Roy L. Adams Jr.
GIBSONBURG, Ohio - Roy L. Adams Jr., 70, died Saturday at his home. The funeral was today at Nopper-Veh Funeral Home.
Burial was in Quinshan Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a native of Limestone County and was a press operator at Plabell Rubber Products in Toledo for 38 years. After retiring from Plabell, he worked with at Buckeye Auto Parts in Fremont and was a member of Garfield Memorial Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Oberhaus Adams; two daughters, Rose Marie Brock of Toney and Kimberly Huff of Gibsonburg; one son, Kevin L. Adams of Gibsonburg; two sisters, Lois Adams of Elkmont and Glennis Williams of Athens, Ala.; one brother, Ted C. Adams of Minor Hill, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
David E. Aden
ALBERTVILLE - David Edward Aden, 18, of 109 Clemons Drive died Sunday in Auburn. A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Albertville.
Adams Funeral Home of Albertville is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Susan Aden of Albertville; one sister, Mae Beth Aden of Albertville; one brother, Alan Aden of Albertville; and his grandparents, Harvey and Frances Aden of Huntsville and Phillip and Betty Blount of Mobile.

Jimmy Beard
HAZEL GREEN - Jimmy Beard, 62, of Hunt Drive died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Bobby Eads officiating.
Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
Mr. Beard was a native of Madison County, a roofer and a carpenter.
Survivors include three sons, Calvin W. Beard of Hazel Green, Randell W. Beard of Huntsville and Danny R. Beard of Biloxi, Miss.; two sisters, Ina Ruth Hughes of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Annie Bodin of Gurley; three brothers, Kenneth Beard of New Market, Lonnie Beard of Sumiton and Larry Beard of Meridianville; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ernestine Berg
OLNEY, Md. - Ernestine Berg, 77, died Tuesday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Carey T. Bright
ALBERTVILLE - Carey T. Bright, 90, of 2321 County Road 386 died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Bright; five daughters, Laverne Mullinax of Albertville, Martha Parker and Belinda Fowler, both of Crossville, Virginia Smith of Arab and Diane Walker of Knoxville; four sons, Lavaughn Bright of Boaz, Jimmy Bright of Attalla and Buddy Bright and Jerry Bright, both of Albertville; two sisters, Magdalene Wilks of Albertville and Roberta Luker of Georgia; two brothers, Rev. Sanford Bright of Geraldine and Phillip Bright of Albertville; and 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Willie Casey
ARAB - Willie Casey, 81, died Tuesday at a Huntsville nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Casey; two sons, Kerry Casey of Arab and Bobby Casey of Huntsville; two sisters, Jewell Tinley and Winona Tinley, both of Georgia; and two grandchildren.
Paul Chandler
HOLLYWOOD - Paul Chandler, 87, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Revs. Wallace Sumner and O.C. ''Tommy Dawson officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Fronie Womack Chandler; one daughter, Louise Guffey of Hollywood; three sons, Aubrey ''Mo Chandler of Scottsboro and Billy Joe Chandler and Paul Ray Chandler, both of Hollywood; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lillace I. Daugherty
BIRMINGHAM - Lillace Irene Daugherty, 84, of 1233 Forest Brook Circle died Monday in a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Forrest Home Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Gunnells of Birmingham; two sons, Junior Ray of Albertville and Billy Ray of Gadsden; two stepdaughters, Ruby Turner and Ruth Turner, both of Gadsden; one stepson, J.W. Daugherty of Gadsden; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Millie C. Decker
ARAB - Millie C. Decker, 87, died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Brocks Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Marie Goodlett and Artie Galliher, both of Arab, and Evanna Harmon of Tennessee; one son, James L. Decker of Tennessee; one brother, Beamon Artis of Arab; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Erlean C. Doss
TAFT, Tenn. - Erlean Crabtree Doss, 80, of 10 Scott Ochard Road died Tuesday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Langford officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Doss was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a homemaker and a member of Kirkland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howard D. Doss of Taft; one son, Roy Lee Gray of Taft; one stepson, Ronnie M. Doss of Fayetteville; one brother, Charlie Crabtree of Fayetteville; one sister, Beulah Gray of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
George E. Dudley
OWENS CROSS ROADS - George Edward Dudley, 81, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Huntsville Holiness Church with David Jones officiating.
Burial was to be in Green Valley Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Dudley was a native of Madison County, and retired from The Huntsville Times. He was a member of Huntsville Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Walker Dudley of Owens Cross Roads; four sons, Edward Dudley, Jerry Dudley, Bobby Dudley and Dean Dudley, all of Huntsville; two stepdaughters, Barbara W. Meeks of Guntersville and Faye W. Howard of Huntsville; five sisters, Mildred Dearmond of Grand, Gertrude Wilker of Huntsville, Jean Moon and Zella Ruth Lang, both of Owens Cross Roads, and Bernie Dewart of New Hope; three brothers, David Maples and Charles Maples, both of Huntsville, and Junior Maples of New Hope; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before service.
James R. Jones
James R. Jones, 58, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Williams and Jay Byham officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Dr. Jones was a member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church and a native of Dyer County, Tenn. He was director of the U.S. Army Primary Standards Lab at Redstone Arsenal and a member of the Midwest Tool Collectors Association, Alabama Bowhunters Association and MENSA.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie F. Jones of Huntsville; one daughter, Sherry Jones of Huntsville; one son, R. Michael Jones of Raleigh, N.C.; his father and stepmother, Warren and Mae Jones of Paris, Tenn.; one sister, Carolyn Hodges of Counce, Tenn.; one stepsister, Shelia Fithugh of Paris, Tenn.; and three nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

