Lena M. Aldrup
Lena Mary Aldrup, 93, of 717 Lily Flagg Road died Tuesday in Jacksonville, Ala. A private graveside service was held Wednesday at Green lawn Memorial Gardens.
K.L. Brown Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
She was a native of Ohio and had lived in Jacksonville most of her retired life. She was executive director of Cottoquilla Council of Girl Scouts for many years and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. She tutored senior citizens and was a published poet and graduate of the University of Hawaii, where she later taught. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Col. Earl W. Aldrup Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Anne Aldrup Cummings of Jacksonville; one son, Lt. Col. Earl William Aldrup Jr. of Huntsville; one sister, Dora Wyness of Clinton, Iowa; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Baird
GERALDINE - Ruth Elnora Stanfield Baird, 77, of Geraldine died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gene Lambert and the Rev. Bobby Darnell officiating.
Burial will be in Geraldine Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Kittle of Geraldine; two sons, Ray Baird of Rainsville and Randall Baird of Attalla; and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Johnnie M. Brandon
Johnnie Mae Brandon, 53, of 3007 Love Drive died Sunday at her home. The funeral was Thursday at Bethlehem P.B. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Sandifer officiating.
Burial will be in Quarter Lot Cemetery in Green brier with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Adell Brandon of Huntsville; one son, William Thomas Brandon of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Tiawonda Brandon of Huntsville; five sisters, Mattie Lue Weeden, Mary Wilson, Ida Mae Hobbs and Elnora Sandifer, all of Huntsville, and Martha McKinney of Green brier; one brother, John Sandifer of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.
Dennis Briscoe
FALKVILLE - Dennis ''Whick Briscoe, 71, of 1899 Highway 55 East died Thursday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Reed officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three sisters, Drucillar Light of Morgan City, Dorothy Crago of Cullman and Marie Helms of Falkville; and one brother, Leon Briscoe of Cullman.
Donzell Brown
Donzell Brown, 48, of 3004 Tucker Drive in Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor O. Wendell Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Harvest with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Brown was an Army veteran and worked at Parker Hannifin Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brown of Huntsville; two sons, Andre Deon Brown and Phillip Jamel Brown, both of Huntsville; his mother, Edna Brown of Harvest; and four sisters, Carolyn Bone of Gurley, Joyce Griffin of Harvest and Linda Smith and Betty Brown, both of Madison.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Erma W. Cousins
Erma Ward Cousins, 98, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Mother Kerry Holder officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Cousins was a longtime resident of Portsmouth, Va., and moved to Huntsville in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank George Cousins; and one son, Frank George Cousins Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Cousins Cobun of Huntsville; two grandchildren, Camden Peter Cobun of Huntsville and Frank George Cousins III of Oak Harbor, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren.

Adell E. Crews
GROVE OAK - Adell Eugenia Crews, 80, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at One Faith In All Church with Sis. Jeanett Hickson and Bro. Odell Sawyer officiating.
Burial will be in Kirk Memorial Garden with W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in Rainsville in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Millard Crews of Grove Oak; two daughters, Linda Merlene White of Geraldine and Lilian Marie Evans of Crossville; one son, Arnold Dewitt Miller of Hot Springs; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lucille V. Crowell
Lucille Virginia Crowell, 77, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Old Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Crowell was a native of Morgan County and had lived in Madison County 59 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy E. Hargrove of Huntsville; one son, Frank Crowell of Huntsville; three sisters, Bobbie White of Arab, Jean Baron and Eva Wynn, both of Jamestown, N.Y.; four brothers, James Haga, Herschell Haga and Clarence Haga, all of Arab, and Dewitt Haga of Laceys Spring; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Ada L. Dutton
HARTSELLE - Ada Landers Dutton, 91, of 1901 Pinehurst St. died Thursday at an area hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Dutton was a member of First Baptist Church, a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Dutton.
Survivors include one sister, Mabel Tanner of Hartselle; and two brothers, Lewis Landers of Trinity and Robert Landers of Athens.
Martha M. Harwell
Martha McCracken Harwell, 78, of Macon Drive in Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Harwell was a native of Athens and had lived in Fayetteville, Tenn. She lived in Huntsville the past 25 years. Her husband was an engineer at the U.S. Army Missile Command.
Survivors include her husband, E. Brown Harwell Jr. of Huntsville; two sons, Roger D. Harwell of Athens and Gary W. Harwell of Pulaski, Tenn.; and two grandsons, two granddaughters and three step-grandsons.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

