GROVE OAK - Byron C. Bailey, 96, died Tuesday at an area nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. Verlon Stiefel, Jeff Chamblee and Melvin Hilley officiating.
Burial will be in Green s Chapel Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Taylor and Thelma Nelson, both of Fyffe, and Josephine Idell Bryant of Huntsville; one son, Carl Limley Bailey of Marrietta, Ga.; three sisters, Cleo Jennings of Birmingham, Grace Traylor of Fyffe and Mary Ruth McBee of Atlanta; one brother, Virgil Bailey of Fitzgerald, Ga.; and nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Kinsey M. Boxley
SCOTTSBORO - Kinsey McCraw Boxley, infant daughter of Randal Boxley and Dr. Sarah Howie of Huntsville, died Monday at a local hospital.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Other survivors include one brother, Robert Vim Boxley of Scottsboro; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Boxley of Jackson, Mich.; her maternal grandparents, Dr. Virgil and Evelyn Howie of Huntsville; and her paternal great-grandmother, Lucinda Crane of Elnora, Ind.
Memorial donations may be made to Unitarian Universalist Church, 2222 Governors Drive, Huntsville 35801.

Michael D. Byrom
Michael Douglas Byrom, 47, of Huntsville died April 10 in New Mexico. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Byrom was a musician. He had attended Lee High School. His mother, Eleanor K. Byrom of Huntsville, died Tuesday.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Byrom of Madison; one son, Damian Byrom of Madison; his father, Clifton O. Byrom of Huntsville; three sisters, Bonita Davis and Gloria Agrelius, both of Huntsville, and Myrovia Birdsong of Athens; and one brother, Larry Byrom of Nashville.

