Ida L. Baker
Ida Louella Baker, 90, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Charles Lee and Jerry Sims officiating.
Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery in Arab.
Mrs. Baker was a native of Mobile and a resident of Madison County for 76 years. She was also a member of the Weatherly Road Assembly of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Bryan of Huntsville; one sister, Goldie Reynolds of Mobile; and two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Melba Bell
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Melba Bell, 88, of East Gate Drive died Wednesday at a Huntsville, Ala., hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Gay officiating.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery.
Mrs. Bell was a native of Lincoln County and a retired stock cutter for Motorola. She was also a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, William E. Davis of Chandler, Ariz., Bobbie Davis of Union City, Calif., and James Lee Davis of Ringwood, Ill.; three daughters, Francis D. Auxier of Junction City, Ariz., and Martha Ann Scallmoser and Wanda Kete Gyarmati, both of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Boone Honey, Rab Honey and Lonnie Honey, all of Fayetteville; three sisters, Willie Dee Harrison, Mildred Smartt and Allie Davis, all of Fayetteville; and 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lonnie R. Burch
Lonnie R. Burch, 74, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
James T. Durham Jr.
PULASKI, Tenn. - James Taylor Durham Jr., 71, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in New Shores Cemetery.
Mr. Durham was a native of Alabama and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had retired from Magotteaux Corp.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Christine Durham.
Survivors include one son, Charles R. Durham of Hammond, Ind.; one daughter, Betty Katschke of Pulaski; three sisters, Audrey Gill of Huntsville, Ala., Edna Parker of Pulaski and Pauline Sublett of Searcy, Ark.; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Morris W. Ford Sr.
WOODVILLE - Morris W. Ford Sr. 72, died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bobby Graham officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Ford; one daughter, Janice Smith of Tuscaloosa; two sons, Morris Ford Jr. of Birmingham and John Ford of Woodville; three sisters; two brothers; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was to be today from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James E. Gatlin
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - James E. Gatlin, 74, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home chapel with the Bro. James West officiating.
Burial was to be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Gatlin was a native of Lincoln County and a World War II veteran. He also was a retired truck driver for Genesco and a member of the Mimosa Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, June Gatlin of Fayetteville; one daughter, Brenda Wallace of Fayetteville; three brothers, Wayne Gatlin of Fayetteville and Bobby and Raybon Gatlin, both of Louisville, Ky.; four sisters, Adele Meenach, Ella Mae Ferguson, Frances Bolin and Shirley Schultz, all of Louisville, Ky.; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Eula P. Harcrow
COLLINSVILLE - Mrs. Eula Pauline Harcrow, 85, died Tuesday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony Pannell officiating.
Burial was to be in Union Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Ora Prestridge of Stovall, Ga., Bobbie Marshall of North Carolina, Pat Guffey of Steele, Paulette Hiland of Sylvania and Becky Overton of Roanoke, Va.; five sons, Doys Harcrow of the Blake community, Roys Harcrow and Roger Harcrow, both of Grove Oak, Orman Harcrow of LaGrange, Ga., and Calvin Harcrow of Fort Payne; and 32 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Andre D. Horton
Andre D. Horton, 27, of Huntsville died Friday. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Survivors include three sons, Devonte Robinson, Deandre Hughes and Andre D. Horton, Jr., all of Huntsville; his mother, Joyce Sanford of Orlando, Fla.; his father, Alonzo Horton of Huntsville; his stepfather, Freddie Sanford of Orlando; his grandmother, Ruth Horton of Madison; two sisters, Tara Horton of Orlando and Shawntae Hammond of Madison; one brother, Wiliam A. Horton of Huntsville; and one stepbrother, Freddie Collins of Orlando.
Murray E. Houston
Murray E. Houston, 85, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Endia Scruggs officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Houston of Huntsville; one son, Kafi Farah Khan of Huntsville; and one grandchild.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
David Hurt, Jr.
David Hurt, Jr., 51, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sammie Milton officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, Ronald Eugene Hurt of Huntsville, two aunts and one uncle.
Noel W. Johnson
BROWNSBORO - Noel Winfield Johnson, 83, died Wednesday at a Decatur nursing home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr Johnson was a native of Civil Point, Tenn., and a resident of Madison County for the last 75 years. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years.
