Shaffiq Ahmed
MADISON - Shaffiq Ahmed, 65, of 799 Seina Vista Drive died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tyrone Barton officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ursula Ahmed; one son, Rafiq Ahmed of Madison; and one brother, Akhiar Dutta Ahmed of Parkersburg, W.Va.
Willis Crutcher Jr.
Willis "Dink" Crutcher Jr., 67, of 3930 Pulaski Pike died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Syler Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Langford officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Crutcher was a native of Madison County.
Survivors include six daughters, Dorothy Manning and Cassandra Haywood, both of Huntsville, Ola Steele of Athens, Annie Haygood of Toney, Shelia Allen of Laurel, Md., and Brenda Hammond of Harvest; five sons, Joseph Hurt and Cubith T. Crutcher, both of Huntsville, Willie I. Crutcher of Toney, Gregory L. Crutcher of Decatur and Willie Otis McCrary of Harvest; three sisters, Janie Horton of Harvest, Ethel Greer of Cleveland, Ohio, and Geneva Reed of Hazel Green ; three brothers, Charlie Crutcher of Huntsville and George Crutcher and Tom Crutcher, both of Harvest; and 20 grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Clara S. Evans
Clara S. Evans, 51, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. Charles Underwood officiating.
Burial will be in Austell Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Evans and James Rayford Evans.
Survivors include eight sisters, Edna Roach of Ider, Norma Howell of Stevenson, Myrtle Shugart of Fort Payne, Eva Roberts of Flat Rock, Freida Shavers and Sandra Evans, both of Huntsville, Nancy Martin of McMinnville, Tenn., and Brenda Beeler of Cornersville, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tommy Howard
NEW MARKET - Tommy Howard, 48, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green with the Rev. Elton Brazier officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Howard was a native of Madison County. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Madison County District 1.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Moore Howard; one daughter, Mindy Howard of New Market; two sisters, Janie Miller of New Market and Sue Moore of Hazel Green ; one brother, James Marvin Howard of New Market; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Herman R. Hughes
HAZEL GREEN - Herman R. Hughes, 77, died Friday at a Lynchburg, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Harry Bentley and Wheeler Kidd officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hughes was a member of Pineview Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. He was a retired technician for Jerry Damson Honda.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Jones Hughes of Ardmore; one son, Jack Hughes of Ardmore; four sisters, Margie Cothren and Mary Hobbs, both of Ardmore, Earlene Tipton of Hazel Green and Gail Colbert of Toney; six brothers, William E. Hughes of Toney, Thomas E. Hughes of Huntsville, James M. Hughes of Knoxville, Tenn., and Franklin Hughes, Bobby G. Hughes and Billy R. Hughes, all of Hazel Green ; and one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Lynchburg.
Paul Keller
SCOTTSBORO - Paul Keller, 71, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Revs. Donald Jacobs and Howard McCallie officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mr. Keller was a Baptist, a member of the Scottsboro Golf and Country Club for 25 years and owner and operator of Keller TV Service in Scottsboro.
Survivors include his wife, Norma J. "Peggy Keller; two daughters, Kathy Jacobs of Scottsboro and Debbie Reeve of Woodstock, Ga.; two sons, Paul Keller of Scottsboro and Alan Keller of Stevenson; three sisters, Virginia Bergman of Hollywood, Jean Riley of Huntsville and Mary Elizabeth Clark of Scottsboro; one brother, Donald Keller of Chicago; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lucille T. Lee
FLAT ROCK - Lucille Taylor Lee, 75, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Revs. Aries Kight and Arland Weldeon officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Lee; three daughters, Patsy Carter of Pisgah, Marsha Thornburg of Layton, Utah, and Mary Lee of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; one brother, Joe Bill Taylor of Pisgah; five sisters, Effie Laney and Alice Barnett, both of Pisgah, Lela Mae Smith of Trenton, Ga., Tena Hayes of Flat Rock and Katherine Keys of East Ridge, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burnett C. Meadors
Burnett C. Meadors, 85, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The graveside service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Malm officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Meadors was a native of Lancaster, Ky., and a longtime resident of Huntsville. He was retired from General Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Ardith A. Meadors; three daughters, Dianne Pera of Huntsville, Jan Brolewyc of Pensacola, Fla., and Nancy Gibson of Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Beatrice Balltrip of Harlan, Ky.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Wilford R. O'Tinger
SCOTTSBORO - Wilford Ray "Wilk O'Tinger, 58, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Goosepond Church of God with the Revs. Eugene McDowell and Billy Anderton officiating.
Burial will be in Goosepond Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. O'Tinger was preceded in death by one son, Wilford Ray OTinger Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Sisk OTinger; one daughter, Kathy OTinger of Calumet City, Ill.; special daughters, Tiffany Boozer and Chandra Boozer, both of Scottsboro; three brothers, Ed OTinger of Albertville, Aubrey OTinger of Dutton and Hershel OTinger of Section; his grandmother, Myrtle Harper of Dutton; and three granddaughters.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mahalie J. Poe
SCOTTSBORO - Ms. Mahalie Jane Poe, 96, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the Rudder Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Dorley officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Ms. Poe was retired from Benham Mills and was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Betty J. Inglis.
