FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Roger Dale Allen, 45, of 1000 East Lowell Drive died Tuesday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home chapel with Bro. James West officiating.
Burial will be in Wrights Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Pigg Allen of Fayetteville; one daughter, Chasity Glover of Fayetteville; one son, Douglas Allen of Fayetteville; his mother, Wilma Allen of Fayetteville; three sisters, Bobbie Stevenson of Giles County, Laura Thorpe of McBurg and Carolyn Holder of Fayetteville; three brothers, Charles Allen, Dennis Allen and Billy Joe Allen, all of Fayetteville; one half-sister, Elizabeth Warden of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.
Mary P. Anderson
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - Mary P. Anderson, 82, died Sunday. The graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Senoia City Cemetery with the Rev. T.O. Padgett officiating.
Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City is in charge of burial.
Ms. Anderson was formerly of Alabama and taught Sunday school 35 years. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara L. Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Michael D. Anderson of Wetumpka and Randy Anderson of Athens; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Marguerite D. Bracken
Marguerite Darnell Bracken of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with retired U.S. Army Chaplain Frank Turnbow officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Bracken was a native of Nashville and had lived in Huntsville 24 years. She retired after being a teacher for about 25 years. She was an American Red Cross volunteer for 10 years.
She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Hospitality Club, Twickenham Garden Club, Retired Officers Association Auxiliary, Redstone Arsenal Widows Club and the Protestant Women of the Chapel. She attended the Redstone Post Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired U.S. Army Maj. Glenn A. Bracken Sr., a member of the Madison County Hall of Heroes.
Survivors include one son, Glenn A. Bracken Jr. of Huntsville, and four grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Gena M. Christian
FYFFE - Gena Marie Christian, 16, died Monday. The funeral will be today at 6 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Kip Box and Gary Haymon officiating.
Burial will be in Green Pond Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. with the Rev. Kip Box and the Rev. Gary Haymon officiating.
Miss Christian was a student at Fyffe High School and attended the Fyffe Church of God and the Rainsville Church of God.
Survivors include her parents, Jimmy and Sherrie Christian of Fyffe and Jackie Love of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Amanda Christian and Megan Christian, both of Fyffe, and Melissa White of Augusta; one brother, Curtis White of Augusta; her grandparents, Yolanda Christian of New Ellenton, S.C., Charles and Nelda Mauldin of Fyffe and Jean Guerro of Jackson, S.C.; and great-grandparents, Dan and Augusta McKinney of Spruce Pine, N.C.
Eugene O. Edwards
ATHENS - Eugene O. "Gene" Edwards, 67, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church with Pastor Bernard Ansorge officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Edwards was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Redstone Arsenal in 1968 where was an OGMS/LCSS instructor. He was a Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Edwards of Athens; two sons, Christopher Edwards and Mark Edwards, both of Athens; his stepfather, Paul Mollohan of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, June McLeod of Phoenix; one brother, Steve Mollohan of Huntsville; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

MANCHESTER, Tenn. - Jeff Farrar, 39, died Tuesday at a Manchester hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Bill Gainey and Jack Lambert officiating.
Burial will be in Old Reddens Cemetery in Coffee County, Tenn.
Mr. Farrar was a lifelong resident of Manchester, a member of Blantons Chapel United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Haley Farrar of Manchester; one son, Brian Wesley Farrar of Manchester; one daughter, Mandy Danielle Haley of Manchester; two brothers, Mark Farrar of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Steve Farrar of Meridianville; three sisters, Joan Vythoulkas of and Brenda Farrar, both of Woodbury, Tenn., and Gina Johnson of Estill Springs, Tenn.; his parents, Carl and Helen Farrar of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.

DECATUR - Reva Edna Haddix, 61, died Sunday at a Decatur hospital. The service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Mausoleum with Mike King officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Haddix; three sisters, Ruby Kirkham of Williamstown, Ky., and Odell Bartley and Norma Biggers, both of Decatur; and two brothers, Paul Ray Bridges of Mustang, Okla., and Denyard Bridges of New Palestine, Ind.

FORT PAYNE - Joseph Daniel Haney, 57, died Sunday. The funeral will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Orien Ledford officiating.
Burial will be in Town Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Levion Haney of Fort Payne; three daughters, Sheila Westmoreland and Tammy McAbee, both of Rainsville, and Lynda Higgins of Shiloh; one son, Joseph Wayne Haney of Pisgah; two sisters, Peal Bliss and Judy Bliss; three brothers, Ernest Wyle of California and Grover Wyle and Tommy Wyle, both of Fort Payne; and three grandchildren.

HOLLY POND - Ruby E. Martin Hays died Monday. The memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Hope No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph McGowan and Michael Calvert officiating.

Mrs. Hays was a lifelong Alabama resident and was a member of New Hope No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Randy Hays of Holly Pond; five daughters, Joyce Geraldine Martin, Diane Burton and Gwen Hays, all of Holy Pond, Marilyn Calvert of Huntsville and Sharon Wadsworth of Birmingham; and 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

NEW MARKET - William Robert "W.R." Johnson, 71, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with the Rev. William E. Fears officiating.

Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired rural mail carrier.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Johnson of New Market; one daughter, Susan Barber of Killen; one son, Kenneth Johnson of New Market; one sister, Jean Sanders of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
Marvin T. Jones
GARNER, N.C. - Marvin Templton Jones, 85, of 203 Avery St. died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Carolina Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Montlawn Memorial Park with Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Jones of Garner; one daughter, Donna Faye Pearce of Huntsville; one sister, Louise Wilkins of Raleigh, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Willard D. Lyle
CARROLLTON, Ga. - Willard Dorsey Lyle, 84, of 1895 Oak Grove Road died Tuesday. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church with the Revs. Gordon Willingham and Raymond Verhine officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Martin and Hightower Heritage Chapel funeral home in charge.
Mr. Lyle was a native of Carroll County, Ga., and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Morrison Lyle, and one son, Elwyn Lyle.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Emerson Lyle of Huntsville, Ala., and Larry Lyle of Carrollton; one sister, Lorine Caswell of Lillburn, Ga.; two brothers, Roy G. Lyle of Morrow, and J. Norman Lyle of Douglasville; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church 30 minutes before the funeral.

GUNTERSVILLE - Georgia Mason, 91, of 1630 Aldridge Gap died Sunday at a Cullman hospital. The graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Diamond Cemetery.
Guntersville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one niece, Dottie Harvell of Guntersville, and three nephews, L.V. Lang, John West and Walter Epley Jr., all of Guntersville.
O.T. Millican
GUNTERSVILLE - O.T. Millican, 87, died Monday at a Marshall County nursing home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Morrell Upchurch officiating.
Burial will be in New Macedonia Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Millican; and one daughter, Linda Gail Shumake.
Survivors include three sons, Archie Millican of Cullman, Ronald Millican of Albertville and Ralph Millican of Georgia; one brother, Dean Millican of Birmingham; one sister, Dorothy Millican of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Samuel W. Perry
NEW HOPE - Samuel W. Perry, 78, of 707 Ed Spears Road died today at his home. New Hope Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Louis L. Pierce
ATHENS - Louis Leroy Pierce, 79, of 1111 East Pryor St. died Monday at his home. A memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Methodist Church with Dr. Steven Screws officiating.
McConnell Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Pierce was a retired U.S. Army major with 27 years of service, and retired after 15 years at Redstone Arsenal, where he helped develop the Hazardous Devices School. He was a member and Sunday School teacher of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Pierce; two daughters, Linda Marie Pierce and Loraine Vickers, both of Athens; one son, Louis LeRoy Pierce Jr. of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Lucy Jane Taylor of Dubois, Pa.; four brothers, Scott Pierce of Beaver Falls, Pa., Irwin Pierce of Morgantown, W.Va., and Andrew Pierce and Herlihy Pierce, both of Erie, Pa.; and 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

HARTSELLE - Ella Mae Roberts, 80, died Tuesday in Falkville. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Slack officiating.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eloitte W. Roberts; two sons, B.C. ''Sonny Roberts of Portland, Ore. and James W. Roberts of Hartselle; one daughter, Bonnie Teichmiller of Hartselle; one brother, James D. Johnson of Hartselle; one sister, Dessie Atkins of Hartselle; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Gladys Alexander Ronning, 73, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ with Richard Harp officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Willis Chapel in Walker County with Larry Alexander officiating.

Mrs. Ronning was a native of Walker County and had lived in Huntsville 35 years. She was a member of Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul Ronning.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Allen of Huntsville and Sharon Ronning of Birmingham; one son, Paul Ronning of Birmingham; one brother, Cornelius V. Alexander of Jasper; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Olin Strickler Sanger, 89, of 551 Maryland Ave. died Saturday. The graveside service will be Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Revs. Doug Hill and Ann Hough officiating.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Nicholson of Huntsville; two sons, William D. Sanger of Linville, Va., and John "Sammy" Sanger of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Virginia Scott; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ALBERTVILLE - Jerry M. Simpson, 57, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Oake Hill Church with the Rev. James Dorsett officiating.

Nellie B. Tibbs
TONEY - Nellie Boone Tibbs, 79, of 1156 Dan Crutcher Road died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Peeples officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Tibbs was a member of the choir and the usher board at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lenette Tibbs Rooks of Toney; two sons, Joe Johnson Tibbs of Huntsville and Edd Tibbs of Chicago; four sisters, Annette Scruggs and Josephine Dale, both of Indianapolis, Ind., Flossie Rodgers of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Lucinda Ervin of Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Hillary Brooke
BONSALL, Calif. - Hillary Brooke, the elegant blond actress who played the "other woman" in dozens of movies and had a recurring role in the 1950s TV sitcom "My Little Margie," has died. She was 84.
Miss Brooke died May 25 in Bonsall in Southern California, according to a friend, Helen Lovass.
Although never a leading lady, the former model worked with top actors and directors in such movies as "Jane Eyre," (1944) which starred Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine; "The Enchanted Cottage," (1944) starring Robert Young; and "Road to Utopia" (1945) starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
