Elizabeth Beckwith
TOLLAND, Conn. - Elizabeth Beckwith died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Pastor Omega Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Pride Cemetery in Pride, Ala., with Thompson and Son Funeral Home in Florence in charge.
Mrs. Beckwith was formerly of Lauderdale County.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Higgins of Tolland; one sister, Mildred Roby of Lime, Ohio; and two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

Thomas G. Brown
ALBERTVILLE - Thomas Glenn Brown, 78, of 318 Todd Circle died Thursday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 4 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Brown; four daughters, Carolyn Berryhill of Georgia, Janice Gray of Tennessee, Glenda Taylor of Springville and Denise Collins of Birmingham; three sisters, Mamie Moman of Nixon Chapel and Jurolene Buckelew and Nell Graben, both of Albertville; two brothers, Newman Brown of Douglas and Roy Brown of Florida; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

William D. Christian
TONEY - William Deward Christian, 84, died Thursday at his home. No funeral is planned.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Christian was a lifelong Madison County resident and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Lt. Cmdr. Michael Christian, who was a former Vietnam War POW.
Survivors include one son, Lary Christian of Toney; one daughter, Patricia Endress of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Leona E. Cox
Leona Emogene Cox, 79, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Billy Boozer and Donnie Cox officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was a native of Limestone County but spent most her life in Madison County. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include three daughters, Gladys Corene Cagle of Rogersville, Mary Louise Yarbrough of Albertville and Ernestine Miller of Atlanta; seven sons, Lewis E. Cox Jr. of Athens, Robert "Junior" Cox of Huntsville, Henry Lewis Cox of Hazel Green, Jerry Wesley Cox of Sanford, Fla., Billy Gene Cox of Decatur, Ronald B. Cox of Laceys Spring and James David Cox of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one sister, Leaton Mae Griffin of Athens; and 35 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

G.T. Davis
DUTTON - G.T. Davis, 80, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Porter officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Curran of Hixson, Tenn., Wanda Price of Red Bank, Tenn., and Darlene Grodski of Chattanooga; four sons, Bill Dean of Sylvania, Gene Dean of Rossville, Ga., Herbie Dean of Dixie, W.Va., and Ronnie Dean of Ashgrove, Mo.; one brother, J.D. Davis of Alabama; and 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Frances K. Douyard
Frances Kay Douyard, 48, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The memorial service will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Otis W. Graves officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mrs. Douyard was a native of Birmingham and had lived in Huntsville since 1978. She graduated from Banks High School in Birmingham.
Survivors include one daughter, Christi Lyn Camp of Huntsville; one son, Thomas Ryan Douyard of Huntsville; her father, William G. "Bill" Huckabee of Birmingham; and two brothers, Eric G. Huckabee of Hoover and Barry Huckabee of Nashville.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m at the funeral home.

James W. Emerson
ATHENS - James William "Bud" Emerson, 73, of 20623 Piney Chapel Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery.
Mr. Emerson was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one son, Oscar "Bebo" Emerson of Elkmont; three daughters, Elizabeth Usery of Chancellor and Kathie Eskridge and Judy Moore, both of Athens; two brothers, Billie Joe Emerson of Columbia, Tenn., and Robert Jackson Emerson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Bessie Mae Willard of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pearl Hall
GURLEY - Pearl ''Miss Pearl Hall, 89, died Thursday in Huntsville. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie McKay officiating.
Burial will be in the Paint Rock Valley community of Trenton.
Survivors include four stepdaughters, Ruby Marsh of Hazel Green, Evelyn Harbin of South Carolina and Christine Bridges and Estelle Gibson, both of Huntsville; one sister, Virginia Bishop of Huntsville; and one brother, Jesse Steele of Huntsville.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry L. Harwell
Jerry Lynn Harwell, 55, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home East with Bro. Bobby Ogles officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens.
Mr. Harwell was a native of Limestone County and worked at SCI for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Harwell of Huntsville; three sons, Thomas Vaughn of Huntsville, David Harwell of Tuscaloosa and Anthony Harwell of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Teresa Vaughn and Sheila Barton, both of Huntsville, and Kimberly Harwell Davis of Athens; his mother, Ellaree Harwell of Athens; two sisters, Barbara Ogles and Nancy Clines, both of Athens; and nine grandchildren.

Sidney S. Horton
ALBERTVILLE - Sidney Shae Horton, infant daughter of Randy and Kerri Horton of 509 Deidra St., died Tuesday in a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.
Other survivors include her grandparents, Terry and Eloise Bailey of Albertville and Kenneth Horton of Boaz and Frances Dabbs of Guntersville; and her great-grandparents, Ted and Kate Bailey of Phenix City, Alma Duncan of Boaz and Ila Sims of Albertville.