George L. Karanza
George Luke Karanza, 73, of Huntsville died Monday at Windsor House. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Perrin officiating.
Burial will be in Sylone Cemetery in Elkmont with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Karanza, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., retired from IBM after more than 25 years of work there. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific and European theaters, and received several medals.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and John Karanza; one sister, Claire Deegan; and one granddaughter, Lori Bitting.
Survivors include his wife, Hellon Karanza; two daughters, Katherine Bitting and Christine Fiorina, both of Kingston, N.Y.; four sons, John Karanza of Panama City, Fla. William Karanza of Kingston, N.Y., and James Karanza and George Karanza, both of Palm Beach, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Judy Horton of Jasper; two stepsons, Steve Hargrove of Selma and Jacky Hargrove of Maysville; one sister, Louise Dennin of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, William Karanza of Vermont; and nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pluma Malone
MEMPHIS - Pluma Malone, 97, died Monday in Memphis. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, James Malone of Germantown, Tenn., and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Glenda Phillips
Glenda Phillips, 53, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Daniel officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Phillips of Huntsville; three sons, Marty Thomas of Hazel Green, Mike Thomas of Huntsville and Scott Phillips of Meridianville; three daughters, Krista Phillips and Janet McKelvey, both of Huntsville, and Debbie Waters of Hazel Green ; one brother, Keith Quick of Huntsville; her parents, Charles and Myrtle Quick of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.

James Pickett Jr.
James "Bou" Pickett Jr., 64, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Owens Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include five sons, Alfonzo Holden, Ricky Pickett, Michael Pickett and Timothy Pickett, all of Huntsville, and Fredrick Pickett of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Ruby Moore of Huntsville and Cynthia Pickett of Birmingham; his mother, Bessie Horton of Huntsville; and several grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral home.
Paul F. Schoate
SPRING LAKE, N.C. - Paul Franklin Schoate, 68, of 106 New St. died Tuesday at a Fayetteville, N.C., hospital. The memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Adcock Funeral Home chapel in Spring Lake with the Rev. Harvey L. Cashwell officiating.
Mr. Schoate was a retired farmer and painter and was in the Tennessee National Guard.
Survivors include sisters, Ruby Lee Moon of Spring Lake and Mary Wilson, Betty Pack and Bonnie McQuaid, all of Huntsville; and one brother, Donald Schoate of Huntsville.
Frances I. Tidwell
Frances Imogene Tidwell, 90, of Huntsville died Tuesday in Fayetteville, Tenn. The graveside service was today at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Arrick officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tidwell.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Doris A. Williams
CROSSVILLE - Doris A. Williams, 71, died Monday in Scottsboro. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville with the Revs. Tommy Mashburn and Mike Bagley officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Methodist Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Don Williams of Scottsboro and Ron Williams of Henagar; three sisters, Ivalene Rains of Rome, Ga., Gaynette Dobbs of Higdon and Wanda Oliver of Crossville; one brother, Junior Smith of Harrison; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
