Ora Bristor
Ora "Gentle" Bristor, 79, of Huntsville died Friday at a Madison nursing home. The graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery with the Rev. David McMichael officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Bristor was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She had spent most of her life in Scottsboro and had lived in Madison County 23 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Dupree of Huntsville; three stepdaughters, Dianne Bristor of Florence and Carol Mitchell and Patsy Horton, both of Scottsboro; and one grandson, Jason Dupree of Huntsville.
Memorial donations may be made to the building fund at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 228 Mount Zion Road, Huntsville, 35806.
Lois G. Copeland
BOAZ - Lois Goble Copeland, 84, of 50 Goble Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Copeland; one daughter, Dorothy Buchanan of Childersburg; Mary Dyar and Iva Rolls, both of Gadsden, Inez Bethel of Rainbow City, Arazell Barnes of Oklahoma City and Marion Rogers of Talladega; one brother, James Phillips of Illinois; and six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jeff D. Darwin
Jeff Davis Darwin, 85, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Revs. John Johnston and Edward C. Gartrell officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Donald Darwin and Jack T. Darwin, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Davis Darwin of Decatur and Tyler Darwin of Huntsville; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

FOREST PARK, Ga. - Betty Jean Davis, 51, of 927 Sherwood Circle died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens with Rev. Charles Littrell officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Christopher Davis of Forest Park; her mother, Irene Griffin of Athens; one brother, Cameron Griffin of Decatur; and one nephew.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Belinda Carol Eakin, 49, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Chapel Funeral Home in Rainsville with Rev. Vernon Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Griffin Holiness Cemetery in Rainsville.
Survivors include her parents, George Wayne Eakins and Ola Wydean Eakins, both of Lookout Mountain; and one sister, Deborah Darlene Behre.

ATHENS - Carl Green e, 48, died Friday in Sevierville, Tenn. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Dorothy J. Hardin
ARAB - Dorothy Jean ''Dot Hardin, 63, of 316 Briarwood Drive died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pine Bluff Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Hardin; one daughter, Sherry Lopez of Germany; six sons, Marshall Hardin of Simcoe, Robert Hardin, Fred Hardin and Joe Hardin, all of Arab, and Steven Hardin and Stanley Hardin, both of Springville; five sisters, Pauline Brand of Summiton, Ann Sealy and Janice Duran, both of Texas, Dee Crokin of Montgomery and Judy Gibson of Pell City; four brothers, Roy Lynn and Terry Lynn, both of Texas, Jerry Lynn of Montgomery and Barry Lynn of Indiana; and 13 grandchildren.
Duane W. Hetrick
ATHENS - Duane Walter Hetrick, 43, died Thursday. The funeral will be today at 7 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Father Joseph Allen officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Akron, Ohio, with Spry Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Hetrick was a native of Akron and a longtime resident of Limestone and Madison counties. He was an electronics instructor for the Department of Defense, member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Athens and a member of Redstone Arsenal Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Hetrick.
Survivors include his wife, Maria L. Hetrick; one daughter, Kara Hetrick of Athens; one sister, Pat Hetrick of Akron; and one brother, Ronald Hetrick of Canton, Ohio.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pearl T. Meharg
Pearl Thomas Meharg, 88, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Blackburn officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Meharg was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Armand W. Meharg of Huntsville; one daughter, Norma Dean Meharg Smith of Huntsville; and one granddaughter, Julie Smith Jones of Huntsville.

TRION, Ga. - James Noel ''Red Smith, 80, died Thursday at a Rome, Ga., hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Adamsburg Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby N. Smith and Thomas Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Daisey D. Smith; one daughter, Carol Harlow of Nashville; two sisters, Shirley Godwin and Fern Droggs, both of Sylvania; four brothers, Coy Smith of Rainsville, Gene Smith of Carrollton, Ga., Junior Smith of Texas and Darryel Smith of New Jersey; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ALBERTVILLE - Marlon Keith Strange, 37, of 2065 Rose Road, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy Strange; two sons, Charles Strange of Albertville and Loren Strange of Mississippi; one daughter, Courtney Strange of Albertville; mother, Janet Adams of Tennessee; one sister, Myra Burgess of Albertville; and two brothers, Lee Strange and Danny Strange, both of Albertville.

GUNTERSVILLE - Travis Neal Sutton, 55, of 2100 Rock Hill Road died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Pam Rice, Amanda Smith, Cynthia Sutton and Kristy Sutton, all of Guntersville; two sons, Jimmy Sutton and Terry Sutton, both of Guntersville; three sisters, Myra Whisenant, Judy Wray and Mary Collins, all of Guntersville; five brothers, Max Sutton, Truman Sutton, Grady Sutton, Levone Sutton and Ricky Sutton, all of Guntersville; and nine grandchildren.
Larry W. Taylor
NEW MARKET - Larry Wayne Taylor, 40, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was Friday at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fincher officiating.
Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was a native of Madison County and worked at the Madison County Farmers Market. He was a member of the Huntsville Jaycees.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Ayers Taylor of New Market; his father and stepmother, William W. "Tooter" and Linda Taylor of Huntsville; his mother and stepfather, Betty and John Hall of Toney; two sisters, Diane Cook of Huntsville and Betty Jean Lambert of New Market; one stepsister, Shelley Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Mildred Thornthwaite
Mildred Marion Thornthwaite, 82, of Huntsville died Wednesday in Nashville. The funeral will be today at 10:45 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Cochran officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornthwaite was a native of Huntsville and was a member of Fanning Heights Church of Christ and the Associated Ladies for Lipscomb.
Survivors include three sons, Wilfred L. Thornthwaite of Nashville, Dr. Jerry T. Thornthwaite of Henderson, Tenn., and Dr. M. Roscoe Thornthwaite of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Linda T. Cochran of Hendersonville, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Black and Doris Lones, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Robert Bridges and Joe Bridges, both of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

RAINSVILLE - Rev. Jewell Wells, 88, died Wednesday at a Collinsville nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Revs. Howard Bouldin and Robert Keef officiating.
Burial will be in Town Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Keef of Rainsville and Shirley Childress of Lumberton, N.C.; one son, James Lamar Wells of Rainsville; two brothers, Calvin Wells and Emory Wells, both of Rainsville; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Roy L. Williamson
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Roy Lee Williamson, 83, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bevills Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson was a native of Madison County. He was a retired courier for Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include one son, Billy Joe Williamson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Betty Walker of Fayetteville and Connie Adams of Smyrna; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Matthew A. Yanchak
Matthew A. Yanchak, 79, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Cemetery South with Twickenham Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Yanchak was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen A. Yanchak; one son, Edward A. Yanchak of Huntsville; one brother, Norbert Yanchak of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Twickenham South Parkway Chapel.
