz; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

James A. Hall

DECHERD, Tenn. - James Albert Hall, 78, of 603 Broad St. died Wednesday at a Tennessee hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Watson-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with Dale Andrews and Gary Gass officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Garner Cemetery with Watson-Gamble Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Florence S. Benson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hall of Winchester, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Fannie Sweeney Hall of Winston-Salem, N.C., Billie Holland of Decherd, Tenn., and Martha S. Laverine of Mesa, Az.; two sisters, Flora Bell Hall Drawdy of Great Falls, S.C., and Bessie H. Stroud of Rock Hill, S.C.; and five step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was to be today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joseph LaDavia Jr.

RAINSVILLE - Joseph LaDavia Jr., 63, died Tuesday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Kirk Memorial Gardens in Rainsville.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Kay LaDavia; three daughters, Mary Jo Simmons, Judy King and Amanda Phillips, all of Rainsville; one son, Richard Glenn LaDavia of Fort Payne; his mother, Josephine Westerberg of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, John LaDavia of Jacksonville; one stepsister, Darlene Sullivan of Wichita, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation was to be today at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Melba J. Ledbetter

Melba Joyce Ledbetter, 78, of Huntsville died May 13 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be today at 7 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Bostick officiating.

Mrs. Ledbetter was a native of Texas and a Huntsville resident for 42 years.

Survivors include one son, Scott Hall ''Scooter Ledbetter of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawrence E. Metcalf

CUMMING, Ga. - Lawrence E. Metcalf, 79, died Wednesday in Cumming. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tenn., with the Rev. Aubrey Knois officiating.

Mr. Metcalf, a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., was a retired U.S. government employee.

Survivors include five sisters, Jessie Metcalf of Petersburg, Tenn., Sarah Parrish of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Rose Nell, Lucille Price and Ernesteen Young, all of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and his companion and friend, Inez Quirouet of Cumming, Ga.

Visitation was to be today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eva M. Roach

HENAGAR - Mrs. Eva Mae Roach, 86, died Tuesday at a Scottsboro hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Matt Kilgore officiating.

Burial was in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Roach.

Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Creswell of Henagar; one son, Charles Roach of Rossville, Ga.; two sisters, Kate Donaghy of Henagar and Daisy Slade of Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, Paul Greeson of Henagar and J.A. Greeson and Glenn Greeson, both of Chattanooga; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Katlyn N. Satterfield

MERIDIANVILLE - Katlyn Nicole Satterfield, 4 months old, of Patterson Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at graveside with Sammy Riggins and the Revs. Benny Berry and Gary Solberg officiating.

Burial will be in Bevills Chapel Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green in charge.

Survivors include her parents, Jason and Carla Solberg Satterfield of Meridianville; a sister, Elizabeth Alanis Satterfield of Meridianville; her grandparents, Daryl Satterfield of Hazel Green, Cindy Smith of Harvest and Gary and Barbara Solberg of New Market; and her great-grandparents, Aaron Satterfield and Elizabeth Seals, both of Hazel Green, and Virginia and Nolan Smith of Meridianville.

Visitation was to be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leldon M. Thompson

ANDERSON - Leldon Maurice Thompson, 72, of 25810 County Line Road died Tuesday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Brothers Jessie Littrell and Randy Carter officiating.

Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Thompson was a member and deacon at Cherry Grove Baptist Church. He was an adult Sunday school teacher, a Gideon and a Korean War veteran. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant and retired from NASA in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Marvalyn Louise Thompson of Anderson; two daughters, Beth Rickard of Rogersville and Melinda Thompson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Maurice Thompson of Florette and Tim Thompson of Anderson; two sisters, Mary Lou Schrader of Decatur and Joyce Freeney of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, Albert D. Thompson of Falkville; and six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gideons.

Edna F. Tumlin

IDER - Mrs. Edna Faye Tumlin, 60, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Bud Durham officiating.

Burial was to be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Tumlin was preceded in death by her husband, M.A. Tumlin, and one son, Greg Whitton.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Wooten of Henagar and Gail Varnes of Anderson, S.C.; one son, Michael Levon Whitton of Henagar; one stepson, Mike Tumlin of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; four sisters, Ina Mae Freeman of Pisgah, Glenda Farry of California and Pauline Rhinhart and Helen Durham, both of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; four brothers, Red Liles of Rossville, Ga., Esmon Liles of Pisgah and Charles Liles and Bobby Liles, both of Henagar; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Norma C. Wells

BOAZ - Norma Christine Wells, 64, of 711 Idlewild St., died Monday in a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was Wednesday at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial was in Beulah Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Martin of Guntersville; two sisters, Margie Mount of Blountsville and Jimmie L. Wade of Hokes Bluff; one stepsister, Joyce Webb of Albertville; one brother, William Wynn of Douglas; and three grandchildren.

Bethel M. Wilborn

HAMMOND, Ind. - Bethel M. "Beth" Wilborn, 65, died Friday in Harvey, Ill. hospital. The funeral will be Friday at noon at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Oliver officiating.

Burial will be Maxwell Cemetery in Belvidere, Tenn.

Mrs. Wilborn was a native of New Market.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Wilborn of Hammond, Ind.; two daughters, Barbara Sotak of Merriville, Ind., and Janice Bochucinski of Griffith, Ind.; a son, Henry Harvey of Portage, Ind.; her mother, Pearlie Mae Oliver of New Market, Ala.; five sisters, Frances Young, Emileen Pickett, Sophie Knotts and Joyce Bates, all of New Market, and Faye Conners of Mississippi; four brothers, Buddy Oliver, Bill Oliver and A.C. Oliver, all of New Market, and Joe Oliver of Fort Smith, Ark.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillie Mae Wilbourne

TONEY - Lillie Mae Wilbourne, 84, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Kirk officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Plevna with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was to be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
