Porter L. Batts Jr.
Porter Lee Batts Jr., 56, of 6215 Pamela Drive died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Batts was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church for 46 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and the owner of Batts Customizing Auto Detailing Co. for 30 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Teressa Batts-Walker and Bronwyn LaJoyce Batts, both of Huntsville, and Nichelle Cherye Batts of Marietta, Ga.; four sisters, Lola Stewart, Deloris Batts-Stewart and Le Verta Batts-Brooks, all of Huntsville, and Wanda Carol Batts of Houston; four brothers, Hundley Batts Sr., Porter Allen Batts and Fredrick Batts, all of Huntsville, and Sully Batts of Chattanooga; and one grandchild.
His body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.

Bobby E. Bayless
Bobby E. Bayless, 67, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Margot Elizabeth Bayless of Huntsville, and three daughters, three sons, one sister and eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation or the Comprehensive Care Institute at Huntsville Hospital.

Marguerite C. Bush
Marguerite Cornelius Bush, 80, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bush was a native of Marshall County and retired from nursing after 25 years at Huntsville Hospital. She was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and Senior Horizons. She was also active in aerobics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Bush.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Wiencek of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Becky Grant of Bradenton, Fla.; two sons, William Franklin Bush and John Michael Bush, both of Huntsville; one brother, Wiley Cornelius of Nashville; and eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild, four great-grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to BMA Huntsville Dialysis Center, 2325 Pansy St., Huntsville 35801, or to Hospice Family Care, 2225 Drake Ave., Huntsville 35805.

Cicero W. Davis Jr.
BOAZ - Cicero W. Davis Jr., 91, of 1885 Arlie Lacey Road died Tuesday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Kilpatrick Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Kilpatrick Cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Maude Davis; one daughter, Peggy Dean of Birmingham; and one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

John C. DeArmond
John C. "Butch" DeArmond, 55, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. DeArmond retired from the Alabama State Employment Office and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbye C. DeArmond of Huntsville; one daughter, Devera Hester of Hazel Green ; his mother, Ethel DeArmond of Huntsville; and one grandson.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nillie S. Foster
ANTIOCH, Tenn. - Nillie Sue Foster, 78, died Tuesday. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Roses at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Foster spent most her life in Tennessee, but had lived in Huntsville. She was a member of Blakemore United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" Foster .
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Sue Baucom of Huntsville; one son, William David Foster of Norton, Ohio; two brothers, Joe C. Reeder of Shreveport, La., and Charles Reeder of Knoxville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sarah H. Fuller
BOAZ - Sarah Helen Fuller, 62, of 182 Mount Vernon Homes died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Painter Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Fuller; one daughter, Sandra Patten of Georgia; two sons, Gary Fuller of Geraldine and Jimmy Fuller of Albertville; one sister, Opal Tucker of Boaz; one brother, Harold Baldwin of Albertville; and five grandchildren and one grandchild.

Cleveland N. Gault
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Cleveland N. "Bud" Gault, 74, died Tuesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Gault was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Gault of Owens Cross Roads; one daughter, Juanita Lovsey of Columbus, Ohio; one son, James C. Gault of Cannel Fulton, Ohio; two sisters, Susie Mae Clardy of Toney and Jean Gault ORear of Huntsville; one brother, James L. Gault of Lynchburg, Tenn.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eloise B. Jester
Eloise Bane Jester, 79, of Huntsville died Monday at her home. The memorial service will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil OKennedy officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mrs. Jester was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Senior Friends at Crestwood Hospital.
Survivors include one daughter, Sonja Garcia of Huntsville; and one grandson, Nick Garcia.

Bill Kincer
HAZEL GREEN - Bill Kincer, 87, of Luna Lane died Wednesday at his home. Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green will announce funeral arrangements.

William C. Maples
William C. "Ted" Maples, 89, of 3759 Hobbs Island Road died Tuesday at his home. New Hope Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Craig A. McCoy
FALKVILLE - Craig A. McCoy, 33, of West Lacon Road died Monday in Somerville. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln County, Tenn., with Chaplain Major Dan L. Payne officiating.
Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green is in charge of burial.
Mr. McCoy was a native of Radford, Va., a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors his mother, Joan McCoy of Huntsville; two stepdaughters, Dee Wilbanks and Crystal Anderson, both of Pisgah; one stepson, David Anderson of Pisgah; one brother, Dwayne McCoy of Huntsville; and two half-brothers, Jeff Dixon of Huber Height, Ohio, and John Dixon of Kingston Springs, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chad W. Moore
NEW MARKET - Chad Wayne Moore, 6, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Benny Berry officiating.
Burial will be in New Church Cemetery in Plevna.
Survivors include his father, James Moore of New Market; three brothers, George Moore of New Market, Randy Moore of Huntsville and Michael Smith of Hazel Green ; two sisters, Tammy Moore of New Market and Dena Goodwin of Hazel Green ; his grandparents, J.W. and Jo Sharp of Atlanta; and his great-grandmother, Minnie Armstrong of Florida.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Violet P. Morgan
Violet Pulliam Morgan, 84, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Willowbrook Keenagers and was elected "Woman of the Year" for the Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Morgan King of Huntsville; four grandchildren, David King of Meridianville, Gary King of New Market, Scott King of Huntsville and Cathy Clark of Toney; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donnie W. Pickett
Donnie Wayne Pickett, 46, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. A graveside service will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Fowlkes Cemetery.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one aunt, Betty Zane Cowart of Huntsville; one uncle, Lawrence Dupree of Huntsville; and several cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

James Pirkle
DECATUR - James ''Bruce Pirkle, 80, of Shoal Creek Road died Monday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Revs. Laverle Bucklew and Billy Robershaw officiating.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery near Eva.
Mr. Pirkle retired from Wolverine Tube, where he was a tool and die operator, and from Screen Design Inc.. He was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Bell Pirkle of Decatur; one son, Larry Bruce Pirkle of Decatur; three daughters, Linda Morris of Smyrna, Tenn., Jane Coley of Hartselle and Dinah Lee of Decatur; three sisters, Geneva Williams of Fairview, Mattie Lou Summerford of Eva and Wanza Gutrie of Birmingham; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mary Shollenberger
SOMERVILLE - Mary Shollenberger, 74, died Monday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bro. J.B. Snyder officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one son, David J. Shollenberger of Somerville.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimers Association.

James I. Thomas
ATHENS - James Isaac Thomas, 93, of 16771 Oakdale Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home.

Robert D. Vann
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Robert D. Vann, 73, died Tuesday at a Nashville hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby L. Vann of Manchester, Tenn., and Jerry W. Vann of Huntsville; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack S. Wilks
HENAGAR - Jack Stanley Wilks, 63, died Monday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Revs. Kevin Wilks and Robert Jones officiating.
Burial was in Henagar Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Wylene N. Wilks; one daughter, Jo Mason of Loganville, Ga.; one son, Bryant Wilks of Henagar; four sisters, Glenda Hitchcock of Sylvania and Sue Barrontine, Retha Wilks and Shelia Harris, all of Henagar; and three grandchildren.

Asley Yonan
Asley Yonan, 92, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Yonan was a member of Church of the Nativity and had lived in Yonkers, N.Y., where she was active in the Assyrian-American Federation and St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Elsie E. Olsen of Huntsville; one grandson, Eric David Olsen of Birmingham; and one granddaughter, Evin Sanna Olsen of San Francisco, Calif.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Church of the Nativity or to a favorite charity.