Mary McCormack
ATHENS - Mary Edith Gilbert McCormack, 88, died Thursday at a Falkville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Bridges officiating.
Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
Mrs. McCormack was a member of Mount Carmel Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred McCormack.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann Bullington of Athens, Judy Richardson of Vevay, Ind., and Marcia Workman of Decatur; one sister, Leacie Clem of Athens; one brother, Macon Gilbert of Decatur; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to Meals on Wheels.

Joyce L. Moore
MERIDINAVILLE - Joyce Lou Moore, 67, died Thursday at a local hospital. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Virginia Moore
ATHENS - Virginia Moore, 83, of 20995 Bolding Road died Friday at her home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Taylor F. Perry
Taylor Faye Perry, still-born daughter of Brian and Crystal Perry of Huntsville, will be buried in a graveside service Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rice Cemetery with the Rev. Oakley Drake officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Other survivors include one brother, Jordan Perry of Huntsville; her grandparents, Veron and Carey Ann Perry and Susie Drake, all of Huntsville, and Kevin Drake of Tennessee; and her great-grandparents, Oakley and Bobbie Drake of Big Cove and Roy Walls of Arab.
Visitation will be today at noon at the home of Vernon Perry, 2400 Virginia Blvd. in Huntsville.

Mary L. Putnam
SANGER, Texas - Mary Lou Putnam, 66, died March 24 in Denton, Texas. The funeral was March 27 in Ardmore, Okla., with the Rev. Ed Gatlin officiating.
Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore, Okla.
Mrs. Putnam was a native of Clay County, Ark. She had lived in Huntsville for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Putnam of Sanger; one son, Frank Putnam Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Luanne Keith pf Orange City, Iowa, and Laura Junkins of Collierville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Education Building Fund at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 88, Krum, Texas, 76249.

Milford L. Roden
FORT PAYNE - Milford Lee Roden, 81, died Thursday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Rainsville.
Burial will be in Gleenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Mae Roden of Fort Payne; one son, Larry D. Roden of Rainsville; one sister, Lily Mae Dennis of Trion, Ga.; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

James Sandlin
HARTSELLE - James "Jimmy" Sandlin, 43, of 187 Poor House Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Rev. Ray Ponder officiating.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Cemetery in Decatur.
Mr. Sandlin was a truck driver for Watson Leasing Co.
Survivors include his wife, E. Pauline Sandlin of Hartselle; his father, Clyde A. Sandlin of Cullman; one brother, Robert Sandlin of Orlando, Fla.; and two sisters, Jennifer Fredrick of Birmingham and Janet Alred.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert Shores
NEW HOPE - Robert "Buck" Shores, 77, of Maples Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Erskine Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Shores was a native of Madison County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter.
Survivors inlcude is wife, Myrtle Shores of New Hope; three daughters, Barbara Denton of Grant, Betty Stapler of New Hope and Nita Humphrey of Kelso, Tenn.; three sisters, Kathleen Williamson of Decatur and Sadie Johnson and Lucille Southard, both of New Market; two brothers, Gene Shores of Hazel Green and Roy Shores of New Market; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mattie L. Steele
Mattie Lee Steele, 82, of 46 Northampton Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Earla S. Lockhart officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Green sboro, N.C., with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews of Green sboro.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Doyle E. Thurmond
ALBERTVILLE - Doyle Edward Thurmond, 63, of 207 South Thaxton St. died Wednesday in a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Thurmond; one daughter, Kim Minor of Albertville; two sons, Phillip Thurmond of Holly Pond and Scott Thurmond of Albertville; three sisters, Mazell Slaton and Jennie Daniel, both of Albertville, and Denise Willett of Guntersville; two brothers, Bobby Thurmond of Albertville and Billy Thurmond of Ider; and seven grandchildren.

Debbie L. Wimberly
Debbie Lynn Wimberly, 45, of Windham Drive in Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Charles George officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Miss Wimberly was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and a Baptist. She had worked at Redstone Arsenals Scientific Engineering Services.
Survivors include her father, Charles Leonard Wimberly of Hazel Green ; her mother, Opal Tucker of Fayetteville, Tenn.; her stepmother, Linda Wimberly of Hazel Green ; one sister, Janet Price of Fayetteville; two brothers, Mark Wimberly of Hazel Green and Joe Wimberly of Fayetteville; four stepsisters, Virginia Tensney, Stacey Palmer and Debra Anglin, all of Guin, and Becky Ice of Fayetteville; Tenn., one stepbrother, Shane Skelton of Fayetteville; and six nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nancy R. Wray
ATHENS - Nancy R. Wray, 55, of Slate Road died Thursday at her home. Spry Funeral Home in Athens will announce funeral arrangements.
