Eldrige B. Agnew
Eldrige Brown Agnew, 68, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Huntsville with the Rev. Richard L. Frees officiating.

Mr. Agnew, a native of Blount County, was a member of Central Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars post No. 2702.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Davidson of Bon Secur; three sons, William Lyman Agnew of Colorado Springs, Scott Alan Agnew of Huntsville and Dustin Jay Agnew of Gulf Shores; one sister, Martis Louise Whitcomb of Birmingham; and two brothers, James H. Agnew of Huntsville and Charles E. Agnew of Birmingham.

No visitation is planned.

Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Dan Atkinson
MADISON - Dan "Big D" Atkinson, 65, died Thursday at his home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Madison City Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrook officiating.

Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Atkinson was a member of Madison United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Atkinson of Madison; three daughters, Lou Ann Funderburg of Madison, Mary Lou Smith of Rogersville and Melinda Mowdy of Orangeburg, S.C.; two sons, Sonny Atkinson and Thomas Atkinson, both of Madison; one brother, John Paul Atkinson of Madison; one sister, Nancy Vital of Huntsville; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary Berryman
TOWN CREEK - Mary Magdalene Ryland Berryman, 75, died May 21 at a Marshall County hospital. The funeral was Saturday at Elgin Methodist Church.

Burial was in Happy Valley Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing local arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Berryman; two daughters, Carlotta Osborn of the South Pacific and Sheila Powell of Boaz; four sisters, Bernice Pettis of Huntsville, Sue Garner and Savanah Ross, both of Anderson, and Mildred Berry of Florence; and four grandchildren.

Nathaniel Bradley
MADISON - Nathaniel "Nat" Bradley, 49 of 4214 Bilow Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at New Hope C.P. Church with the Rev. Terry Ragland officiating.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include one son, Dave Sales of Huntsville; his parents, Christine Bradley and Jimmie Bradley, both of Madison; two sisters, Glenda Bradley-Miller of Madison and Vera Bradley-Smith of Decatur; one brother, Jimmy Bradley Jr. of Decatur; his grandfather, Tom Rainey of Mooresville; and two grandchildren.

His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Willie B. Craighead
Willie B. Craighead, 75, of 6122 Bateson St. in Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Saint Bartley P.B. Church with Dr. William T. Gladys officiating.

Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Craighead of Huntsville; three daughters, DeLois Loudd of Vancouver, Wash., and Mattie P. Jones and Doris A. Carter, both of Huntsville; three sons, Willie M. Craighead and James Craighead, both of Huntsville, and Henry L. Craighead of Houston; four sisters, Ira Lewis of Chattanooga and Beatrice Boone, Louise Jasper and Margaret Jasper, all of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Charles P. Duckett
ALBERTVILLE - Charles Preston Duckett, 63, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.

Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery in Guntersville.

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Mary Traynor Duckett; one daughter, Deborah Duckett of Louisiana; his mother, Onedia Duckett of Albertville; two stepdaughters, Julia Draps of France and Margaret Free of Maryland; and six stepsons, Peter Traynor and Thomas Traynor, both of Birmingham, James Traynor and Philip Traynor, both of Albertville, Paul Traynor of Huntsville and Gerard Traynor of Delaware.

Patricia C. Gillispie
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Patricia Christine Gillispie, 47, died Wednesday at a Jacksonville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Brothers Billy Summerford and Jimmy Summerford officiating.

Burial will be in New Cannon Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville in charge.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Ann Roebuck of Clanton; her mother, Erma Robbins of Rainsville; four sisters, Marie Ryan and Joyce Hickcox, both of Rainsville, and Omie Thigpen and Gaynell Robbins, both of Jacksonville; four brothers, Jimmy Robbins and Arnold Robbins, both of Rainsville, and Jerry Robbins and Ricky Robbins, both of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.

Louie L. League
ALBERTVILLE - Louie Leavert League, 70, of 5205 Rose Road died Wednesday at his home. A memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Harvest Church with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Jenkins of South Carolina; two sons, Rickey League and Mike League, both of Albertville; one brother, Davis League of Michigan; and six grandchildren.

LeAndrew Mosley
DECATUR - LeAndrew Mosley, 34, died Saturday at a Morgan County hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sharpley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Doris Baker officiating.

Burial will be in Minor Hill Cemetery in Flint with Sharpley Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Mosley.

Survivors include one sister, Clarice Mangrum of Decatur; one brother, Emitt Mosley of Detroit; one aunt, Mary Mosley of Flint; and one cousin, Mattie Sharpley.

Nancy A. Robinson
HARVEST - Nancy Ann Freeman Robinson, 47, of 201 Bumble Bee Drive died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Pentecostal House of Prayer in Decatur with Bishop A.C. Strong officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Memorial Gardens with Sharpley Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of Pentecostal House of Prayer in Decatur and the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Harvest.

