Lena M. Aldrup
Lena Mary Aldrup, 93, of 717 Lily Flagg Road in Huntsville died Tuesday in Jacksonville, Ala. A private graveside service was held Wednesday at Green lawn Memorial Gardens.
K.L. Brown Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
She was a native of Ohio and had lived in Jacksonville most of her retired life. She was executive director of Cottoquilla Council of Girl Scouts for many years and was an active member of First Prebyterian Church in Jacksonville. She tutored senior citizens and was a published poet and graduate of the University of Hawaii, where she later taught. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Col. Earl W. Aldrup Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Anne Aldrup Cummings of Jacksonville; one son, Lt. Col. Earl William Aldrup Jr. of Huntsville; one sister, Dora Wyness of Clinton, Iowa; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Cottoquilla Council of Girl Scouts.

Johnnie M. Brandon
Johnnie Mae Brandon, 53, of 3007 Love Drive died Sunday at her home. The funeral was today at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem P.B. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Sandifer officiating.
Burial will be in Quarter Lot Cemetery in Green brier with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Adell Brandon of Huntsville; one son, William Thomas Brandon of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Tiawonda Brandon of Huntsville; five sisters, Mattie Lue Weeden, Mary Wilson, Ida Mae Hobbs and Elnora Sandifer, all of Huntsville, and Martha McKinney of Green brier; one brother, John Sandifer of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.

Hugh M. Campbell Jr.
Hugh M. Campbell Jr., 63, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Latham United Methodist Church with Bros. Gary Ward and Grad Tanner officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home South in charge.
Mr. Campbell retired from NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hawk Campbell of Huntsville; one son, Hugh Campbell III of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Nancy C. Anderson of Atlanta and Jennifer C. Dawson of Scottsboro; his mother, Nancy Stephens Campbell of Huntsville; one brother, James S. Campbell of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Linda Ayers and Ann Meadors, both of Heflin; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Latham United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.

Alma Collins
BELLE MINA - Alma Collins, 79, of 7467 Fennel Road died Wednesday at a Decatur Hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Collins was a member of Belmor Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Collins of Belle Mina; one son, David Alfred Collins of Belle Mina; two daughters, Deloris Long of Madison and Judy Stephens of Decatur; four sisters, Velma Crabtree and Pearlie Pack, both of Ardmore, Ala., and Mable Usery and Ethel Usery, both of Athens; and 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Erma W. Cousins
Erma Ward Cousins, 98, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Mother Kerry Holder officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Cousins was a longtime resident of Portsmouth, Va., and moved to Huntsville in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank George Cousins; and one son, Frank George Cousins Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Cousins Cobun of Huntsville; two grandchildren, Camden Peter Cobun of Huntsville and Frank George Cousins III of Oak Harbor, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Episcopal Church of the Nativity.

Joseph O. Draper
Joseph OBrien Draper, 20, of 4210 Scottsdale Place died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at noon at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with Pastor Daniel Richardson officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Lois Walker of Huntsville and Calvin Draper of Madison; four brothers, George Alexander III, Anthony Draper and Michael Draper, all of Huntsville, and Shawn Draper of Tuscaloosa; one stepbrother, Trevino Harris of Madison; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Jolly Jr. of Huntsville.

Martha M. Harwell
Martha M. Harwell, 78, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

George A. Heller Jr.
George A. Heller Jr., 69, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. No funeral is planned. Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service from 7 to 8 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South. The Rev. Phil OKennedy will officiate.
Mr. Heller retired from the military.
Survivors include his wife, Inge A. Heller of Huntsville; one son, Steven A. Heller of Springfield, Va.; one daughter, Debra A. New of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Floyd E. "Tut" Fann Veterans Home.

Jewel B. Helms
Jewel Bean Helms, 84, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel in Hartselle.
Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Helms was a member of Cotaw Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Helms.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Helms of Huntsville and Larry Helms of Center Star; one daughter, Sue Jernigan of Huntsville; two brothers, Bill Bean of Texas and Chester Bean of Florida; and seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Laura V. Kimbrough
Laura V. Kimbrough, 76, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. Madison Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery in Big Cove.
Mrs. Kimbrough was a member of Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Kimbrough of Huntsville; two sons, John Ed Kimbrough of Gurley and Jimmy Kimbrough of Huntsville; five brothers, Ted Dudley, Paul Bud Maples, Albert Al Maples and Charles Maples, all of Big Cove, and David Maples of Brownsboro; five sisters, Gertrude Welker of Brownsboro, Mildred De Armand of Grant, Jean Moon of Owens Cross Roads, Ruth Lang of Huntsville and Bernie Dewart of New Hope.

