James E. Brazier Sr.
James Edward Brazier, 62, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Shelby Gurley and Glenn Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
Mr. Brazier was a native of Madison County. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Janie Casteel.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Brazier; three daughters, Beverly Jean Webb of Huntsville, Debra Lavon Young of Madison and Teresa Kay Wilburn of Ardmore, Tenn.; one son, James Edward Brazier Jr. of Huntsville; two sisters, Bernice Spray of New Hope and Betty Stolz of Huntsville; four brothers, Bud Lee Brazier and David Brazier, both of Hazel Green, Donald Brazier of Texas and Bobby Brazier of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Eddie Chandler
SCOTTSBORO - Eddie Chandler, 49, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood with the Revs. Rick Stevens and Donald Jacobs officiating.
Scottsboro Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one son, Barry Chandler of Scottsboro; his mother, Opal Gist of Scottsboro; one sister, Patricia Lusk of Scottsboro; and one brother, Roy ''Tommy Chandler of Hixson, Tenn.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to a charity of choice.

Edna M. Gill
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Edna Mills Gill, 76, of the Bellville Community died Sunday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.
Burial will be Riverview Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Gill retired from Serbin Fashions.
Survivors include her husband, Winston Gill of Fayetteville; two daughters, Katie Nannette Comstock of Shelbyville and Ginny Ann Lamb of Flintville; one son, Jimmy Lane Gill of the Mimosa Community in Fayetteville; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sherman E. Hicks
ALBERTVILLE - Sherman Eugene Hicks, 45, died Saturday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Hicks of Albertville; one daughter, Brandy Dunn of Douglas; one son, Derek Hicks of Albertville; his mother, Margie Hicks of Albertville; two sisters, Barbara Natoli and Brenda Harper, both of Georgia; and two grandchildren.

Virginia Hopper
Virginia Hopper, 82, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Hopper Jr. of Huntsville and Michael L. Hopper of Guntersville; and one sister, Marian Taylor of Georgia.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.

Callie B. Patterson
HARVEST - Callie Benson Patterson, 76, of 154 Hammond Road died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton, Tenn., with the Rev. George Moore Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Ardmore, Tenn., with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Patterson of Harvest; three daughters, Christine Patterson of Harvest, Mamie Gilbert of Athens and Katherine Burks of Irvington, N.J.; one sister, Thelma Benson of Mequoin, Wisc.; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Owen B. Robinson Sr.
Elder Owen B. Robinson Sr., 80, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Elder Kennemer L. Hall officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was a veteran of World War II and a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He worked in the farm equipment business and was an elder at Flint River P.B. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jane M. Robinson; three sons, Owen B. Robinson Jr. of Dallas and James Miller Robinson and Murray Robinson, both of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Flint River Primitive Baptist Church in care of Elder K.L. Hall, 5018 Laurelwood Lane, Huntsville, 35816.

James C. Roden Jr.
SELMA - James Claude "Jimmy" Roden Jr., 31, died Saturday at a Montgomery hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home chapel in Selma with the Rev. Jim Shoemake officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, James C. and Jean Roden of Selma; one stepsister, Cindy L. Sanders; one stepbrother, James D. McKey; his grandmother, Eva Simmons of Huntsville; and two nephews, one great-nephew and two aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cleo J. Whitaker
CULLMAN - Cleo Jones Whitaker, 72, of 401 Arnold St. Northeast died Saturday at a Cullman nursing home. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Grant Church of Christ with Bro. Clayton Tuggle officiating.
Burial will be in Free Home Cemetery with Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Whitaker was a native of Grant and a member of Guntersville Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Sue Hill of Cullman and Melba Stewart of Albertville; one brother, Hoyt Jones of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.

