GRANT - Olin Wallace Burroughs, 81, of 48 McPeters Road died Friday at an area hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel with Brother Windell Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Free Home Cemetery.
Mr. Burroughs was a member of Beulah Advent Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Rice of Grant; one brother, Stanley Burroughs of Grant; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Norman Bush Jr.
Norman Bush Jr., 78, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Dr. Johnny Burrell officiating.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Mae Bush of Huntsville; two sons, Norman Bush III of Atlanta and Raymond McWilliams of New York; two daughters, Mendell Jonas of New York and Ollie Mae Bone of Huntsville; one sister, Linda Berry of Charlotte, N.C.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Josie Crawford
IDER - Mrs. Josie Hurst Crawford, 76, died Friday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with Revs. O.A. Bethune and Johnnie Ellison officiating.
The graveside service will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Cullowhee Baptist Church in Cullowhee, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, George Nelson Crawford Jr.; one daughter, Lisa Crawford of Rome, Ga.; one son, Lance Crawford of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one sister, Ann Veal of Ider.
James H. Criswell
BOAZ - James Huey Criswell, 66, of 132 Mount Vernon Homes died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pine View Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Criswell; and five brothers, Cecil Criswell of Steele, Albert Criswell of Trussville, Charles Criswell of Dawson, Ed Holmes of Rodentown and Ray Holmes of Albertville.
John E. Dempsey
HAZEL GREEN - John Edward Dempsey, 57, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Rev. Wilson Byrd and Elder Fae Harwell officiating.
Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Dempsey was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was employed by Excellence Inc.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Malone of Huntsville and Melissa Harrell of Meridianville; five sons, Rickey Dempsey of Elkmont, Jody Dempsey of Toney, Jacky Dempsey, Johnny Dempsey and Bobby Dempsey, all of Huntsville; his mother, Euna Dempsey of Huntsville; three sisters, Rosie Mae Ivey and Martha Dabbs, both of Athens, and Gladys Bradford of Huntsville; four brothers, Sammy Dempsey of Texas, Earl Dempsey of Decatur, Wayne Dempsey and Sidney Dempsey, both of Huntsville; 26 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jessie M. Dykes
Jessie M. Dykes, 80, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Rev. Emerson Lyle officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Dykes was a member of the Huntsville Senior Citizens and Senior Friends.
Survivors include one son, Franklin B. Dykes Jr. of Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Jessica Dykes McGee of Blountville, Tenn.; one sister, Pauline Dear Trammell of Jacksonville; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joe M. Forrester
PETERSBURG, Tenn. - Joe M. Forrester, 85, of 4 Gingerbread Road died Friday at an area hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastors Tommy Graham and Clark Beiler officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Forrester was a native of Lincoln County. He was retired from Elk Cotton Mills, was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and was a song leader in the church for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Milstead Forrester; three daughters, Mary Ruth Chamblee and Susan Chamblee, both of Petersburg, and Carolyn Vann of Fayetteville; two sisters, Florence Hill of San Diego and Bernice Orlene of Fayetteville; one brother, Edwin Moore Forrester of Houston, Tex.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles M. Hines Jr.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Charles M. Hines Jr., 46, died Wednesday. The graveside service was Friday at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Macon officiating.
Striffler-Hamby Mortuary was in charge of burial.
Mr. Hines was a native of Columbus, Ga. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and was employed by the University of North Florida in the Institute of Police Technology and Management.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hines Sr. of Owens Cross Roads; two sons, Kenneth C. Hines and Kevin D. Hines, both of Caddo Mills, Texas; one sister, Judy Godsey of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Kenneth G. Hines of Seattle; several nephews and a niece.
Rebecca J. Howard
FLAT ROCK - Mrs. Rebecca Joyce Howard, 54, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with Rev. O.B. Whitaker officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant.
Survivors include her husband, John D. Howard; one daughter, Tammy Steele of Stevenson; one son, James D. Howard of Flat Rock; five sisters, Lillie Samples of Rosalie, Orthie Thurmond of Section, Beatrice Chisenall of Stevenson, Betty Ann Koger of Scottsboro and Mildred Williams of Flat Rock; and three grandchildren.
