Lorene M. Bayer
MONTGOMERY - Lorene McCormick Bayer, 79, died Thursday. A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Henagar Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Wilks officiating and Kerby Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Bayer was preceded in death by her husband, John Bayer.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Nell C. Chambers
Nell Connally Chambers, 89, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local nursing home. A graveside service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Frank Dark officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Chambers.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Bragg of Huntsville; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

Dustin C. Faulk
ATHENS - Dustin Clint Faulk, 13, died Saturday at a local hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Joseph M. Gentry
Joseph Miller Gentry, 58, of Huntsville died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wifem Betty Gentry; one son, William Joseph Gentry of New Market; one brother, Franklin S. Gentry of Nashville, Tenn.; and one sister, Patricia Ann Ziehl of Vienna, Va.
Visitation will be today from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Martha E. Griffith
GUNTERSVILLE - Martha Elizabeth Griffith, 83, died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Henrietta Mason of Huntsville.

Fannie L. Holcomb
SCOTTSBORO - Fannie Louise Holcomb, 62, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Hess officiating.
Burial will be in Gross Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Jaimmie Faye Jones of Woodville and Bobbie Evans of Toney; one son, Buddy Holcomb of Scottsboro; her mother, Della Smith of Scottsboro; four sisters, Helen Jeffrey and Annie Gilliam, both of Woodville, and Mary Hastings and Margie Smith, both of Scottsboro; two brothers, Billy Ray Smith of Scottsboro and John Thomas Smith of Skyline; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Virginia B. Huckabee
Virginia Bishop Huckabee, 70, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be Monday at 6 p.m. at Mayfair Church of Christ with Gary Bradley officiating.
Mrs. Huckabee was a native of Walker County and had lived most of her life in Birmingham before moving to Huntsville in 1993. She was a member of Mayfair Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay Douyard of Huntsville; two sons, Barry Huckabee of Nashville, Tenn., and Eric Huckabee of Birmingham; three brothers, Jim Bishop of Scottsboro, and Orville Bishop and Charles Bishop, both of Birmingham; two sisters, Frances Dement of Pea Ridge and Barbara Beck of Beaumont, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church.
Donations may be made to American Lung Association or Hospice Family Care.

Billy D. Kidd
GURLEY - Infant Billy Don Kidd died Wednesday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Memory Gardens in Hampton Cove with Bro. Bill McPherson officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Chad and Clarissa Kidd; one brother, Anthony Tyler Kidd of Gurley; one sister, Melissa Danielle Kidd of Gurley; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McPerson, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kidd and Mr. and Mrs. Burt Webster.

Michael W. Kidd
GURLEY - Infant Michael Wayne Kidd died Wednesday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Memory Gardens in Hampton Cove with Bro. Bill McPherson officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Chad and Clarissa Kidd; one brother, Anthony Tyler Kidd of Gurley; one sister, Melissa Danielle Kidd of Gurley; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McPerson, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kidd and Mr. and Mrs. Burt Webster.

E.R. Knox
STEVENSON - Dr. E.R. Knox, 82, of Stevenson died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with Revs. Charles Hughes and Frank Harmon officiating.
Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
Dr. Knox was the former president of Northeast Alabama State Community College, a U.S. Navy chaplain during World War II and pastor of the Meridianville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Knox had also served as a principal at Bridgeport High School, Guntersville High School, Stevenson High School and Marion County High School in Jasper, Tenn. He had also been a football coach at Guntersville High School and Marion County High School.
Dr. Knox was a member of the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Stevenson Civic Club, the Bridgeport Lions Club and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Danner Knox; one brother, Allen Luckey Knox Jr. of Montgomery; one niece and four nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy C. Langford
GUNTERSVILLE - Dorothy Cornelia Langford, 74, of 1813 Forrest Drive died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Langford Jr.; one son, Charles A. Langford III of Guntersville; and four grandchildren.

Christy Maples
HARTSELLE - Christy "Sissy" Maples, 21, died Friday at her residence. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Doug Ripley and Rex Terry officiating.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Miss Maples was a member of the Decatur Baptist Church. She was a hostess and cashier at Perkins Restuarant in Price ville.
Survivors include her parents, Frankie and Brenda Maples; one brother, Jody Maples of Hartselle; her grandmothers, Frances Harber of Ardmore and Edith Maples of Hartselle.

Blanche A. Munyon
ATHENS - Blanche A. Munyon, 77, of 601 Elkton St. died Saturday at her residence. The funeral will be Monday at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Dunn officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Carathers of Athens and Vicki Collins of Barronette, Wis.; two sons, Terry Munyon of Athens and Ronald Munyon of Crete, Neb.; two sisters, Deloris Tennant of Gettysburg, S.D., and Gladys Bartels of Lead, S.D.; two brothers, Elmer Zuber of Gettysburg, S.D., and Orville Zuber of Fort Pierre, S.D.

John F. Segrest III
TAFT, Tenn. - John Fletcher Segrest III, 52, died Saturday at his residence. Laughlin Service
Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jackson Segrest; two sons, Justin Fletcher Segrest and Nolan Jackson Segrest, both of Taft; and his father, J.F. Segrest Jr. of Tuskegee.

Virginia P. Sheaff
Virginia Pearson Sheaff, 71, of Huntsville died Friday at her residence. A memorial service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Hal P. Oakley officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill., with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Sheaff was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni of Huntsville and member of the Huntsville Power Suadron Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Sheaff; one daughter, Sharon Sheaff Lovell of Birmingham; one brother, W.M. Pearson of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters and an aunt.
Donations may be made to Hospice Family Cares, 2225 Drake Ave. Suite 8, Huntsville, 35805 or to your favorite charity.

Donny M. Smith
SCOTTSBORO - Donny Marion Smith, 49, of Scottsboro died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Scottsboro Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Richard Jensen officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Mr. Smith was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Gulf wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Marie Brownfield of Scottsboro and Shawna Rene Sowell of Whitehouse, Tenn.; two sons, Donny Lynn Smith and James Marion Smith, both of Scottsboro; his mother, Naomi Jean Smith of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Sharon Green berg of Beaverton, Ore.; one brother, Mark Lynn Smith of Mesquite; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Zakia L. Toney
Infant Zakia Labrezia Toney of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delvin Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors includer her mother, Lagress Toney; her grandmothers, Betty Toney and Pam Small, both of Huntsville; and her grandfather, James Lockett of Huntsville.
