Mae Blakemore
BROWNSBORO - Mae Ola Russell Blakemore, 92, died Friday. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Edd Hamlett officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial. Mrs. Blakemore retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1971. She was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Big Cove Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Blakemore.
Survivors include one son, Thomas D. Blakemore of Big Cove; one daughter, Marion Jo Peets of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Claudie Mae Hicks and Geraldine Haywood, both of Sylacauga; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Big Cove Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., or to a church of your choice.
Evelyn Claburn
ARAB - Evelyn Claburn, 79, of Arab died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Brookwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Claburn, and one sister, Myra Lee Ellenburg of Arab.
Mary E. Galloway
DUTTON - Mary Elizabeth Galloway, 83, died today at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with Bros. Edd Whitton and Harrell Skipper officiating.
Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Wretha Brown of Dutton and Dorothy Creason of Salisbury, N.C.; one son, Alvin Galloway Jr. of Dutton; and 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Susie M. Gaston
LESTER - Susie Marie Gaston, 87, died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Revs. Mark Johnson and Joe Quillen officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Gaston was a member of Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Gaston, and a daughter, Rachel G. Patterson.
Survivors include one son, David T. Gaston of Athens; one daughter, Mildred G. Thompson of Lester; two sisters, Eleanor Coggin of Lester and Lucille Tucker of Goodsprings, Tenn.; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
Ellia Henshaw
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Ellia Henshaw, 86, of Lake Mitchell Road died Sunday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 10 a.m. at Crystal Springs Church of God with the Rev. Carlos Beddingfield officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Henshaw was a native of Jackson County. He was a retired farmer and also a member of Crystal Springs Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Sally Henshaw of Flintville, and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Frank Hornbuckle, Sr.
Frank Glenn Hornbuckle, Sr., 73, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Tim Rice and Byron Laird officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hornbuckle was a native of Lauderdale County but a lifelong resident of Madison County. He retired from U.S. Army Missile Command and was a World War II veteran. He was also a member of the West Huntsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Hornbuckle of Huntsville; one daughter, Brenda Akers of Hartselle; three sons, Glenn Hornbuckle of Union, Mo., Joe Hornbuckle of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jonathan Hornbuckle of Huntsville; one stepson, Kerry Peck of Killen; his mother, Annie Hornbuckle of Florence; one brother, Ellis Hornbuckle of Florence; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James O. Jolley
GUNTERSVILLE - James Oliver Jolley, 63, of 3071 Pleasant Hill Road, died Sunday in a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Jolley; one daughter, Judy Keller of Tennessee; his mother, Etta Jolley of Guntersville; two brothers, Dale Jolley of Guntersville and David Jolley of Arab; and three grandchildren.
Johnnie L. Jordan
MADISON - Johnnie "John" Lee Jordan, 82, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at St. Mark P.B. Church with the Rev. John L. Clay officiating.
Entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Jordan was a native of Madison County and served as deacon of the St. Mark Primitive Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He retired from the J.C. Penney Co. and Teledyne Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia B. Jordan of Madison; two sons, John W. Jordan of Rockledge Fla., and Carlon E. Jordan of Richmond, Texas; one daughter, Vertricia J. Jefferson of Huntsville; three sisters, Ruth E. Jordan and Zema L. Jordan, both of Detroit, and Hattie L. Jordan of Nashville; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday fro 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mark P.B. Church Building Fund.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
William T. Kindred
SKYLINE - William T. ''Bill Kindred, 69, died Monday. A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Prince Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include six sisters, Edith Neely and Lucille Owens, both of Skyline, Anna Mae Hollis of Harvey, Ill., Lorene Laughlin of Section, Bonnie Jo Kindred of Fyffe and Peggy Kindred of Denton, Texas; and one brother, David Kindred of Florida.
Edith King
RAINSVILLE - Mrs. Edith King, 77, of Rainsville, died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Bryant officiating.
Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Pickering of Marion, Ind., Peggy K. Stephenson of Henagar and Ina Carlyle of Rainsville; two sons, Bobby King of Fyffe and Billy King of Trenton, Ga.; two sisters, Bertha Powell of Chattanooga and Bessie Bailey of Middleburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Ronald H. Lanford
TONEY - Ronald H. Lanford, 55, of Bentley Drive died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Earl Baker officiating.
Burial was to be in Plainview Cemetery.
Mr. Lanford was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Alexander Lanford of Toney; one son, Mike Lanford; his parents, Ray and Grace Lanford; one brother, Don Lanford; and two grandchildren.
Josie C. Langston
BELVIDERE, Tenn. - Josie Catherine Langston, 93, died Sunday at a Tennessee hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Gardner officiating.
Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery.
Mrs. Langston was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Langston, and a son, H.D. Langston.
Survivors include three daughters, Ozell Womack of Woodville, Ala., Lenora Gattis of Huntsville, Ala., and Jean Miller of Belvidere; two sons, Donald R. Langston and Donnie T. Langston, both of Winchester; one sister, Mildred Davis of Brownsboro, Ala.; three brothers, Sammie Lindsey and Grady Lindsey, both of Trenton, Ala., and Dwain Lindsey of Brownsboro; and 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Cecile W. Newton
DECATUR - Cecile Warner Newton, 80, died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Shelton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W.K. Stephenson officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Newton was a native of Mississippi and a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Autry Newton.
Survivors include one son, James Warner Newton of Safety Harbor, Fla.; three daughters, Ann Newton Slate and Judy Newton Hale, both of Decatur, and Ginger Newton Hailey of Tacoma, Wash.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James E. Nunn
James E. Nunn, 84, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Chapel with the Revs. Ed Hamlet and Edward S. Babcock Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Drake Nunn, a son, Marvin Nunn, and a daughter, Sylvia Nunn.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Nunn, Jimmy Nunn and David Nunn, all of Huntsville, and Curtis Nunn of Big Cove; three daughters, Marguerite Koontz of Huntsville, Linda Solmon of New Hope and Carol Culver of Crestwood, Ky.; three sisters, Virginia Castile and Jewell Evans, both of Huntsville, and Kathleen Rutland of Gurley; and 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mildred P.M. Reavis
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Mildred Pack Mills Reavis, 89, died Sunday at a local nursing home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bros. Byron Laird and Bert Watkins officiating.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Reavis was a former employee of Elk Cotton Mills and member of Northside Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Wayne L. Mills of Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Loyd V. Spain
WAYNESBORO, Tenn. - Loyd Vaughan Spain, 62, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. Austinville United Methodist Church with Wayne Cobb and the Rev. Dr. Dewayne McDuff officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Spain was a member of Austinville United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Spain of Waynesboro; three daughters, Rhonda Joy Calvert of Nesbitt, Miss., Elizabeth Ellen Cannon of Gardendale and Linda Adkins of Pinson; two sisters, Faye Compton and Margaret Skelton, both of Waynesboro; and seven grandchildren.

Alma R. Stovall
ATHENS - Alma Rose Stovall, 78, died Sunday at her home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Malcolm Andrews, Hiram Hutto and Phillip Owens officiating.
Burial was in be Dement Cemetery.
Mrs. Stovall was a member of Jackson Drive Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, H.B. Stovall of Athens; three daughters, Janice Tribble and Jo Ann Barksdale, both of Athens, and Christie Hill of Lexington; two sisters, Ora Lee Turner and Mildred Parham of Athens; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
