FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ellen Joy Browne, 78, died Monday at a local hospital. No funeral is planned.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Adcock of Fayetteville; one son, Arthur Browne of England; four sisters, Francis Haynes, Doreen Finch and Irene Kincaid, all of England, and Pat Moran of New Zealand; and four grandchildren.

Katherine Carroll
STEVENSON - Katherine ''Kitty Carroll, 88, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Revs. David Aldridge and Jimmy Garner officiating.
Burial was to be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann McCrary and Jayne Carroll, both of Stevenson; one son, David Carroll of Atlanta; two sisters, Frances Carroll of Stevenson and Lillian Click of Kimball, Tenn.; one brother, Dick Ballard of Stevenson; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

John W. Crawford
CULLMAN - John Welch Crawford, 62, of 1519 Rose St. died Tuesday in Rome, Ga. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Crawford; one daughter, Mary M. Lynn of Cullman; one son, Anthony Crawford of Cullman; three sisters, Jo Harvey, Iva Lang and Mervalene Ramos; one brother, Eddie Crawford; and four grandchildren.

Chester J. Durham
SKYLINE - Chester J. Durham, 81, died Wednesday at a veterans home in Huntsville. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Skyline Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Skyline Cemetery with Skyline Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Durham was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was formerly employed as a line worker at the Revere aluminum plant in Scottsboro.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Brown of Skyline and Lynn McTyre of Birmingham; one son, Scott Durham of Skyline; two sisters, Winnie Campbell of Boaz and Lorene Pace of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ardelia L. Goode
Ardelia Leslie Goode, 51, of 3930 Pulaski Pike died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Blackburn Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Booker Cemetery in Toney with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, James Goode of Harvest; two sons, Nathan Goode and Marez Goode, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Erline Miller of Huntsville and Ada Ayers of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hoyt D. Hall
RAINSVILLE - Hoyt David Hall, 68, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Pisgah with the Revs. Clyde Chambers and Roger Haney officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Hall was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lee Dale Martin of Rainsville; three sons, Kenneth David Hall Sr. of Pisgah; Donald Gerald Hall of Dutton and Quinton Hall of Henagar; three sisters, Alma Clark of Chickamauga, Ga., Beulah Drain of Crossville and Lessie McWhorter of Lafayette, Ga.; one brother, Walter Hall of Jasper, Tenn.; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Emma J. Harbin
HOLLY POND - Emma Jane Harbin, 99, of 882 County Road 1755 died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Olene Hughes of Holly Pond, Florence Chandler of Albertville, Billie J. Kenney of Arab and Betty F. Howell of Georgia; two sons, Burlin Harbin of Holly Pond and Dalcom Harbin of Arab; two sisters, Goldie Haynes of Arkansas and Clara Edwards of Florida; and 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lloyd H. Hardgrave
Lloyd Harlow Hardgrave, 84, of Green Street died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Madison Cross Roads Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Jones Hardgrave of Toney; three sons, Ronald N. Hardgrave of Greenville, S.C., Steven Jones Hardgrave of Germantown, Tenn., and Jeff Hardgrave of Rogersville; two daughters, Deborah H. Robinson of Ashland City, Tenn., and Susie H. Garvin of Toney; three brothers, Michael Hardgrave of Washington D.C., Howard Hardgrave of Memphis, Tenn., and Robert E. Hardgrave of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Lucille Holmes and Ruth H. Redd, both of Little Rock; and eight grandchildren.