MADISON - Woodrow W.Boyd, 86, of 103 Summit Ridgedied Sunday at a local hospital.The funeral will be Wednesday at11 a.m. at Twickenham MemoryGardens with Dr. Steve Pettey officiating.
Twickenham Funeral HomeEast is in charge of burial.
Mr. Boyd was a World War IIveteran. He retired in 1981 after30 years with the State of WestVirginia Security Agency.
Survivors include his wife,Martha Boyd of Madison; twodaughters, Cornelia "Corny" Roseof Madison and Judy Lloyd ofOwens Cross Roads; one son, JimBoyd of Miami; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Herman D. Bradford
SCOTTSBORO - HermanDavid ''Butch Bradford, 84, diedMonday at a local hospital. Thefuneral will be Wednesday at 2p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Homewith the Rev. Joe Ventress, theRev. Rayburn Cole and the Rev.Mike Bradford officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Billie M. Bradford; five sons, Herman ''Buck Bradford, Paul Bradford and Johnny Bradford, all ofScottsboro, Kenneth Bradford ofLawrenceburg, Tenn., and Roy W.Bradford of Woodville, Ala.; foursisters, Ruth Wright and BrendaStover, both of Scottsboro, andLinda Cole and Carolyn Pertree,both of Fort Payne; and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

ATHENS - Delores Ann Garrison Broadway, 48, of Mooresville Road died Monday at herhome. The funeral will beWednesday at 2 p.m. at GallantFuneral Home Chapel in HazelGreen with the Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.
Burial in Gatlin Cemetery inArdmore, Ala., with Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green incharge.
Mrs. Broadway was a native ofMadison County and had beenhousekeeping supervisor at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She wasalso a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her husband,Larry W. Broadway of Athens;two daughters, Vicky Marberry ofArdmore, Ala., and Heather Bakerof Athens; her mother, ElsieSimms Garrison of Athens; onesister, Connie Perry of Athens;one brother, Kenny Garrison ofAthens; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Carl E. Burns
UNION GROVE - Carl E.Burns, 67, of 1264 Pine RidgeRoad died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be todayat 2 p.m. at Brindlee MountainBaptist Church.
Burial was to be in UnionGrove Cemetery in Morgan County with Arab Memorial ChapelFuneral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, JeanBurns; one son, Jeff Burns ofUnion Grove; one stepdaughter,Donna Parker of Union Grove;one stepson, Mike Dove of Huntsville; three brothers, Amos Burnsof Tuscaloosa and Jessie Burnsand Bobby Burns, both of Mississippi; and one grandchild.

Mamie G. Cockrell
DECATUR - Mamie G.Cockrell, 91, died Sunday. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at SpryFuneral Home in Athens withMilton Burks officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemeteryin Anderson.
Mrs. Cockrell was retired fromDecatur Printing Co. and was amember of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter,Bobbie Cates of Decatur; threesisters, Estie Nix of Dade City,Fla., Nadine Thompson of Anderson and Winifred Sherwin of Athens; two brothers, Albert McConnell and Frank H. McConnell,both of Anderson; and threegrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Thomas E. Countess
DECATUR - Thomas E.Countess, 63, died Monday at alocal hospital. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m.at Roselawn Funeral Home withthe Rev. Dr. Randon Jackson officiating.
Roselawn Funeral Home is incharge of burial.
Mr. Countess was a member ofWestminster Presbyterian Church,a traffic signal superintendent forTemple Electric Co. and a nativeof Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife,Margarette Countess; one son,Stuart Countess of Tuscaloosa;one daughter, Suzanne Cook ofMcDonough, Ga.; two brothers,Richard B. Countess of Orlandoand Jon C. Countess of York, Pa.;and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to theWestminster Presbyterian ChurchBuilding Fund.
Visitation will be today from 6to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lakshmi R. Dayal
Lakshmi R. Dayal, 76, ofHuntsville died today at herhome. Laughlin Service FuneralHome will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Dayal was a member ofSAI Family and Unity Church onthe Mountain.
Survivors include three daughters, Meenakshi Dayal of Huntsville and Shanti Dayal and VibhaDayal, both of Saratoga, Calif.;and one son, Uneshwar Dayal ofSaratoga.

She was a member of ShadyGrove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter,Marianna Barnes of Toney; andthree grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several niecesand nephews.

Jackson Kelley

Mr. Kelley was formerly ofHuntsville.
