Wilbur C. Baker
PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Wilbur Comer Baker, 65, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Michael Baker of Florida; four sisters, Margie Lee Faucett and Betty McCormick, both of Boaz, Ruth Bruce of Kilpatrick and Martha Howren of Albertville; two brothers, Edward Baker and Audrey Hardeman, both of Georgia.

Carrie B. Beam
Carrie Blanton Beam, 90, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. A graveside service was Friday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fallston, N.C.
Mrs. Beam was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church in Americus, Ga.
Survivors include one son, Richard B. Beam of Huntsville; one daughter, Carole Beam of Athens, Ga.; one sister, Gaynell Blanton Waters of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Stella Brown
SCOTTSBORO - Stella Brown, 87, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Revs. Darryl Chambers and Eddie Flick officiating.
Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was a retired employee of Dover Mills.
Survivors include two sons, Brooks Brown and Jerry Brown, both of Scottsboro; one sister, Mary Hancock of Scottsboro; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

James N. Cahela
James ''Jim Newman Cahela, 71, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home in Cullman with the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Oden Ridge.
Mr. Cahela was a native of Marshall County and was retired from the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Josie E. Cahela; one daughter, Vera McCoy of Oden Ridge; one stepdaughter, Barbara Martin of Arab; one stepson, Benny Gregg of Arab; two sisters, Iris England and Diris England, both of Falkville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Auzie Clements
RAINSVILLE - Mrs. Auzie Clements, 82, of Rainsville died Thursday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Revs. Jody Bell and Billy Smothers officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Meredith Shirey of Rainsville; one grandson, Michael Shirey of Heflin; and chosen grandchildren, Michele Rotschka of Rainsville and Mark Shirey of Memphis.

Mary Cofield
ALBERTVILLE - Mary Cofield, 51, of Albertville died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz.
Survivors include one sister, Melba Denney of Albertville; and three brothers, G.W. Cofield and Billy Ted Cofield, both of Boaz, and Gerald Cofield of Albertville.

James Covington Sr.
James Walter Covington Sr., 75, of Huntsville died April 25 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Huntsville Botanical Garden Pavilion.
Mr. Covington was a retired pharmacist who helped establish the Academy of Lifetime Learning at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He was a charter member of the Huntsville Botanical Garden and a graduate of Auburn University. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was also on the formation team of the Trinity Adult Center at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deane Riley Covington of Huntsville; one son, James Covington Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; one daughter, Connie Warren of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, five sisters and one granddaughter.

Frank M. Ford
LARGO, Fla. - Frank M. Ford, 72 died Friday.
Mr. Ford was a native of Huntsville.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Ford of Dunnellon and Kenneth Ford of Ocala; one daughter, Jana Jones of Mountain City, Tenn.; one sister, O.W. Baxter of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.

Olene P. Garrett
LACEYS SPRING - Olene P. Garrett, 78, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Revs. Smith Ledbetter and Eldridge Crisco officiating.
Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery in Laceys Spring.
Mrs. Garrett was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Laceys Spring. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Garrett.
Survivors include three daughters, Wilma McCutcheon of Valhermoso Springs, Jo Goodman of Huntsville and Linda Chandler of Laceys Spring; three sisters, Mary Graves of Dora, Leona Graves of Union Hill and Virginia Rozell of Huntsville; three brothers, Onie B. Pike of Ecorse, Mich., Donald Pike of Atlanta and Charles Pike of Laceys Spring; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Sarah E. Green e
PINEY CHAPEL - Sarah E. Green e, 78, died Thursday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Prescott and Scott Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Elmer Green e.
Survivors include one son, Arthur "Buddy" Green e of Elkmont; four daughters, Betty Poole of Nottingham, Pa.; Christina Turner of Decatur, Velma Brooks of Elkmont and Artie Green e of Athens; and 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alfred Hancock
DOUGLAS - Alfred Hancock, 62, of Douglas died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Harris of Albertville; one son, Jeffery Hancock of Douglas; four sisters, Beulah Thrash of Boaz and Nellie Jo McBrayer, Becky Jenkins and Marilyn Orr, all of Douglas; and two brothers, J.D. Hancock of Douglas and Jimmy Hancock of Birmingham.

James E. Henson Jr.
James Edward Henson Jr., 52, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Twickenham Funeral Home South will announce arrangements.