Ollie M. Garner
HARVEST - Ollie M. Garner, 72, died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Conley Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Ollie Hatchett Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Garner was president of the Missionary Society and the Stewardess Board at Conley Chapel CME Church. She was a dietitian for Huntsville city schools.
Survivors include her husband, Walter E. Garner Sr. of Harvest; one son, Walter E. Garner Jr. of Detroit; three daughters, Lillie Jones of Bedford, Texas, and Irma Garner and Deborah Garner, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Ethel Readus and Lorene Jones, both of Huntsville; four brothers, Johnnie Sledge of Killeen, Texas, Bobbie Sledge of Detroit and Eligha Holden and Robert J. Sledge, both of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arnold Griffin
ATHENS - Arnold Griffin, 80, of 18406 Dement Road died Monday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Dusty McLemore officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Griffin was a member of the Church of Christ and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Griffin of Athens; one son, Carmon Griffin of Decatur; one daughter, Betty Jean Davis of Atlanta; three sisters, Ila Mae Burns, Mable Adams and Frances Bowers, all of Athens; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Clayton Hammonds
Clayton Hammonds, 79, of 119 Whitney Ave. died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Saint John AME Church with Dr. Homer McCall officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Susie M. Hammonds of Huntsville; five daughters, Mollie Hammonds, Gertrude McGee, Tera Hammonds and Desiree Hammonds, all of Huntsville, and Janice Hixon of Frankfurt, Germany; two sons, Alexander Hammonds of Syracuse, N.Y., and Winford Hammonds of New Caspleo, Del.; one sister, Jearlene Evans of Huntsville; and 11 grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Ruby Hancock
SECTION - Ruby Lee Lands Hancock, 80, died Monday at a Jackson County hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J.A. Linville officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Milas Hancock of Section; two daughters, Alinda Arnold of Section and Sue Pickett of Dutton; four sons, Marlon Hancock of Scottsboro, Larry Hancock of Town Creek and Dwan Hancock and David J. Hancock, both of Section; three sisters, Earline Barclay of Guntersville, Mary Maurine Ford of Scottsboro and Mabel Norwood of Section; two brothers, Melvin Lands of St. Augustine, Fla., and R.C. Lands of Hastings, Fla.; and 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Betty Hart
MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Betty Marie Stovall Hart, 61, of 14001 Lake Success died Saturday at a Hialeah, Fla., hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jimmy Clark officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Mrs. Hart was a member of the Hialeah Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Edward W. Hart of Miami Lakes; three sons, William Clifton Wilcox Jr. of Hialeah, Brian Keith Wilcox of Jacksonville and Franklin Carl Wilcox of Miami Lakes; one stepdaughter, Carol Ann Farragher; three brothers, Joe Max Stovall of Athens, Wayne M. Stovall of Madison and William Daniel Stovall of Stockford, Va.; one sister, Judy Yvonne Jinright of Athens; and four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thelma E. Hastings
MERIDIANVILLE - Thelma Elizabeth Hastings, 82, of Chinaberry Lane died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Concord Cemetery with her great-grandson Brian Ivey officiating.
Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Hastings was a native of Limestone County, a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, James Hugh Hastings of Meridianville; two daughters, Shirley F. Phillips of Meridianville and Ann Knauff of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sisters, Hazel Towery and Lois Upton, both of Huntsville, and Theresa Steakley of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, Bill Jennings of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Louis Jennings of Harvest; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mary F. Hobbs
Mary Frances Hobbs, 52, of 2519 Elliott St. in Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Billy Jones officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Felicia Hobbs and Eunice Hobbs, both of Huntsville; one son, Aaron Hobbs of Huntsville; five sisters, Bobbie Dean and Margaret Nelson, both of Huntsville, Jennie Powell and Birdie Woods, both of Madison, and Fannie Williams of Youngstown, Ohio; one brother, Albert Hobbs of Huntsville; a special friend, Robert Smith of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Tempie M. Horton
Tempie Moore Horton, 88, of 1305 Pulaski Pike in Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Henry Bradford Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in East Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mazie Mason of Chicago.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mary E. Hughes
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Mary Elouise Hughes, 78, of Wilson Mann Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Burt Morris and Wayne Kimbrough officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy Hughes, and one son, Michael Hughes.
Survivors include three sons, Searcy "Sonny" Hughes of Grant, Jonnie Hughes of Owens Cross Roads and Edward Hughes of Mount Clemons, Mich.; two daughters, Bama Lanier of Owens Cross Roads and Shelly Mussin of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; five brothers, Conward Paseur, Roy Paseur and Lester Paseur, all of Huntsville, Thomas Huges of Fytee and Turner Paseur of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Peter C. Kalisperas
Peter Christos Kalisperas, 88, of Huntsville died today at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Eugene Shockley officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Kalisperas was a native of Cyprus and had lived in Huntsville since the early 1950s. He owned James Steak House and Duffys Deli and was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Brown Kalisperas of Huntsville; two daughters, Mary K. Smithley of Brownsboro and Margaret K. Watson of Huntsville; one son, Paul Christopher Kalisperas of Huntsville; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care or the church.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary W. Knight
Mary Willie Knight, 81, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Knight Sr.
Survivors include one son, Robert Lee Knight Jr. of Huntsville; one daughter, Sherry D. Jarboe of Huntsville; one brother, Herman Harbin of Selmer, Tenn.; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Christy Marks
ELKMONT - Christy Marks, 28, of 24296 Sugar Way died Tuesday at a Birmingham hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Eva M. Mewbourn
ELKMONT - Eula Mae Mewbourn, 77, of Alabama 99 died Monday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Hesters Church of Christ with Joe Quillen and Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial was to be in Hesters Chapel Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mrs. Mewbourn was a native of Limestone County, a member of Salem Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sadie Clay of Elkmont; one son, Ronnie Mewbourn of Lester; one brother, James Randolph of Athens; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mae W. Nall
Mae Willa Nall, 66, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Pettey officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Nall retired from Chrysler Corp. and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Curtis Glenn Nall of Meridianville, the Rev. Barry Lee Nall of Robertsonville, N.C., and James Terry Nall of Meridianville; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Gussie M. Peacock
FRANKLINVILLE, N.C. - Gussie Mae Peacock, 93, died Monday at a nursing home in North Carolina. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson.
Burial will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery near Bridgeport, Ala.
Miss Peacock, a native of Richard City, Tenn., attended the Methodist church in Bridgeport for several years. She was a school teacher in Bridgeport for 42 years.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Clark of Franklinville; one brother-in-law, James E. Clark of Franklinville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgeport Historical Association, P.O. Box 949, Bridgeport, 35740.