Rosemary B. Inabinet
Rosemary Bocciolatt Inabinet, 69, of Huntsville died Thursday at a Kentucky hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Inabinet was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael John Inabinet Jr. of Huntsville; one son, Michael John Inabinet III of Huntsville; four daughters, Carol Anne Inabinet Keefe of Woodbury, Minn., Diane Marie Inabinet Kushner of Louisville, Ky., Laura Lynn Inabinet Werth of Huntsville and Amy Elizabeth Inabinet of Birmingham; and two brothers, five sisters and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Annie L. Johnson
HARVEST - Annie Louise Johnson, 88, of 1531 Nick Davis Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at noon at Pine Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Dave McGlathery officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include five daughters, Cora Little Page of Fayetteville, N.C., Gwendloyn Johnson and Hattie Barrow, both of Harvest, Ruth Horton of Madison and Farris Gantt of El Paso, Texas; one sister, Ola B. Evans of Harvest; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Mary Aleen Kelley
TANNER - Mary Aleen Kelley, 84, of Mitchell Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Jimmy Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of Green briar Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Kelley; three sisters, Bert Green of Decatur, Lucy Mae Kelley of Tanner and Ellis Green of Belle Mina; and one brother, Frank James of Belle Mina.
Mary J. Locklear
GUNTERSVILLE - Mary Julia Locklear, 74, of 8413 Warrenton Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Livengood and Pamela Conner, both of Guntersville; one son, Bobby Locklear of Albertville; and one brother, Charles Johnson of Oregon.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Clifton L. Loggins
ATHENS - Clifton Leon Loggins, 56, of 405 Chestnut St., died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Loggins was a member of Round Island Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ann Loggins; one son, Ted Loggins of Athens; one daughter, Annie Loggins of Athens; two stepdaughters, Teresa Dorne and Angie Chandler, both of Athens; one brother, John Melvin Loggins of Florence; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ida A. Mashburn
BOAZ - Ida Aliece Gaskin Mashburn, 82, of 1303 Leeth Gap Road died Thursday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Whitesboro Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aro Mashburn.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald Mashburn of Rainbow City, Billy Mashburn of Dauphin Island, Lynn Mashburn of Gadsden and Kenny Mashburn of Boaz; four brothers, Ernest Gaskin and Johnny Gaskin, both of Boaz, Joe Gaskin of Gadsden and Grady Gaskin of Texas; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Elbert Owens
RAINSVILLE - Elbert Owens, 84, died Thursday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Revs. Melvin Hilley and David Hairston officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Owens was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Mae Owens; two daughters, Mary Lou Brown of Fyffe and Nellie Faye Brown of Fort Payne; one son, Clyde Owens of Fyffe; five sisters, Lessie Mae Dover of Cleveland, Tenn., Nillie Turner and Lorene Borgus, both of California, and Clara Hammond Miskelly and Lucille Christenberry, both of Rainsville; one brother, R.C. Owens of California; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ruby Parson
Ruby Parson, 71, of Huntsville died Thursday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Parson of Huntsville, Melvin Parson of Morrison, Tenn., and Jimmy Parson of Rogersville; three sisters, Margie Smartt of Monteagle, Tenn., Louise Nix of Georgia and Geraldine Smartt of Chattanooga; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Loretta S. Rivord
MADISON - Loretta Sarah Rivord, 74, died Thursday at her residence. Funeral services and Burial will be Tuesday in Michigan.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Rivord was a native of Fall River, Mass.
Survivors include one son, Carl Rivord of Harvest; one stepdaughter, Sharron Coffey of California; and one grandson.
Visitation will be today at 7 p.m. at 235 Gemini Drive in Madison.
Donations may be made to Hospice Family Care in Huntsville.
Leroy Sanders
Leroy Sanders, 85, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Sanders was a native of Madison County and a member of Farley Church of Christ. He retired from NASA and the city of Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Margreta Sanders of Huntsville; one daughter, Carolyn S. Orr of Birmingham; one son, Billy Joe Sanders of Orange City, Fla.; three sisters, Florence Carter, Juanita Robison and Virginia Broadbent, all of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Vester M. Walker
ATHENS - Vester ''Granny Mae Walker, 85, of 1400 S. Madison St. died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Bill Irby and Don Osborne officiating.
Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery near Lexington.
Mrs. Walker was a retired nurses aide at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was a member of North Side Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Cleveland Walker.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Moore of Athens; one son, Bobby Walker of Peoria, Ill.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
