DECATUR - Brittany Nicole Andrews, infant daughter of Richard and Lourie Ann Andrews died Monday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Culotta officiating.
Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur is in charge of burial.
Other survivors include one brother, Michael James Andrews of Decatur; her grandparents, Celia Funiestas and Celadonio Funiestas, both of the Philippines, Richard G. Andrews of Hollidaysburg, Pa., and Marian Andrews of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jewel J. Bain
GUNTERSVILLE - Jewel J. Bain, 89, of 760 Meltonsville Road died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Haneys Chapel Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Guntersville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Simp Bain; two daughters, Betty Culbert and Janie McCutchen, both of Guntersville; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Howard Baker
SWEARENGIN - Howard Baker, 83, died Thursday in Scottsboro. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Holiness Church with the Rev. Charles Willmon officiating.
Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Jocie Leona McClain of Swearengin; two sisters, Opal Benson of Scottsboro and Sally Payne of Huntsville; one brother, J.D. Baker of Huntsville; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth L. Blackmon
ARAB - Ruth L. Blackmon, 73, of Arab died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 4 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Glen Blackmon; two sons, Terry Blackmon of Arab and Tommy Blackmon of Atlanta; four sisters, Nell Likaner, Bonnie F. Wolaver and Peggy Madison, all of Georgia, and Judy Otwell of Cullman; two brothers, Gwin Light of Arab and Jimmy Light of Oklahoma; and one grandchild.
Thomas E. Blakely
ATHENS - Thomas Estes Blakely, 85, of Oak Grove Road died Wednesday at an Athens hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Bros. Jerry Smith, James Wallace and Tony Boyles officiating.
Burial was to be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mr. Blakely was a deacon and the treasurer at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a member of Woodmen of the World and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lorene Blakely of Athens; one son, Douglas Estes Blakely of Athens; one daughter, Annette Blakely Zirbel of Athens; one brother, Julian Blakely of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Louise Camp of Athens; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Lucille M. Bostick
Lucille Mae Bostick of Huntsville died Thursday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Moon Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Bostick was active in many civic groups, retired from Madison County Schools and had taught at New Hope School several years.
Survivors include one sister, Kathryn Zeenah of Huntsville; one brother, Frederick Earl Maples of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
Mary A. Butler
SCOTTSBORO - Mary A. Butler, 73, died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Paint Rock with the Rev. John Bevis officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in New Hope with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three sisters, Nancilu Rankin of Orchard Park, N.J., Ruth Potts of Florence and Bettie Pearson of Aragon, Ga.; and two brothers, Gilbert Butler of Guinn and Dan Butler of Woodville.
Visitation was to be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eleanor K. Byrom
Eleanor K. Byrom, 73, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Marshall officiating.
Burial will be in Moon Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads.
Mrs. Byrom was a member of the Randolph Church of Christ and owned Hair Design by Eleanor for 25 years. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Lynn Byrom and Michael Douglas Byrom.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonita Davis and Gloria Agrelius, both of Huntsville; one son, Larry Byrom of Nashville; two brothers, Bud Kelly and Frank Kelly, both of New Hope; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael D. Byrom
Michael Douglas Byrom, 47, of Huntsville died April 10 in New Mexico. The memorial service will be Saturday at noon at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Marshall officiating.
Mr. Byrom was a musician. He had attended Lee High School. His mother, Eleanor K. Byrom of Huntsville, died Tuesday.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Byrom of Madison; one son, Damian Byrom of Madison; his father, Clifton O. Byrom of Huntsville; three sisters, Bonita Davis and Gloria Agrelius, both of Huntsville, and Myrovia Birdsong of Athens; and one brother, Larry Byrom of Nashville.
Roberta L. Campbell
SCOTTSBORO - Roberta Lillian Lusk Campbell, 79, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Revs. Carthell Owens and Steve Clements officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She had retired from Fieldcrest Mills in Scottsboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Campbell Clark of Huntsville; one son, Robert Ireland Campbell of Scottsboro; two sisters, Florence Badger of Stevenson and Rachael Rue of Huntsville; two brothers, John B. Lusk of Hollywood and Jerry Lusk of Bridgeport; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Neva Chapman
ATHENS - Neva Chapman, 57, of Hickory Ridge Road died Thursday at her home. Spry Funeral Home of Athens will announce funeral arrangements.
Everett O. Hampton
HARTSELLE - Everett O. Hampton, 67, died Wednesday at a Hartselle hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur with the Rev. Walter Blackman officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hampton was a native of Lawrence County and a member of East Highland Baptist Church. He owned H and S Grocery in Hartselle.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Hampton of Hartselle; two sons, Keith Hampton of Marco Island, Fla., and Mark Hampton of Hartselle; two daughters, Debbie Brooks of Gulfport, Miss., and Teresa Adams of Hartselle; one sister, Louise Sparks of Decatur; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bessie M. Helmick
Bessie Mae Helmick, 95, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be later at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport, Ind.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Helmick was a native of Logansport and had lived in Huntsville since 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy N. Helmick.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Helmick of Huntsville and Earl Helmick of Phoenix; two daughters, Dixie Helmick of Huntsville and Joy Applegate of Longwood, Fla.; one brother, Mark A. Morris of Pueblo, Colo.; and six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mary E. Hughes
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Mary Elouise Hughes, 78, of Wilson Mann Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was Thursday at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Burt Morris and Wayne Kimbrough officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy Hughes, and one son, Michael Hughes.
Survivors include three sons, Searcy "Sonny" Hughes of Grant, Jonnie Hughes of Owens Cross Roads and Edward Hughes of Mount Clemons, Mich.; two daughters, Bama Lanier of Owens Cross Roads and Shelly Mussin of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; five brothers, Conward Paseur, Roy Paseur and Lester Paseur, all of Huntsville, Thomas Paseur of Fytee and Turner Paseur of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ronald R. Lemke
Dr. Ronald R. Lemke, 59, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Lemke received a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1968 and taught at Nuclear Power School in Bainbridge, Md., while in the U.S. Navy. He was a life master duplicate bridge player and an expert western square dancer. He worked at Teledyne Brown Engineering 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Lemke of Huntsville; one daughter, Sheryl Kittredge of Huntsville; one son, Robert Lemke of Auburn and Richard Lemke of Madison; two brothers, George Lemke of Mosinee, Wis., and Stuart Lemke of Gleason, Wisc.; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice.
Lemma M. Milam
MADISON - Lemma M. Milam, 96, of 1464 Hughes Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Vincent Methodist Church with the Rev. Leroy Shaw officiating.
Burial was to be in Harpersville Cemetery with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Hughes of Madison; and eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Ragan P. Morris Jr.
NEW HOPE - Ragan Parlon Morris Jr., 77, of 337 Wesley Childers Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel.
Burial was in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 35.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Maxine Morris of New Hope; one son, Charles D. Moses of Arab; two daughters, Barbara Grissom of Mississippi and Brenda Brown of New Hope; one brother, Kenneth Morris of Georgia; three sisters, Ruth Virginia Celand of Birmingham, Lois Wilson of Texas and Blanche Devers of California; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Alma C. Patterson
HAZEL GREEN - Alma Cantrell Patterson, 89, of Stephens Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with Grady Kilpatrick officiating.
Burial will be in Charity Cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson was a native of Madison County, a housewife and a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Doris Kilpatrick of Scottsboro, Gussie Jones of Gurley and Wayne Milam, Faith Hathcock and Paula Garrison, all of Huntsville; four sons, Ted Patterson, Gary Patterson and Phil Patterson, all of Hazel Green, and Ronny Patterson of Huntsville; two sisters, Lena Gowen of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Ethel Brock of Hazel Green ; and 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

