Cornelia B. Butts
Ernest G. Butts
Cornelia B. Butts, 88, of Trussville died March 21 and her husband, Ernest G. Butts, 85, died Jan. 22 at Bessemer Carraway Hospital. Their memorial service and funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, with a reception afterward in the parish hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Butts donated their bodies to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical School for medical studies.
Mrs. Butts body was later cremated and her ashes will be interred during the memorial service at St. Stephens Church, which she and her husband attended since it was founded in 1963. They also attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Butts was born in Memphis and was a graduate of Alverson-Draughn School in Nashville. She worked for the Du Pont Co. and TVA as an executive secretary. She was active in the church, being a member and past president of the Altar Guild and one of the founding members of the Healing Team. She was also an avid gardener.
Mr. Butts was a graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky., his hometown, and the University of Tennessee, receiving a degree in accounting. He retired from the General Electric Co. after 25 years as a contract administrator in the real estate and construction and Apollo support divisions. He held positions within G.E. in Richland, Wash., Schenectady, N.Y., and Huntsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Della Franklin, one son-in-law, Allen Franklin of Trussville; one son, Ernest B. Butts of Houston; one granddaughter, Alyssa Butts of Lampassas, Texas; two cousins, Ralph M. Denham of Fort Myers, Fla., and Glenn W. Denham of Middlesboro, Ky.; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Virginia Sproule of Calera; and a sister, Jeannette Thomas of Powell, Tenn.
Memorials may be made St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 8020 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, Ala. 35802, or The American Diabetes Association, Gift of Remembrance Headquarters, 1101 North Lake Destiny Road No. 415, Maitland, Fla., 32751-7105.

Pauline Davis
ATHENS - Pauline Davis, 87, of Athens, died Friday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

David W. Glover
CATAWBA, N.C. - David Wayne Glover, 20, died April 7. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at noon at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville.
Willis Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, N.C., is in charge of burial.
Mr. Glover was a native of Shelbyville, Tenn. He was a press operator for Hickory Springs and member of the Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Gary Wayne and Ann Brown Glover of Federal Way, Wash.; one sister, Carole Glover of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Glover of Harvest, Ala.
Memorials may be made to Community Mission Baptist Church, Lawrence Road, Catawba, N.C. 28609.

Louise D. Graves
SELBYVILLE, Del. - Louise D. Graves, 87, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home chapel in East Gadsden, Ala. with Rev. Wayne Milam officiating.
Entombment will be at Crestwood Mausoleum with Crestwood Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Graves was a native of Huntsville, Ala., where she worked for Hutchins Hardware for 25 years. She was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orbert A. Graves.
Survivors include one daughter, Judi G. Herlihy of Selbyville; one sister, Ovaline Sullivan of San Diego; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m at the funeral home.

Rita B. Kinney
Rita B. Kinney, 75, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Forrest L. Kinney Jr. and Jimmy Kinney, both of Huntsville, and Tim Kinney of Tucson, Ariz.; four daughters, Beth Wright, Terry Samples and Marjorie Kinney, all of Huntsville, and Dianne Skaar of Olympia, Wash.; two brothers, Eddie Berisford and Al Berisford, both of Huntsville; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Annie M. Looney
ATHENS - Annie Mae Looney, 89, of 416 East Washington St., died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Drs. Steven Screws and Carl Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Looney was a member of First United Methodist Church, a former Limestone County school teacher and co-owner of Country Girl Dress Shop and Looney & Looney Hardware Store.
Survivors include one son, Milton Looney of Athens; one brother, Walter Lee Brakefield of Athens; and one granddaughter, Margie Rose Looney of Athens.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Athens.

Fannie S. Pulley
Fannie Scruggs Pulley, 103, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at noon at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Toney with Rev. Richard Hamlet officiating.
Burial will be in Issac-Pulley Cemetery in Harvest with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Pulley was a charter member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Issac H. Pulley Sr., three sons, Hubert Pulley, Leo Pulley and Charles Pulley, and one daughter, Ruby P. Hamer.
Survivors include three daughters, Lois P. Dade and Fannie P. Thompson, both of Huntsville, and Eulasteen P. Muse of Chicago; one son, Isaac Pulley Jr. of Huntsville; one sister, Jennie Ann Gilbert of Cincinnati; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Leslie R. St. Clair
NEW MARKET - Leslie R. St. Clair, 81, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Donnie Stone officiating.
Burial will be in St. Clairs Cemetery in New Market.
Mr. St. Clair was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and an Auburn graduate with a degree in agriculture. He retired from the Farmers Home Administration after 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret St. Clair of New Market; two stepdaughters, Jackie Kay of Cherokee and Mary Bullington of Russellville; one sister, Mildred Anderson of Russellville; and five step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Warren Scarbrough Sr.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Warren W. Scarbrough Sr., 75, died Tuesday at Potomac Hospital. A graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bro. Charles Woodard officiating, and Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Scarbrough was native of Clanton and formerly lived in Huntsville. He was retired from the Redstone Arsenal Fire Department with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Scarbrough of Fairfax, Va.; one son, Warren W. Scarbrough Jr. of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Betty Jo Stephens of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.

Lola Wisener
GUNTERSVILLE - Lola Mae Ryan Wisener, 85, of 1836 Henry St., died Thursday at a Arab nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Duck Creek Baptist Church in Cullman County.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Angelene Rice of Huntsville; two sons, Robert J. Wisener and Carl D. Wisener, both of Arab; two sisters, Audie Godfrey of Huntsville and Versie Weathers of South Carolina; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Lawrence R. Wolf
SCOTTSBORO - Lawrence R. "Larry" Wolf, 63, of Scottsboro died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel in Huntsville with Pastor Robert Matroni officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Mausoleum with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Wolf was retired from Teledyne Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Wolf of Scottsboro; one son, Wayne Wolf of Huntsville; five brothers, Kenny Wolf, Jack Wolf and Jim Wolf, all of Ellis, Kan., Dennis Wolf of Salina, Kan., and Steve Wolf of Great Bend, Kan., and one sister, Margaret Moore of Ellis, Kan.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