Ora Hunt
BOAZ - Ora Drucilla Wright Hunt, 93, of 1403 N. Main St. died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hunt.
Survivors include one daughter, Drucilla Almond of Decatur; two sons, Joe W. Hunt of Boaz and the Rev. Bob W. Hunt of Guntersville; one sister, Ruth Bruce of Boaz; two brothers, Marshall Wright of Tennessee and Mathis Wright of Guntersville; and eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Ruby H. Johnson
WINCHESTER, Tenn. - Ruby Helen Johnson, 81, died March 2. The funeral was March 4 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Doyle Sherrill officiating.
Burial was in Maxwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Murrell Johnson, and by one daughter, Jean Rogers.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton Johnson of Winchester and Edward Johnson of Huntsville; one daughter, Murrelleen Rogers of Estill Springs, Tenn.; two sisters, Maydell Garrett and Mildred Hall, both of Winchester; an six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Vesta Keller
SCOTTSBORO - Vesta Keller, 88, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. A graveside service was to be today at 3 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro with the Rev. Donald Jacobs officiating and Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by her husband, Ulice Dean Keller; one daughter, Marie Keller McCormick; and two sons, Marvin Dean Keller and Charles Billy Keller.
Survivors include one daughter, Lila Jean Boggus of Huntsville; two sisters, Mozell McClure of Larkinsville and Hazel Perry of Huntsville; and three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary R. Lacy
Mary R. Lacy, 62, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Massey and Coliee Jean Lady, both of Huntsville; two sons, Andrew Lacy III and Morris Wayne Lacy, both of Huntsville; her mother, Lucy Wilson of Chicago; five sisters, Hazel Carter, Mary Wilson, Anita Ross, Mable Lee Wilson and Inez Wilson, all of Chicago; two sons, James Wesley Wilson of Chicago and John Hale Wilson of Buffalo, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Stella M. Lansden
STEVENSON - Evangelist Stella M. Lansden, 55, of 102 Utah Ave. died Tuesday at a Chattanooga hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Scottsboro with the Rev. Bruce Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lou Timberlake Earl of Fackler; four sisters, Sarah T. Perry of Chattanooga, Rita F. Timberlake of Dallas and Mary E. Pickett and Tonye E. Bibbs, both of Scottsboro; and five brothers, Ralph W. Timberlake of Huntsville, John P. Timberlake of Nashville, Michael R. Timberlake of Athens, the Rev. Billy J. Earl of Scottsboro and Grant W. Earl of Chattanooga.
Memorial donations may be made to the Youth Gospel Expression and the Family Gospel Warriors of Faith.

Marlin P. Martin
ARAB - Marlin Paul Martin, 74, of 3765 Friendship Road died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville.
Survivors include his wife, Tempie Martin; two daughters, Donna Heatherly of Cullman and Annette Smith of Gurley; four sons, Quintin Bryant of Louisiana, Danny Harbin and Chris Harbin, both of Arab, and Keith Harbin of Woodville; two sisters, Lucille Isbill of Albertville and Billie Hipp of Birmingham; one brother, Warren Martin of Oklahoma; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Roger McGeorge
KELSO, Tenn. - Roger McGeorge, 60, of Crystal Springs Camp Road died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Wallace Phillips and Ronnie McGeorge officiating.
Burial wasto be in Campbell Cemetery.
Mr. McGeorge was a native of Lynch, Ky., a member of Crystal Springs Church of God and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Smith McGeorge of Kelso; one daughter, Elizabeth Michaelle McGeorge of Kelso; two sons, Roger McGeorge Jr. of Fort Houston, Texas, and James Arthur McGeorge of Murfreesboro; his mother, Rose McGeorge of Corbin, Ky.; three brothers, Ronnie McGeorge of Jeffersonville, Ind., Renus McGeorge of Fayetteville and Truman McGeorge of Corbin; and one sister, Sylvia Jones of Fayetteville.

Jerry R. Moon
RAINSVILLE - Jerry R. Moon, 48, died Tuesday at a Scottsboro hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Baker Cemetery with the Rev. Dewayne Martin officiating.
New Hope Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include six sisters, Jean Dawson of Douglas, Elizabeth Jones of Guntersville, Jewell Lewis and Mae Mahan, both of Albertville, Bonnie Shook of Rainsville and Barbara Wilbanks of Henagar; and three brothers, Billy Moon of Boaz, Bobby Moon of New Hope and Donald Moon of Guntersville.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leonard G. Owensby
BOAZ - Leonard Grant ''Len Owensby, 70, of 4282 County Road 26, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Solitude Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Owensby; one daughter, Linda Hobbs of Georgia; two sons, Michael Owensby and Tim Owensby, both of Georgia; two stepdaughters, Sheila Brown and Debra Gardner, both of Tennessee; two stepsons, Lamar Roper and Curt Boyd, both of Tennessee; one sister, Hazel McLean of Georgia; and two brothers, Al Owensby and Hershell Owensby, both of Tennessee.