Lee R. Hollis
HOLLYWOOD - Lee Roy Hollis, 60, of Hollywood died Friday at a Scottsboro hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Revs. Pete Hess and Charles Hardin officiating.
Burial will be in Boxs Cove Cemetery.
Mr. Hollis was a former mayor of Hollywood, a salesman and a member of the New Testament Church. He also served as a police officer for other communities and was a former deputy sheriff.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Hollis; one stepdaughter, Carnell Hughes of Langston; his mother, Elizabeth Hollis of Larkinsville; one brother, Robert Hollis of Hollywood; two step-grandchildren and a one step-great-grandchild.

Matthew Mackintosh
HARVEST - Infant Matthew Thomas Mackintosh, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Sexton officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his parents, Rob and Jennifer Mackintosh; one sister, Sarah Mackintosh of Harvest; and his grandparents, Robert and Lois Mackintosh of New Market and Frank and Carolyn Hatcher of Jolton, Tenn.
Donations may be made to the Michael Fund (a foundation researching Down Syndrome), 500-A Garden City Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15146.

Oma Pittman
GUNTERSVILLE - Oma Dell Mae Pittman, 70, of 3410 Meadowlark Drive died Thursday in a Huntsville hospital. The memorial service will be today at 3 p.m. at Arab Church of Christ.
Burial will be in a private service at Crestview Mausoleum in Guntersville with Carr Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Wynston Pittman; one daughter, Miriam Lee Pittman; one sister, Georgia Lane Crysel of Sylacauga; and one brother, Willie C. May of Virginia.

Florence L. Ricks
Florence Lanier Ricks, 73, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Owens Cross Roads Baptist Church with Bro. Bert Morris, Bro. Wayne Kimbrough and the Rev. Bill McLyea officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home East in charge.
Mrs. Ricks was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a retired dietitian from Huntsville Hospital. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Keel.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Ricks; two daughters, Janet Allen of Hazel Green and Judy Byrd of Big Cove; two sons, Jimmy Freeman of Pensacola, Fla. and John Freeman of Huntsville; one sister, Clara Hubbard of Grant; one brother, Wade Lanier of New Hope; and 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

June B. Schniepp
ATHENS - June Betty Schniepp, 70, of 300 Hoffman St. died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Schniepp was a native of Mattoon, Ill. She attended First Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Schniepp.
Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Schniepp; one son, Gregory Dale Schniepp of Nashville; one daughter, Sherry Taylor of Northport; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

Dorothy M. Sommer
Dorothy Mae Sommer, 72, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Oakley officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Sommer was a native of Waverly, Ky., and had lived in Madison County 12 years. She retired from Western Electric after 24 years and was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Sommer; five daughters, Bernedean Mefford of Owens Cross Roads, Margo Prindle of Wilmington, Ill., Martha Sue Roland of Joliet, Ill., Peggy Everhart of Lemont, Ill., and Tammy Thomas of Huntsville; one son, Ralph Edward Sommer of Rowlett, Texas; four sisters, Frances Polley and Margaret Johnson, both of Waverly, Ruth Clark of Shoney Town, Ill., and Alberta Willet of Sturgis, Ill.; two brothers, Billy Yates and Louis Yates, both of Henderson, Ky.; and 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kathryn M. Turner
HAZEL GREEN - Kathryn M. Turner, 90, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dalton Styes officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Turner Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Sara McCain of Delmar, N.Y.; one sister, Mabel Jones of Linden; one granddaughter, Patricia Merritt of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and two great-granddaughters and two nephews.

John K. Waller Sr.
ATHENS - John K. Waller Sr., 84, of Huntsville, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be today at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Father Paul Bailey officiating and McConnell Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Waller was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Roberts Waller of Madison; a son, John K. Waller Jr. of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Willie Jewel Daniels of Montgomery; and a grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Childrens Hospital of Birmingham.

Randall D. Woods
PISGAH - Randall Darin Woods, 31, of Pisgah died Thursday. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Revs. Ed Heard and Scott Kirby officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Pisgah.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Woods of Pisgah; two sons, Jacob Houston Woods and Curtis Jebidiah Woods, both of Pisgah; his mother, Betty Jean Pack of Pisgah; his father, Lonnie H. Woods of Pisgah; two sisters, Donna Jo Laney of Pisgah and Carla Denise Williams of Rossville, Ga.; and a friend, Tammy Forbus of Pisgah.
