TAFT, Tenn. - Steven Murray Bartlett, 38, of 64 Red Hill Road died at a Lincoln County hospital Thursday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville A.R.P. Church with Rev. Kenneth McNatt and Dr. Calvin Todd officiating. Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Bartlett was a native of Lincoln County. He was employed by Copperweld, a deacon at Fayetteville A.R.P. Church and served in the Tullahoma National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Templeton Bartlett; one daughter, Shannan Bartlett of Molino, Tenn.; one son Steven Bartlett of Molino, Tenn.; his mother, Edwina Nichols Dollar of Flintville, Tenn.; his father, Bobby Joe Bartlett of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, Dale Bartlett of Petersburg, Tenn.; his grandmother, Glendon Bartlett of Petersburg, Tenn.; and four stepbrothers. Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville A.R.P. church building fund.

HARTSELLE - Mrs. Ila Arnold Bell, 81, of Hartselle, died Saturday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Monday at Laceys Spring United Methodist church with the Rev. Eli Eslick officiating. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Bell was a native of Marshall County, a member of Laceys Spring United Methodist Church and was retired from Mallory Co. in Huntsville. Survivors include one grandson, Joel E. Bell of Hartselle; and one great-grandson, Jacob E. Bell of Hartselle.
Louis Cotton
MADISON - Louis V. Cotton, 74, died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lathams Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home of Medina, Tenn., in charge. Mr. Cotton was a World War II veteran and was retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was serving on the Board of Directors of the Executive Lodge Suite Hotel and was a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville. Survivors include one sister, Irene Morris Atwood, Tenn.; one niece and two nephews.

FORT PAYNE - Ilario Dimasi Sr., 67, of Fort Payne died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden. Survivors include three daughters, Maria Binkley of Toney, Judy Hergert of Huntsville and Patty Hill of Tennessee; two sons, Larry Dimasi of Huntsville and Ilario Dimasi Jr. of Albertville; one sister, Catrina Dimasi of Italy; and nine grandchildren.

RAINSVILLE - Mrs. Levida B. Gilbreath, 71, of Rainsville died Thursday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral was Saturday at Millers Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Phillip Battles officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge. Survivors include her husband, Ben H. Gilbreath; two daughters, Judy Lee Green of Tennessee, Donna Lee Lassetter of Rainsville; two sons, Ronnie L. Lee of Fort Payne and Dana B. Lee of Sylvania; two sisters, Essell Lee of Tennessee and Ivy Cross of Dalton, Ga.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

NEW MARKET - Ronald Ernie Gord, 52, of New Market, died Thursday at his residence. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville. Burial will be in Madison Cross Roads with Spry Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Gord was a native of Madison County and owner of a local fence company. Survivors include his wife, Diana Gord; one son, Jake Gord of New Market; his mother, Dorothy Lee of Montgomery; and one brother, Bruce Gord of Destin, Fla. Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - William Ethelwin Groce, 82, of 82 Gimlet Road died Friday at a Lincoln County hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. T. Pierce Brown officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Groce was a native of Lincoln County, a member of the Booneville Church of Christ and served on the board of Peoples Burley Warehouse. Survivors include his wife, Katie Lou Rees Groce; three sons, Randy Groce and Rodney Groce both of Fayetteville, and Rees Groce of Old Hickory, Tenn.; seven grandchildred and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be today at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

GUNTERSVILLE - Cora Lee Looney, 94, of 1900 Jordan St. died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Henryville Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge. Survivors include her husband, Henry Looney; one son, Samuel Looney of Guntersville; one sister, Marie Simpson of Guntersville; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Paul Mabbitt, Sr.
NEW MARKET - Paul Mabbit, Sr., 80, of Boles Road died Saturday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 8 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Hillis officiating. Mr. Mabbit was a native of Alexandria, Ind. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a life-member of Optimist International and a Mason. Survivors include four sons, Carter Mabbitt of Madison, Wis., Peter Mabbitt of Armada, Mich., John Mabbitt of Silverdale, Wash., and Paul Mabbitt Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Charlotte Anderson of Mt. Morris, Mich., and Delores Sullins of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Jean Hughes of Huntsville; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 1-9 p.m. at the Hazel Green Chapel of Gallant Funeral Home.

James Edmondson and the Rev. Barney Burns officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle directing. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Byrd of Odgen, Utah; two sons, Dal McDonald of Decatur and Stanley McDonald of Odgen; his mother, Mattie McDonald of Hartselle; four sisters, Lillie Jones of Seiverville, Betty Cooper, Arlin Edmondson and Linda Cooper, all of Decatur; and three brothers, James McDonald of Decatur; Billy Dock McDonald of Hartselle and J.D. McDonald of Cullman.
Daniel F. Mullin
Daniel F. Mullin, 72, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Madison with Father Patrick Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Mullin was retired from NASA as an mechanical engineer and was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Baltrusaitis of Madison and Jackie Faust of Huntsville; one sister, Jane Mullin of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Jim Mullin, Tom Mullin, Lawrence Mullin and Bill Mullin, all of Louisville, Ky.; and one granddaughter. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Mrs. Birdie Mae Patterson, 91, of 80 Mayberry Cts. died Friday at a Lincoln County hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Patterson was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include one son, Robert W. Patterson of Fayetteville; two sisters, Annie Turner of Homestead, Fla., Nellie Carter of Nashville; one half sister, Peggy Winton of Las Vegas, Nev.; one granddaughter, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

KELSO, Tenn. - Mrs. Lois Rose, 79, of 95 North Howard Fitch Road died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Edwin Fannin officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Henry and Betty Henderson Fuller. She was a member of the Apostolic Life United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two daughters, Etta Colt and Jeanette Howell, both of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one son, Weldon May of Kelso; one sister, Melissa Pickett of Fayetteville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home in charge. Ms. Russell was a former resident of Huntsville. HARVEST - Mr. Winford O. Walker, 66, of 27528 McLemore Circle died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gerome Hilliard and Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Walker was a deacon of Midway Baptist Church, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Confict, retired employee of Dunlop Tire Co. and was a member of U.S.W.A. Local 915. Survivors include one son, Tom Walker of East Limestone; one daughter, Annie Marbut of East Limestone; one sister, Eva Cox of Killen, Ala.; and one grandson. Survivors include her husband, Barney Joe Willmore; three daughters, Neeta Jugel and Janet Daniel, both of Georgia, and Martha Duckett of Boaz; one son, Greg Willmore of Georgia; two sisters, Emma R. Cheek of Albertville and Phyllis Fargo of Georgia; and seven grandchildren.