Bonnie M. Pellem
Bonnie Mae Pellem, 81, of Huntsville did Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Pellem was a native of Franklin County, Tenn., and had lived in Huntsville for 70 years. She was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin and Lee Pellem, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Lois Knox of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today form 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawrence L. Pressnell
ATHENS - Lawrence Leland Pressnell of 611 West Market St. died Wednesday at an Athens nursing home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

William G. Reeder
William G. Reeder, 79, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Faith Chapel Pentacostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Joel McGraw officiating.
Entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Reeder was a member of Faith Chapel Pentacostal Holiness Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He had retired from civil service.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Reeder of Huntsville; one daughter, Aundria Young of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Margaret Suber of Sheffield and Mildred Miller, Esther Pearson and Jane Lanford, all of Spartanburg, S.C.; one brother, Harold Reeder of Spartanburg; and one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the church building fund, 3913 Pulaski Pike, Huntsville, 35801, or to Hospice Family Care, 2225 Drake Ave., Huntsville, 35805.

Mary Simmons
GUNTERSVILLE - Mary Louise Sparks Simmons, 70, of 3639 Pearson Circle died Monday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheriee Todd and Sheila Burns, both of Albertville; four sons, Milton Sparks, Stanley Sparks and William Simmons, all of Guntersville, and Edward Sparks of Albertville; and 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Carl E. Smith
Carl Edward Smith, 68, of 1711 Niblick Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Chelsea Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert San Wood officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie M. Smith of Huntsville; one son, Carl Edward Smith Jr. of San Francisco; one stepson, Bill Crutcher of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Haygood of Huntsville and Geraldine Jennings of Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers, Shelby Smith of Huntsville and Albert Mann of Chicago; and two grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Constance A. Smith
MARYSVILLE, Pa. - Constance A. Smith, 77, of 330 Locust St. died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 8 p.m. at Shalonis Funeral Home in Marysville.
Burial will be in Shoops Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pa.
Mrs. Smith was formerly of Huntsville, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Smith.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. Stair III of Huntsville; one daughter, Brenda J. McMillan of Santa Fe, N.M.; her companion, Roy E. Allander II of Marysville; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 450 Sylvan St., Marysville, 17053.

Elsie R. Sutton
GRANT - Elsie R. Sutton, 92, of 949 John Sutton Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grant Church of Christ with Bros. Brian Jenkins and Clayton Tuggle officiating.
Burial will be in Free Home Cemetery with Grant Memorial Chapel in charge.
Survivors include two sons, A.G. Sutton and J.D. Sutton, both of Grant; and nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Steve M. Swinford
SECTION - Steve Michael Swinford, 49, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was Tuesday at Section Funeral Home with the Rev. Morris Johnson officiating.
Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Lisek Swinford; one daughter, Brooke Swinford of Section; one son, John Swinford of Section; his mother, Elsie Swinford Gillispie of Rainsville; one sister, Donna Ball of Section; and two brothers, Elvie Swinford of Section and Sammy Swinford of Rainsville.

Ruth D. Towry
MADISON - Ruth Drake Towry, 85, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Vanhoose officiating.
Burial will be in Moore Cemetery.
Mrs. Towry was a native of Brownsboro, taught at Madison County schools in the 1940s and retired from Hall County schools in Georgia. She received a masters degree from the University of Tennessee in 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest C. Towry Sr.
Survivors include one sister, Irma Gooch of Hazel Green, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3799, Huntsville, 35801, or to the Greater Humane Society of Huntsville, 2812-A Johnson Road, Huntsville, 35805.

Josephine A. Wonder
Josephine A. Wonder, 87, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Big Cove Cumberland Presbyterain Church in Brownsboro with the Rev. Evelyn Brodeur officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery in Brownsboro with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Wonder was a native of Chicago and had lived in Madison County 12 years.
Survivors include her husband, Steve John Wonder of Huntsville; one son, Thomas Joseph Wonder of Huntsville; and two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her body wil be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to the church at 5984 U.S. 431 South, Brownsboro, 35741.
