Joe H. Bass
PULASKI, Tenn. - Joe H. Bass, 65, of Vales Mill Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Bennett-May Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Plummley officiating.
Burial will be in Giles Memory Garden.
Mr. Bass was a retired educator, real estate broker and auctioneer. He was also a deacon at First Baptist Church and a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Cathcart Bass of Pulaski; two sons, Barry Joe Bass and Tommy Keith Bass, both of Pulaski; two sisters, Alice Gooch of Pulaski and Faye Tate of Madison; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund in Pulaski, American Lupus Society or Henry Bass Scholarship Fund at Martin College.

Kathy S. Bohr
SCOTTSBORO - Ms. Kathy Sharp Bohr, 36, of Scottsboro died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral was Friday at Rudder Funeral Home.
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Sherlin of Section; one son, Ricky Joe Sherlin of Section; her mother, Opal Watson of Scottsboro; her stepfather, Ed Watson of Scottsboro; five sisters, Gladys Ekins of Hollywood, Sandra Kay Nelson, Joyce Southard, Margaret Southard and Bessie Steele, all of Scottsboro; and two brothers, Charlie Sharp of Dutton and Danny Watson of Scottsboro.

Loy Bowman
COLLINSVILLE - Loy Lamar Bowman, 42, of Collinsville died Thursday in a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia No. 2 Church with the Rev. Lewayne Levans and the Rev. Junior Croft officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville directing.
Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife, Peggy Bowman; a daughter, Janice Bowman of Gadsden; four stepsons, Larry Camp and Mathew Smith, both of Boaz, Robbie Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Crossville; his mother and stepfather, Betty Sue and Milford Daugherty of Geraldine; his sister, Peggy Harrell of Section; three brothers, Terry Bowman of Gadsden, Joe Bowman of Crossville and Johnny Bowman of Boaz; six grandchildren.

Sadie Brewton
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Sadie Brewton, 84, of 302 Mimosa Road died Friday in a Lincoln County nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Higgins Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
She was a native of Lincoln County, a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Bradburn of Dallas and Susan Upchurch of Fayetteville; a son, Samuel Brewton of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandsons.
Visitation is Sunday after 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clarence M. Brown
HENAGAR - Clarence Medford Brown, 83, of Henagar died Wednesday at a nursing home in Fort Payne. The funeral will be today at noon at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with Elder Ralph Heard officiating.
Burial will be in Fuller Cemetery in Ider.
Survivors include three daughters, Gail Bolt of Fort Payne, Connie Brown of Henagar and Tami Myers of Dutton; five sons, David L. Brown of Holly Pond, James Thomas Brown of Williamsburg, Va., Jimmy Brown of Dutton, Kelly Brown of Ider and Allan Brown of Skyline; four sisters, Irene Austin of Flat Rock, Drucilla Smith, Mona Sue Boydston and Martha Jo Shrader, all of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Iona Brown
BROWNTOWN - Mrs. Iona Brown, 73, of Browntown died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Pilgrim First Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Freddy Waldrop and Bill Lackey officiating.
Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Cothran of Centre and Phillis Brown Cole of Browntown; one son, Mack Brown of Browntown; one sister, Ondean Bailey of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; two brothers, Hoyt Butler and Doc Butler, both of Rossville, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.

Larry W. Congo
Larry Wayne Congo, 48, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. David Carpenter and the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Congo was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna H. Congo of Huntsville; one daughter, Jennifer Congo of Huntsville; two sons, Jamie Congo and Cale Congo, both of Huntsville; four sisters, Mildred Casteel of Hazel Green, Betty Ginn of New Hope, Patsy LeCroy of Brownsboro and Mary Powers of Katy, Texas; four brothers, Buddy Congo and Vernon Congo, both of Owens Cross Roads, Pete Congo of Toney and Billy Congo of Gurley; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 1:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Family Cares of Huntsville.

Dennis Corbin
ARAB - Dennis Corbin, 41, of 2300 Ruth Road, died Friday in a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Corbin; two daughters, Angela Corbin and Krystal Corbin, both of Arab; three sons, Jerry W. Vest of Guntersville, Chad Corbin of Hanceville and Sean Corbin of Arab; mother, Nola Mae Corbin of Arab; five sisters, Viola Glass of Birmingham, Leola Davis of Guntersville, Mary Smith and Martha Gullage, both of Arab, and Nellie Patrick of Cullman; five brothers, Sonny King of Arab, David Kying and Kenneth King, both of Union Grove, Harvey King of Michigan and Roy Corbin of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.

Margaret Farris
DECATUR - Margaret Adele Moore Farris, 85, died Thursday at an area nursing home. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle.
The graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at Corinth City Cemetery in Corinth, Miss.
Mrs. Ferris was formerly of Corinth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Martin Farris; and one son, Rodney Moore Farris.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Farris Webster of Hartselle and Sandra Ferris Curtis of Memphis; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Roberta Graham
JACKSON, Tenn. - Roberta Graham, 100, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church with Fathers William Parham, Albert Kirk and David Graham officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Iuka, Miss., with George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Graham was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Marys Catholic Church and was the oldest living graduate of St. Cecilia Academy in Nasvhille.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. William Hardin Graham of Huntsville and John D. Graham of Jackson; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Marys School Endowment Fund, 1665 Hwy 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.

Hellen S. Hancock
ANNISTON - Mrs. Hellen Stancil Hancock, 59, died Wednesday at her home. A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Rev. Ed Hepinstall officiating and Gray-Brown Service Mortuary in charge.
Mrs. Hancock was a former resident of Scottsboro. She was a member of McCoy United Methodist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Anniston.
Survivors include her husband, Harold "Happy" Hancock; two sons, Gary Hancock of Jacksonville and Kendall Hancock of Anniston; one daughter, Tracey Hancock Capstick of Alexandria, Va.; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Alabama.

John D. Mance
OWENS CROSS ROADS - John Daniel Mance, 49, of 522 Piney Woods Rd. died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie Sharp officiating.
Burial will be in Moon Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Novella Mance of Decatur; one sister, Edith Kilgore of Huntsville; two brothers, Clayton Mance of New Market and James Gordon Mance of Palm Bay, Fla.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ozella Maze
ARAB - Ozella Elizabeth Maze, 69, of 3730 Fry Gap Road died Thursday in a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Brashiers Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Knight of Arab; three sons, Ralph Maze and Neal Maze, both of Arab, and Darrell Maze of Boaz; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Veda R. Pierce
JACKSON, Mo. - Mrs. Veda R. Adams Pierce, 81, of Jackson, Mo., died Tuesday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Don Barnett officiating.
Burial will be in Henagar Community Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lusk of Jackson; one sister, Neva Tidwell of Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Chester Adams of Gadsden; and two grandchildren.

David H. Reese
SOMERVILLE - David H. Reese, 35, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby L. Reese of Somerville; two sons, Donald Ray Reese of Somerville and Larry Charles Reese of Oden Ridge; five sisters, Linda Griffith of Jasper, Gail McDonald of Eva, Judy Bonds of Falkville, Donna Maxwell and Joan Reese, both of Somerville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roberta Wells
Roberta Valeria Walker Wells, 81, of Huntsville died Tuesday in New Hope. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Wells was a native of Atlanta and was known for helping children with the newspaper route in the Willowbrook area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert B. "Hub" Wells.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie W. Coggin of Birmingham; two sons, William A. Wells of Alpharetta, Ga., and Edwin B. Wells of Dale City, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Lillian Wright
BOAZ - Lillian Lucile Snellgrove Wright, 95, of 515 East Mann Ave., died Thursday in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz directing.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Noel of Boaz; and two grandchildren.