Bunah H. Raney
NEW MARKET - Bunah Hubert Raney, 86, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Nunez officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Raney was a member of New Market United Methodist Church, retired from NASA in 1970 after 18 years and was a graduate of Aero Industrial Technical Institute in Los Angeles.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Lois Raney of New Market; two sons, Othell Raney of Cullman and Gordon Raney of New Market; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to New Market United Methodist Church or Hospice Family Care.

Lilliane V. Raybourn
PETAL, Miss. - Lilliane Verriere Raybourn, 65, died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Roseland Park Cemetery.
Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, Miss., is in charge of burial.
Survivors include her husband, Shelton A. Raybourn of Petal; one son, John D. Raybourn of Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Therese N. Raybourn of Hattiesburg and Helene A. Kirry of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Genevieve Walter of Mifflinburg, Pa.; one brother, Francis Verriere of La Rochelle, France; and one granddaughter.

Michael L. Richter
Michael Lynn Richter, 44, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Richter was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Huntsville resident since 1984, he was active with the American Youth Soccer Organization. He was also a chemical engineer at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Burtt Richter of Huntsville; one daughter, Lori Rebecca Richter of Huntsville; one son, Matthew David Richter of Huntsville; his parents, Rudolph E. Richter and Charlotte K. Richter, both of Vicksburg, Miss.; and one brother, Mark E. Richter of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margie L. Rogers
FORT PAYNE - Margie Louise Rogers, 79, died Tuesday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Lusk Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Jean Manville of Rainsville, and one brother, Carthell Carr of Chattanooga.
Visitation was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley Talley
LIMROCK - Shirley Talley, 61, died Monday at a Scottsboro hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry Meeks and Joe David Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Woodville.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Talley; three sons, Richard Talley of Aspel, Dale Talley of Hollywood and Mark Talley of Limrock; one sister, Mary Ruth Taylor of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, George Atchley of Stevenson; and five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rayburn Terry
HARTSELLE - The Rev. Rayburn Terry, 58, died Tuesday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. James O. Long, Glen Smallwood, the Michael Gunter and Bob Williams officiating.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery.
The Rev. Mr. Terry was a native of Morgan County.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Glendell Terry of Hartselle; one son, Greg Terry of Hartselle; one daughter, Robin Terry Ferrell of Hartselle; four brothers, Arnold Terry and Oneal Terry, both of Decatur, Buford Terry of Taylor, Mich., and Porter Terry of Danville; three sisters, Christine Hopper of Vinemont, Shirley Nelson of Hartselle and Rebecca Pugh of Decatur; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jimmy W. Walker
BOAZ - Jimmy Wayne Walker, 65, of 204 Woodley Terrace died Tuesday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Bryant of Boaz; four sons, Steve Walker, Billy Walker, Johnny Walker and Jeff Walker, all of Boaz; his mother, Grace Walker of Albertville; four sisters, Bobbie Sprinkle, Bettie Scott, Judy Garrard and Jennifer Morgan, all of Boaz; two brothers, Harold Walker and Jesse Lee Walker, both of Boaz; and 13 grandchildren.

Elmer R. Waller
BOAZ - The Rev. Elmer Roland Waller, 84, of 200 Church St. died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Shanty Town Cemetery in Trenton, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Waller; one daughter, Betty Morgan of Boaz; six sisters, Leon Odell of Ider, Eva Avery, Nettie Reed and Anna Tinker, all of Georgia, Edna Stevens of Bryant and Mary Whisenant of Flat Rock; and 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