HAZEL GREEN - John Thomas Peoples, 78, of 1996 Elkwood Section Road died Wednesday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McCauley Funeral home in Fayetteville with the Revs. Rusty Lincoln and Charles Marvel officiating.
Mr. Peoples was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a farmer and Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Meeker Peoples of Fayetteville; two daughters, Donna Birdsong of Fayetteville and Louise Jones of Hazel Green ; two sons, Charles Peoples of Huntsville and Jackie Peoples of Hazel Green ; two sisters, Edna Peoples and Susie Malone, both of Fayetteville; and 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Jack Quick, 65, of Clinton Avenue in Huntsville died Thursday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Concord Cemetery with Chaplain Frank Kendeigh and Col. Deborah Magee officiating.

Mr. Quick was a native of Madison County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Bulfer of Huntsville; one sister, Sunny Brewer of Huntsville; and two nephews.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Mae Reeves, 86, of 37 Oak Drive died Thursday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Cole oficiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Reeves was a native of Cheatham County, a former seamstress at Serbin Fashions and a member of Harmony Hill Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Reeves, Frank Reeves and Jimmy Reeves, all of Fayetteville; and 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

LEWISBURG, Tenn. - Jimmie Rodgers, 62, died Wednesday in Toney. The graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Rodgers was a retired auto body repairman.
Survivors include three daughters, Lesia Colbert of Toney, Nancy Harvey of North Carlina and Sabrina Blocker of Columbia,; one son, Monty Joe Rodgers of North Carolina; two sisters, Lilly Gillum of Cornersville and Wilma Rodgers of Lewisburg; two brothers, Stevie Rodgers and Odell Rodgers, both of Lewisburg; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Opal T. Shields
Opal T. Shields, 82, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Glenn Courtney officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, James M. NEW HOPE - Robert Edward Tubbs, 57, died Wednesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Tubbs was a native of Sioux City, Iowa, and had lived in the Huntsville area for 18 years. He was a salesman for Moorman Manufacturing Co., a U.S. Navy veteran and a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Tubbs of New Hope; two sons, Edward Tubbs of Huntsville and John Tubbs of Stuart, Neb.; one daughter, Kimberly Tubbs of Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister, Patricia Windeshausen of Soux City; and two grandchildren.
