ALBERTVILLE - Dorothy Louise Amos, 62, of 574 Lazy Creek Road died Friday in a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at High Point Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing.
Survivors include her husband, Luther Amos; one daughter, Evelyn Berry of Union Grove; and six brothers and sisters.
Ernest G. Barnett
NASHVILLE - Ernest Gilford Barnett, 69, died Thursday at a Murfreesboro hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ricky Craft officiating.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Nadine Farance of Pennsylvania, Frances Barnett of Arizona, Virginia Green haw of Athens and Annie Susie Barnett of California; two sisters, Dorothy Reid of Flintville and Frances Ables of Elkmont; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dyke Cargle Jr.
Dyke Cargle Jr., 69, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Valhalla Funeral home will announce arrangements.
Stella M. Carter
SCOTTSBORO - Mrs. Stella Mae Carter, 89, of Scottsboro, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Echols officiating.
Burial will be in Clay Cemetery in Princeton.
Mrs. Carter, a native of Jackson County, was a member of Randalls Chapel United Methodist Church and a retired seamstress with Gay-Tred Mills and Benham Mills.
She was preceded in death by one son, J.B. Carter.
Survivors include her husband, John Carter; three sons, Paul R. Carter of Scottsboro, Kenneth Carter of Rhode Island and Ralph Carter of California; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday at 10 a.m.
William D. Christian
TONEY - William Deward Christian, 84, died Thursday at his home. No funeral is planned.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Christian was a lifelong Madison County resident and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Lt. Cmdr. Michael Christian, who was a former Vietnam War POW.
Survivors include one son, Lary Christian of Toney; one daughter, Patricia Endress of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Helen D. Hall
Helen Dotzheimer Hall, 92, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Survivors include one brother, Frank Dotzheimer Jr. of Huntsville.
Jerry L. Harwell
Jerry Lynn Harwell, 55, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was Friday at Twickenham Funeral Home East with Bro. Bobby Ogles officiating.
Burial was in Twickenham Memory Gardens.
Mr. Harwell was a native of Limestone County and worked at SCI for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Harwell of Huntsville; three sons, Thomas Vaughn of Huntsville, David Harwell of Tuscaloosa and Anthony Harwell of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Teresa Vaughn and Sheila Barton, both of Huntsville, and Kimberly Harwell Davis of Athens; his mother, Ellaree Harwell of Athens; two sisters, Barbara Ogles and Nancy Clines, both of Athens; and nine grandchildren.
Floyd L. Hill
ARAB - Floyd Leslie Hill, 75, of 1927 County Road 1807 died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hill; one daughter, Brenda Farris of Massachusetts; one son, Randy Hill of Atlanta; one stepson, Jimmy Whisenant of Arab; one brother, Leonard Hill of Tennessee; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Judith Milford
SAVANNAH, Ga. - Judith Diane Richbourg Allen Milford died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Islands Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Milford is survived locally by one grandson, Nikolaus Allen of Huntsville.
Visitation is today from 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary K. Moon
NEW HOPE - Mary K. Moon, 89, of 1051 Poplar Ridge Road died Friday at her home. New Hope Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Aday of Athens, Hazel Miller of Decatur and Sara Tracy of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one son, Charles O. Moon of New Hope; 10 grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
Joyce L. Moore
MERIDIANVILLE - Joyce Lou Moore, 67, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Fincher officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church and retired from Chrysler.
Survivors include three daughters, Kim Morse and Brenda Sutton, both of Meridianville and Cynthia ''Cindy Parker of Huntsville; one son, Greg Moore of Huntsville; one sister, Mary Nell Webb of Lenoir City, Tenn.; two brothers, Jack McAnally of Marietta, Ga. and Joe McAnally of Shelbyville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Virginia Moore
ATHENS - Virginia Lucille Moore, 83, of 20995 Bolding Road died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Ivy officiating.
Mrs. Moore was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Moore Sr., and two children, James Edward Moore Jr. and Mary Irene Thomas.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Houston Moore of Lawton, Mich., Raymond Clayton Moore and Leonard Moore, both of Athens, and Billy Ray Moore of Saucier, Miss.; five daughters, Ruby Bolding, Rachel Burchell, Nellie Brown and Bernice Elrod, all of Athens, and Martha Ivy of Tanner; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jane L. Osterman
Jane ''Pidge Laired Osterman, 86, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. A memorial service will be May 8 at 2 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Hal Oakley officiating.
Mrs. Osterman was a native of Chambersburg, Pa., and a resident of Huntsville since 1961. She was a volunteer at Redstone Arsenal, the American Red Cross and several other local causes for more than 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Jenny E. Myrick of Huntsville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Clifford Parker
SCOTTSBORO - Clifford Parker, 58, of Scottsboro died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Bohannon officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Lily Parker; one daughter, Sherry Kirby of Scottsboro; one son, Bobby Parker of Scottsboro; three sisters, Helen Hammon of South Pittsburg, Tenn., Margaret Evans of Stevenson and Virginia Tolbert of Fort Payne; two brothers, Paris Junior Parker of Yuma, Ariz., and Raymond Parker of Bridgeport; one grandson, Zachary Kirby of Scottsboro.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

HARTSELLE - Thearman Pitman, 66, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Elder officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jillane M. Schwarz
Jillane M. Schwarz, 45, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Glaze of Decatur; one son, Christopher R. Dumas of Huntsville; one daughter, Jennifer L. Wistafke of Huntsville; and six brothers.
James T. Seymoure
James T. Seymoure, 65, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Craft officiating. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Seymoure was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Lula Seymoure; two sons, James ''Tim Seymoure Jr. and Chad Williams, both of Huntsville; five daughters, Teresa Logan, Wendy Williams and Shelia Crouse, all of Huntsville, Marion Brasher of Bessemer and Linda Troutman of Hudson, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
William Toone
ELKMONT - William Toone, 77, of 24706 Bethel Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will Sunday at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore chapel with Rev. Dale Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mr. Toone was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Toone; three sons, Larry Toone and Terry Toone, both of Pontiac, Mich., and Timothy Toone of Elkmont; one daughter, Barbara Boltz of Elkins, W.Va.; two brothers, James Toone of Decatur and J.D. Toone of Athens; one sister, Doris Dodson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ATHENS - Nancy Ruth Wray, 55, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in Fowlkes Cemetery.
Mrs. Wray was a native of Madison County and member of Mays Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Wray; two sons, Randall Wray of Elkmont and Gary Wray of Athens; one daughter, Shirley Andrews of Madison; her mother, Ada Hunt of Athens; two brothers, Gene Hunt and James Hunt, both of Athens; one sister, Carolyn Meadows of Toney; and three grandchildren.
