Elizabeth C. Beale
Elizabeth Collins Beale, 80, of 2111 Wedgewood Road died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. Oakwood College SDA Church with Elder E.C. Ward officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Beale was a native of Gallion. She worked at Oakwood College as an assistant dean for womens dorms and director of the student center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Beale, one son, Timothy Beale and one daughter, Elizabeth Beale.
Survivors include one daughter, Eileen Beale of Atlanta; eight sons, J. Michael Beale and Jonathan E. Beale, both of Huntsville, David A. Beale of Portland, Ore., Dr. Mark D. Beale of Nashville, Victor W. Beale of Sacramento, Calif., Samuel C. Beale, Vincent W. Beale and Bernard B. Beale, all of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Annie M. Hopkins, Inez Essix and Eunice Beard, all of Birmingham and Essie L. Collins of San Francisco; one brother, Charles Collins of Birmingham; and 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Catherine Clark
HAZEL GREEN - Catherine Clark, 78, died Thursday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Clark was a native of Madison County. She was a member of State Line United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest D. Clark; two daughters, Dianne C. Hinson of Birmingham and Ernestine Patterson of Huntsville; one son, James Earl ODell of Marietta, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James W. Fanning
James W. "Jim" Fanning, 55, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Fanning worked for Huntsville city schools and with the Earth Scope Project.
Survivors include his parents, Roy L. Fanning Sr. and Ruby Prosser Fanning, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Roy Fanning Jr. of Hilton Head, S.C., and Larry P. Fanning of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Sandra Drake of Huntsville and Judith Sharp of Harvest; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Whitesburg Baptist Church Youth Camp.
Dawn C. Hall
Dawn Collins Hall, 28, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Green officiating.
Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Joppa.
Mrs. Hall was a native of Madison County.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessica Hall, Jamie Wigginton, and Melody Wigginton, all of Huntsville; one son, Christopher Wigginton of Huntsville; her mother, Mildred Collins of Huntsville; three sisters, Deborah Bynum, Mary Key and Linda Collins, all of Huntsville; six brothers, Jimmy Price of Georgia, Tony Price of Owens Cross Roads, Carl Price and Jeff Stolz, both of Huntsville, Sonny Collins and Dale Collins, both of Laceys Spring.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Daisy D. Hope
HENAGAR - Daisy Dean Hope, 93, died Thursday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar.
Burial will be in Henagar Cemetery.
Mrs. Hope was preceded in death by her husband, Auburn Hope; and one son, Dwight Hope.
Mrs. Hope was a retired teacher from the DeKalb County School System. She was a member of the Henagar Methodist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Frank B. Atkins of Anniston; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arnold J. Hose
ARAB - Arnold Joseph ''Joe Hose, 39, of 333 London Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hose; two daughters, Heather Hose and Lynsey Hose, both of Arab; father, Duane Hose of Texas; three sisters, Linda Baker of Minnesota, Nancy Sanders of Wisconsin and Laura Green o of Texas; and three brothers, Mark Hose and Ric Hose, both of Illinois, and Leroy Hose of Florida.
Lottie O. Isbell
Lottie Ophelia Isbell, 92, of Huntsville died Wednesday. The funeral was Friday at Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Dunnavant.
Burial was in Dunnavant Community Cemetery with Kilgore Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Lorene Godbehere of Huntsville, and eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Umeeka J. Mitchell
Umeeka J. Mitchell, 68, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Dr. R. Laurence Dill officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Mitchell was a longtime resident of Huntsville. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth K. Mitchell; one son, James Steven Mitchell of Huntsville; her mother, Mary Johnson of Bowling Green, Ky.; one brother, Alfred Dale Johnson of Bowling Green ; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
James M. Nance
GURLEY - James Mefford ''Preacher, Nance, 62, of 206 YMCA Rd. died Friday at a local
hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Keel Mountain Holiness Church with Bros. Erskine Williams, Ollie Cooper and David Maples officiating.
Burial will be in Gurley Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Nance was a member of Keel Mountain Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Reynolds.
Survivors include three sisters, Patsy Argo, Billie Ruth Patterson and Sue Mewbourn, all of Gadsden and Shirley Maples of Gurley; three brothers, Doug Nance of Gurley, Houston ''Jack Nance of Gadsden and Roy Alton Nance of Crowley, Texas; special parents, Doug and Maxine Nance of Gurley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today starting at 11 a.m. at the church.
Minnie L. Sales
Minnie L. Sales, 86, of 2721 Monticello Drive died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at St. James C.P. Church with the Rev. William Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Sales was a member of St. James C.P. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sales Sr.
Survivors include five daughters, Clara Etta Sales, Pauline Fletcher, Johnnie M. Harris, Charity M. Lewis and Pearlie M. Sales, all of Huntsville; four sons, Henry A. Sales, Billy Sales and Paul Sales Jr., all of Huntsville, and Walter L. Sales of Madison; two sisters, Beulah Fletcher and Eulah Brooks, both of Huntsville; and 33 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Miriam L. Serise
BOAZ - Miriam Lucille Serise, 75, of 503 Idlewild St., died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz.
Mrs. Serise was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Serise.
Survivors include four sisters, Reba McHenry of Boaz, Betty Green of Athens, Verna Stancil of Huntsville and Dera Kelly of Florida; and two brothers, Earl Stancil of Georgia and John Stancil of Tennessee.
James C. Stanly Jr.
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - James Calvin Stanly Jr., 77, of 146 Smith Mill Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Gay officiating.
Mr. Stanley was a native of Leesville, La. He was retired from the Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, was a veteran of the Marines during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Jackson Stanly of Fayetteville; two sons, James R. Stanly of Fayetteville and Timothy Stanly of Ingelis, Fla.; one daughter, Ruth Anna Larrieu of Simpson, La.; four sisters, Joy Portie of Lake Charles, La., Bill Burgess of Dequiney, La., Johnny Wilson of Shreveport, La., and Fern Parker of Simpson; one brother, Tommy Stanly of Lake Charles; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lawrence Treece
SWEARENGIN - Lawrence Treece, 69, died Thursday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with Bro. John D. Stapler officiating.
Burial will be in Free Home Cemetery.
Mr. Treece was a native of Grant.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Treece of Swearengin; one daughter, Linda Treece of Palestine, Ark.; one son, David Treece of Forrest City, Ark.; two stepsons, Charles White of Lillian and Michael Nast of Grand Prairie, Texas; one sister, Bonnie Mason of Grant; one brother, Norvel Treece of Swearengin; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ada A. Welsh
STAMFORD, Conn. - Ada Askins Welsh, 88, died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tenn., with Dr. Calvin Todd officiating.
Mrs. Welsh was a native of Lincoln County. She was a retired sales clerk from Beckers Jewelry and member of the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Dennie M. Welsh of Williamsburg, Va.; one sister, Ruth Sewell of Monroeville; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary B. Wilson
Mary Bell Wilson, 62, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Barley P.B. Church with Dr. William T. Gladys officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one sister, Henrietta Scott of Boston; and one nephew and two nieces.
Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