Survivors include one sister, Evelyn Mayes of Brownsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Mamie M. Langford
TONEY - Mamie Marvolene Langford, 65, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Marable officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Joe Langford of Elkmont; three daughters, Martha Nichols and Sandra Colwell, both of Elkmont and Melissa Hunt of Toney; four sisters, Ruth Bailey and Ann McCowan, both of Huntsville, Maurine Self of Toney and Lenora Carrier of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Harris M. Lightford
Harris Moore Lightford, 64, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Union Chapel M.B. Church with the Rev. O. Wendell Davis officiating.
Burial will be Valhalla Memory Gardens Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Lightford of Huntsville; one daughter, Cynthia Lockhart of Huntsville; one son, Daryl Lightford of Willingboro, N.J.; two sisters, J. Dorothy Thomas and Gwendolyn Posey, both of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren.
Raymond D. Little
Raymond Davis Little, 77, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens Cemetery with Kirk Perry officiating and Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Little was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and participated in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day and was awarded the Silver Star. He retired from Redstone Arsenal after 35 years there.
Survivors include his wife, Beryl L. Little of Huntsville; one son, Daniel Ray of Huntsville; two half0brothers, Loyce and Billy Towry, both of Hazel Green ; and three half-sisters, Nell Layne of New Market and Jimmie Ann Anderson and Jean Sisco, both of Hazel Green .
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Billie S. Moore
GUNTERSVILLE - Billie Sue Moore, 69, of 77 Beech Creek Road, died Tuesday in a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial was to be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Gene Moore of Leeds, Randy Moore of Houston and Jack Moore of Arkansas; two sisters, Vera Carter of Arab and Vida Stoyne of Pinson; one brother, Verbon Carter of Birmingham; and six grandchildren.
Doris J. Palmer
HENAGAR - Ms. Doris Jackson Palmer, 56, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home with the Revs. Johnny House and Terry Payne officiating.
Burial will be in the Pea Ridge community near Henagar.
Survivors include her husband, Verlon Palmer; three daughters, Kristie Warner of Henagar and Misty Palmer and Stacey Steele, both of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Charles Palmer of Henagar, Gregory Boston of Chattanooga and John Knowles of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Martha Patterson of Jefferson, Texas and Phoebe Epps of Gaylesville; two brothers, Ronald Jackson of Fort Payne and Donald Jackson of Menlo, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Ollie Ayers Porter, 71, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with Joe Pendleton officiating.
Burial will be in Brandontown Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Porter of Huntsville; two daughters, Linda Porter of Huntsville and Verdell Porter of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; two sons, Michael and Christopher Porter, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Dannie Cowan of Huntsville and Estella Paris of Los Angeles, Calif; one stepsister, Margie Greer of Huntsville; three brothers, Handsom Ayers of Boston, Mass., Obea Ayers of Indianapolis, Ind., and Earnest Ayers of Cleveland, Ohio; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ruth Louise Rice, 62, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at noon at First M.B. Church with the Rev. Julius R. Scruggs officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa McCraw of Huntsville; her mother, Louise Rice of Huntsville; one sister, Elizabeth Hall of Huntsville; one brother, James Rice of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
Evelyn R.G. Rigby
ALBERTVILLE - Evelyn Ruth Godwin Rigby, 78, of 413 Highland Ave., died Tuesday at her home.
The funeral was to be today at 4 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel in Atmore.
Burial was to be in Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Fla., with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Rigby was a retired school bus driver for Albertville schools.
Survivors include her husband, Cary Rigby; one daughter, Connie Bright of Birmingham; one brother, Damon Godwin of Louisiana; and two grandchildren.
Ruby I. Rogers
MADISON - Ruby Irene Rogers, 85, died at a local hospital. The funeral is today at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Waldron officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three stepsons, Tilman Rogers of Pulaski, Tenn., Raymond Rogers of Redbud, Ill., and Jimmy Rogers of Elkmont; one stepdaughter, Betty McWilliams of Elkmont; nine step-grandchildren; and several nephews.
Faye P. Scott
ATHENS - Faye Perry Scott, 65, died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. A graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth Ray Walker
DECATUR - Kenneth Ray Walker, 60, of Decatur, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was employed at NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Walker; one daughter, Kelly W. Frith of Decatur; three sons, Kenneth R. Walker, Barry P. Walker and Michael E. Walker, all of Decatur; one sister, Betty W. Cowart of Tanner; and six grandchildren.