Survivors include three daughters, Rosetta White and Gloria Freeman, both of Huntsville, and Jenatta Freeman of Memphis; two sons, Jeremiah Bailey of Huntsville and James Freeman of St. Claire; five sisters, Annie Ruth Freeman and Sally Fuqua, both of Huntsville, Perline Boykins and Elizabeth Pickett, both of Decatur, and Mildred Jean Crutcher of Courtland; three brothers, Willie Freeman of Huntsville, Sam Freeman of Hillsboro and John Henry Freeman of Courtland; and seven grandchildren.

George W. Rogers
George Washington Rogers, 64, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Saint James P.B. Church with the Rev. Maury Patton officiating.

Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Fearn Rogers of Huntsville; one son, James Ford of Huntsville; five daughters, Alice Ford, Neta Anderson, Charlotte Ford, Deborah Ford and Doris Ford, all of Huntsville; two sisters, Louise Cable and Melvinia Patton, both of Huntsville; one brother, John Rogers of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren.

His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Charles E. Smartt
Charles Edward "Charlie" Smartt Sr., 77, of 2800 Barbara Drive in Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon of Saint Bartley P.B. Church with the Rev. H. Wendell Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Deposit with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Fletcher, Florence Love and Mary Gibson, all of Huntsville; and three sons, John Smartt, Grant Smartt and Edd Smartt, all of Huntsville.

Frank L. Smith
Frank Lamont Smith, 12, of 3901 Sparkman Drive in Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Union Hill C.P Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.

Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his parents, Ava Smith and Frank Robinson, both of Huntsville; four brothers, Torianta Smith, Karandez Smith, Desmond McClendon and Devin McClendon, all of Huntsville; his grandparents, Louise Hammonds and Robert Jones, both of Huntsville, and Willie Vann Johnson of San Jose, Calif.; his great-grandmothers, Viola Walker, Ruth Humphery, Beulah Jones and Pauline Vaughn, all of Huntsville; and a great-great-grandmother, Victoria Stewart of Huntsville.

His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Samuel L. Stevenson
BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Samuel L. Steve Stevenson, 79, formerly of Huntsville died Sunday at a Bentonville nursing home. The funeral was Wednesday at the Callison-Lough Funeral Service chapel with Dean Bryce and Walton Hook officiating.

Burial was in Bentonville Cemetery with Callison-Lough Funeral Service in charge.

Mr. Stevenson lived in Huntsville until he joined the military. He served in the U.S. Navy during the World War II campaign in the Pacific. He moved to Bentonville in 1975. He retired from Wal-Mart in 1994 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bentonville. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Stevenson; and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Eddie Bob Stevenson of Bentonville; a daughter-in-law, Patty Stevenson of Tulsa; a granddaughter, Tracy Bigby of Tulsa; a great-grandson; and a cousin, Raymond R. Wilson of Huntsville.

Ronnie Strickland
Ronnie Strickland, 31, of 3175 No. 150 Clopton St. in Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Union Hill C.P. Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.

Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Strickland was a member of Madkins Chapel C.P. Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Strickland.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Strickland; four daughters, Ashley Strickland, Latisha Strickland, Jasmine Strickland and LaShawn Strickland, all of Huntsville; his father, William Love of Huntsville; four sisters, Penelope Strickland, Monica Strickland, Charmain Strickland and Demetricia Strickland, all of Huntsville; and two brothers, Bobby Strickland and Derrick Strickland, both of Huntsville.

Tiana C. Tall
Tiana Camille Tall, 8 months old, died Tuesday at her home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs officiating.

Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include her parents, Terri J. and Peter C. Tall of Huntsville; her grandparents, Johnnie B. and Lillie Johnson of Birmingham and Carolyn Brown and Charlie James, both of Birmingham; one sister, Terita Tall; and a twin brother, Tyler Tall of Huntsville.

Leah R. Washington
Leah R. Washington, 89, of 5477 Oakwood Road in Huntsville died Friday, May 22, at a local hospital. the funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Madkins Chapel C.P. Church with the Rev. Endia J. Scruggs officiating.

Burial will be in Collier Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include two sisters, Jettie Massey and Mattie Jefferson, both of Huntsville; and three brothers, Fred Robinson Jr., Elisha Robinson and Harris Robinson, all of Huntsville.

Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Jodie Williams
HARTSELLE - Jodie "Mama Jo" Williams, 94, died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Williams was an member and musician at First Missionary Baptist Church for many years until her health failed.

Survivors include a daughter, Oma Pearl Dorsey of Hartselle; three sons, Ralph Williams of Hartselle, Travis Williams of Decatur and Harry Williams of Las Angeles; and 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Agnes L. Woody
NEW HOPE - Agnes Lawson Woody of 5354 Main Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. New Hope Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