James S. Leder Sr.
James S. Leder Sr., 72, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Pastor John Thweatt officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Leder was a retired missile instructor at Redstone Arsenal and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Leder.
Survivors include one son, James Leder Jr. of Huntsville; two daughter, Linda Brown of Macon, Ga., and Ellen Taylor of Huntsville; one sister, Annie Boledovic of Bridgeport, Conn.; and six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was to be today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

George M. Minor
ALBERTVILLE - George Milbern Minor, 81, of 1257 Lane Switch Road died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was Wednesday at Brashers Chapel Methodist Church.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Minor; five daughters, Glenda Woods and Marie Pell, both of Albertville, Diana Sampson and Tammy Dunn, both of Guntersville, and Jeanne Johnson of Vinemont; three sons, John R. Minor, Gary Minor and Rickey Minor, all of Albertville; four sisters, Betty Brown and Sybil Smith, both of Albertville, Pearl Ham of Boaz and Dorothy Lee of New Jersey; one brother, J.W. Minor of Albertville; and 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Paul W. Nix
TULLAHOMA, Tenn. - Paul Wilson Nix, 86, died Tuesday at a Murfreesboro, Tenn., hospital. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. David Wall officiating.
Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Tenn., in charge.
Mr. Nix was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a retired farmer and was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Reynolds Nix.
Survivors include five sons, James W. Nix and Charles Michael Nix, both of Tullahoma, William P. Nix of Unionville, Tenn., Thomas H. Nix of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Robert Glenn Nix of Decherd, Tenn.; two daughters, Sarah Pauline Dortch of Murfreesboro and Shirley Jane Davenport of Tullahoma; two sisters, Catherine Forrester of Fayetteville and Ruth Dickey of Kelso, Tenn.; and 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Effie L. Payne
Effie Lena "Mimi" Payne, 79, of Huntsville died Wednesday in Huntsville. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home chapel in McKinney, Texas, with the Rev. Don Bourland officiating.
Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
She was a native of Princeton, Texas, and a member of Wall-Highway Baptist Church in Madison. She retired as a production supervisor at Texas Instruments in Dallas.
Survivors include one son, Michael W. Payne of Huntsville; one sister, Pat Huber of McKinney; one brother, James Stout of Cross Plains, Texas; and two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gaynell H. Reel
SYLVANIA - Gaynell Heard Reel, 45, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Anderton and Bro. Leon Davis officiating.
Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery.
Mrs. Reel was a member of Baughs Chapel Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Reel of Sylvania; one daughter, Sherry Reel Pike of Fort Payne; one son, Jerry Reel of Fort Payne; two sisters, Vera Dot Dyare and Duma Silvers, both of Dalton, Ga.; eight brothers, El Heard, Wayne Heard and Melvin Heard, all of Pisgah, Earl Heard, Billy Heard and Dale Heard, all of Sylvania, Don Heard of Georgia and Larry Heard of Ider; grandmother, Liamand Frances Heard of Rosalie; and four grandchildren.

Charles H. Sarver
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Charles H. Sarver, 85, of 67 West Prospect Drive died Tuesday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Hickman officiating.
Mr. Sarver was a native of Giles County, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife, Louise McCollum Sarver of Fayetteville; three daughters, Anita Johnson of Fayetteville, Debbie Kee of Shelbyville and Pat Sarver of Flintville; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Letha M. Smith
FLAT ROCK - Letha Myrtle Smith, 86, died Tuesday at a Chattanooga hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Jimmy Higdon officiating.
Burial will be in Caperton Chapel Cemetery in Flat Rock.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Smith; and two sons, James Smith and Eddie Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Doris Chisenhall of Stevenson, Faye Farmer of Merrit Island, Fla., and Idalene Bailey and Catherine Holt, both of Flat Rock; two sons, Claude Smith of Bridgeport and Cleve Smith of Flat Rock; one sister, Gilberta Hill of Illinois; one brother, Byron Ingram of South Carolina; and 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Adalaide Stevens
CENTERVILLE, Ohio - Adalaide Stevens, 84, of 8084 Station House Road died Friday in Centerville. The graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Kelso Cemetery in Kelso, Tenn., with the Rev. Jay Archer officiating.
Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Stevens was a native of Nashville and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Polly S. Fields of Sault St. Marie, Mich.; one son, Frank Stevens of Centerville; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