John H. Hawks
John Henry Hawks, 80, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Sykes officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerta Hewlett Hawks of Huntsville; and one stepdaughter, Cheryland Hewlett of Buffalo, N.Y.
Jewel B. Helms
Jewel Bean Helms, 84, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel in Hartselle.
Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Helms was a member of Cotaw Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Helms.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Helms of Huntsville and Larry Helms of Center Star; one daughter, Sue Jernigan of Huntsville; two brothers, Bill Bean of Texas and Chester Bean of Florida; and seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Albertine Johnston
LACEYS SPRING - Albertine Johnston, 74, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Twickenham Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one son, Paul Anthony Johnston of Laceys Spring; two daughters, Roberta Johnston Mills of Huntsville and Holly Danielle Johnston of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; one sister, LaVonne Henrickson of Rapid City, S.D.
Laura V. Kimbrough
Laura V. Kimbrough, 76, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Huntsville Holiness Church with the Rev. David Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery in Big Cove.
Mrs. Kimbrough was a member of Huntsville Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Kimbrough of Huntsville; two sons, John Ed Kimbrough of Gurley and Jimmy Kimbrough of Huntsville; five brothers, Ted Dudley, Paul Bud Maples, Albert Al Maples and Charles Maples, all of Big Cove, and David Maples of Brownsboro; five sisters, Gertrude Welker of Brownsboro, Mildred De Armand of Grant, Jean Moon of Owens Cross Roads, Ruth Lang of Huntsville and Bernie Dewart of New Hope.
Her body will be at the church two hours before the funeral.
Jane H. Law
BIRMINGHAM - Jane H. Law died Thursday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Mel Strain officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one brother, Henry Hoyt Harris of Huntsville; three nieces, Lynn H. Ayer of Dalton, Ga., and Anne H. Tincher and Jan H. Howard, both of Huntsville; and one cousin.

Annie P. McBay
SCOTTSBORO - Annie Pearl ''Pearlie Mae McBay, 82, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Venable officiating.
Burial was to be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. McBay was employed at Holiday Inn in Scottsboro for several years.
Survivors include one daughter, Gaynell Wallingsford of Scottsboro; one son, Rayford Evans of Scottsboro; two brothers, Jake Smith and Alfred Smith, both of Scottsboro; and 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Donald R. Monk
MADISON - Donald Ray Monk, 61, died today. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Monsignor Michael Sexton officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Monk retired from the Army as a first sergeant after 21 years of service. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars and worked with the Federal Aviation Administration for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Anneliese L. Monk; one daughter, Rebecca A. Sims; one son, Donald R. Monk; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Woodard R. Morris Jr.
TONEY - Woodard R. Morris Jr., 73, of Morris Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1:30 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. William Suddarth officiating.
Burial will be in Charity Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was a native of Madison County, a retired truck driver and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Neeley Morris of Toney; one daughter, Judy Morris of Toney; one son, Stanley Morris of Toney; one sister, Ruby Morris McCombs of Birmingham; five brothers, Lester Morris, Buford Morris, John Morris, Orville Morris and Thomas Morris, all of Toney; and one grandddaughter of Toney.
Lois Morrison
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Lois Morrison, 80, of 352 Molino Road died Thursday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Bro. Bert Watkins officiating.
She was a native of Lincoln County, a homemaker, a farmer and a member of Liberty Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Morrison of Fayetteville and Virginia Storey of Vann Town, Tenn.; and one brother, Claiborne Morrison of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles H. Sarver
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Charles H. Sarver, 85, of 67 West Prospect Drive died Tuesday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Hickman officiating.
Mr. Sarver was a native of Giles County, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife, Louise McCollum Sarver of Fayetteville; three daughters, Anita Johnson of Fayetteville, Debbie Kee of Shelbyville and Pat Sarver of Flintville; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Adalaide Stevens
CENTERVILLE, Ohio - Adalaide Stevens, 84, of 8084 Station House Road died last Friday in Centerville. The graveside service was to be today at 1 p.m. at Kelso Cemetery in Kelso, Tenn., with the Rev. Jay Archer officiating.

Mrs. Stevens was a native of Nashville and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Polly S. Fields of Sault St. Marie, Mich.; one son, Frank Stevens of Centerville; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ruby L. Woodruff
ELKMONT - Ruby Lee Woodruff, 73, of 24432 Cedar Lane died Thursday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Rivermeade Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla.
Burial will be in Jacksonville Memorial Park.
She was co-owner of Guarantee Carpet Cleaning and Dyeing Co. in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Woodruff; and one daughter, Barbara Leautholt.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Adomyetz of Elkmont; two sisters, Euline Bryars of Mobile and Jean Branton of Highland, Calif.; five brothers, Eubie Byrd of Perdidio, Richard E. Byrd of Flomaton, Larry Byrd of Jacksonville, N.C., Bob Byrd of Cadero, Calif., and Jerry Byrd of Mountain Branch, Calif.; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
