ALBERTVILLE - Carolyn Smith Burdett, 62, of 707 West Main St. died Saturday at her home. A graveside service was held today at 9 a.m. at Old Albertville Cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Jody Burdett of Albertville; one sister, Linda McClendon of Albertville; one brother, Benny Smith of Boaz; and five grandchildren.
Benjamin Frank Cobb
ARAB - Benjamin Frank Cobb, 86, of 270 Shoal Creek Road died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was in New Brashiers Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Cobb; two daughters, Helen Madden of Guntersville, Laudine Roberson of Arab; one sister, Ella Mae Cottie of Hulaco; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Sandra Dawn Dick
ALBERTVILLE - Sandra Dawn Dick, 22, of 88 Dick Road died Sunday in a Chattanooga hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Ronnie and Cathy Dick of Albertville; grandparents, Rod and Evelyn Valliancourt and Sandra Nesbitt, all of Maine, and Carolyn Ripley of Florida; great-grandparents, Odeo and Ida Vaillancourt of Maine.
Bernice R. Dodson
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Mrs. Bernice Ruth Dodson, 70, died Saturday. A memorial serivce is today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Dodson of South Pittsburg and LaWanda McLemore of Scottsboro; three sisters, Mary Lee Easter and Corina Taylor, both of Brockwell, Ariz., and Ruth Ann Womack of Melbourne, Ariz.; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Alexandra George
Alexandra George, 75, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Eugene Schockly officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include a sister, Georia Michles of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Danny Koklas of Huntsville; two nieces, Diane Ramsey of Charlotte, N.C., and Helen Salvatore of San Jose, Calif. Visitation will be tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church.
Mildred King Hickson
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Mildred King "Me-Maw" Hickson, 78, of 6178 Bradyville Pike, formerly of Huntsville, died Sunday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Darrel Whaley officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Hickson was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon W. Hickson, and a son, Michael K. Hickson.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Henley of Murfreesboro, Sarah Mathis of Lascassas, Juanita Harkins of Evensville, Tenn.; two sons, Stephen W. Hickson of Murfreesboro, Patrick J. Hickson of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today after 4 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

SCOTTSBORO - Robert ''Poss Jackson, 73, died Saturday at Jackson County Nursing Home in Scottsboro. The funeral was Monday at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Nolan Ford officiating.
Burial was in Town Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include six daughters, Diane Nicholas of Florida, Joyce Jackson of Fort Payne, Clara Mae Ledwell of Scottsboro and Eurline Myers, Mary Ann Seabolt and Earline Smith, all of Rainsville; two sons, Sonny Jackson of Fyffe and Charles Jackson of Section; two sisters, Willie Padgett of Georgia and Pauline Watkins of Florida; one half-sister, Hazel Wooten of Birmingham; one half-brother, Paul Jackson of Sylvania; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

HAZEL GREEN - Mrs. Littie M. Lackey, 84, of West Limestone Road died Monday in Fayetteville. The funeral will be announced by Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green .

SCOTTSBORO - Johnny W. ''Dub McLemore, 56, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Erby Shankles and and the Rev. Aubrey Pockrus officiating.
Burial will be in Inglis Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Lisa McLemore of Stevenson and Stephanie Knopps, Kristy Click, Brandy Phillips and Shannon McLemore, all of Scottsboro; his mother, Dorothy Sanders of Scottsboro; one sister, Brenda Brooks of Bridgeport; one brother, Billy Ray McLemore of Scottsboro; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

GUNTERSVILLE - Magnolia Sims Moore, 76, of 350 Moores Road died Monday in a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.l
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Glenn Moore, Julius Moore and Jackie Moore, all of Guntersville; one sister, Edsie Colquitt of Albertville; one brother, Hershell Sims of Guntersville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mildred Murphy
LACEYS SPRING - Mrs. Mildred Evelyn McAnally Murphy, 76, of Laceys Spring and a resident of Summerford Nursing Home, Falkvile, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was Monday at 3 p.m. at Cotaco Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Gooch and the Rev. Harlon Hood officiating.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle in charge.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Cotaco United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Limus Murphy.
Survivors include one son, Michael Murphy of Laceys Spring; four daughters, Linda Murphy Halbert of Somerville, Barbara Murphy Campbell of Belvidere, Ill., Martha Jo Murphy Duskin of Decatur and Kathy Murphy Farrow of Chattanooga; one sister, Frankie Jo McBee of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

HAZEL GREEN - Mrs. Anna Kristina Sandbeck, 86, of Carriger Road died Monday at her home. The funeral will be announced later by Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green .

BOAZ - Earl Felton Snead, 90, of 435 Earl Snead Road died Sunday in a Gadsden nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Earlene Otinger of Boaz and Claudette Holley of Snead; two sisters, Jolena Turner of Montgomery and Cathalee Hamrick of Blountsville; and one grandchild.
R.C. Snow
The Rev. R.C. Snow, 81, of 4304 9th Ave. S.W. died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Guntersville Church of God.
Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Snow; two sons, Ricky Snow of Grant and Michael Snow of Huntsville; three sisters, Lillian Snow and Ovie Wildman, both of Arab, Kate Padgett of Grassy; one brother, Howard Snow of Scant City; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Angela L. Steward
Mrs. Angela L. Steward, 95, of 2507 Green hill Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Oakwood College Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Elder John S. Nixon officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Wilson of Huntsville; one son, Paul Steward of Tuscon, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Richard Leon Thomas
ATHENS - Mr. Richard Leon "Dick" Thomas, 82, of 510 6th St. died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be announced later.
Edgar R. Williams Sr.
Edgar R. Williams Sr., 78, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dea. Lee Roy Hoekenschnider Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Huntsville. He was a lifetime supporter of Boys Town, a veteran of World War II and received two Purple Hearts and one Bronze Star. He was a retired postal worker.
Survivors include his wife, Mary K. Williams, one son, Edgar R. Williams Jr., and a grandson, Michael R. Williams all of Huntsville.
Memorials may be made to Father Flanagans Boys Town, Boystown, Neb.
Eddie L. Wright
Eddie Lawrence Wright, 48, of 3812 Melody Circle died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Penecostal Lighthouse with Bishop Johnny Burrell officiating.
Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Wright was employed by the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Maria King Wright of Huntsville; four daughters, Teresha King, Felicia King and April Goode-Coleman all of Huntsville, and Pansy Hawkins of Berkley; one son, Kenny Miller of Huntsville; father, Alex Wright of Huntsville; four sisters, Della Linwood, Rose Wright and Carolyn Watkins, all of Huntsville, and Mary Hamilton of Oxonhill, Md.; four brothers, Timmy Wright, Alex Wright and Perry Wright, all of Huntsville, and Adam Wright of Triana; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel.
Lottie Bean Wright
HARTSELLE - Lottie Bean Wright, 91, of Sunshine Haven, 1091 Highway 31 N.W. died Monday at Hartselle Medical Center. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Brooks Barkley and the Rev. Ron Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She graduated from Morgan County High School in 1924. After attending Howard College for the summer term, she began her teaching career at the age of 16 that fall. She later became a notary public and tax accountant and was the longest serving notary in the state. She was a member of Bethel Homemakers Club, Prime Timers, AARP and Bell Ringers.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Everett Wright.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Lawson Wright of Collierville, Tenn., and John Everett Wright of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
