Claudia Bagwell
ARAB - Claudia Bagwell, 88, of Arab died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab in charge.
Survivors include three daughters, Maxine Maze and Hazel Haney, both of Arab, and Sue Borden of Good Springs; one son, David Black of Arab; four stepdaughters, Doris Holaway, Melba Bodine, Mary Smith and Martha Kelley, all of Arab; two stepsons, James Bagwell and Clarence Bagwell, both of Arab; three sisters, Chloe Hamby of Arab, Beatrice McWhorter of Texas and Rachel Davis of Blountsville; and nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lila F. Bean
ESTILL FORK - Lila Faye Bean, 58, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville with the Revs. Gary Solberg and Randy Webber officiating.
Burial will be in Gurley Cemetery.
Mrs. Bean was a native of Madison County and had retired from working in the Jackson County Courthouse. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Bean; one son, Michael Bean of Trenton; five daughters, Sheila Little of Paint Rock, Sharon Hall and Stacey Thompson, both of Trenton, Kim Mullican of Princeton and Lisa McCord of Huntsville; one brother, Johnny Atchley of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Hanns L. Billmayer
Hanns Leopold Billmayer, 86, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at noon at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Scott Peterson officiating.
Mr. Billmayer was a native of Augsburg, Germany. He worked on the Saturn moon rocket as a NASA engineer at Marshall Space Flight Center from 1958 to 1973. He retired in 1978 from Ingalls Ship Building in Pascagoula, Miss., and was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hedy Billmayer; two sons, Hanns J. Billmayer of Huntsville and Bernd Billmayer of Madison; two daughters, Gisela Billmayer of Wheat Ridge, Colo. and Monika Hemenway of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Babette Ballani of Germany; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Homer Troy Bivens
ATHENS - Homer Troy Bivens, 54, of Athens, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Chris Hagler officiating.
Burial will be in Sunnyhill Cemetery.
Mr. Bivens was a native of Morgan County and a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Bivens and one sister, Dorothy Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bivens; three daughters, Samantha Martin of Harvest and Charlotte Perry and Paula Smith, both of Athens; his parents, Herman and Addie Bivens of Cherokee; one brother, Leon Bivens of Athens; and six grandchildren.
Haden E. Bolden
Haden Ellis Bolden, 54, of Huntsville died Friday in Guntersville. The funeral will be Monday at 5 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bobby Turner officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Bolden was a native of North Carolina and had lived in Huntsville since 1967. He was employed with Dunlop Tire and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Troy Bolden and Michael Bolden ''Bo Lanza, both of Huntsville; one brother, Ricky Bolden of Green sboro; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frederick R. Calhoun
ARAB - Frederick Robert "Fred" Calhoun, 71, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Huntsville with the Revs. J.W. Clark, G.W. ''Buddy" Hayes and Robert Sparkman officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Calhoun joined the Navy in 1945, was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950 and was assigned to Huntsville with the 9330th TSU Group to work with Wernher von Brauns team of scientists. During his 42-year career in NASAs computation lab, he helped develop systems used in the Apollo missions. He retired in 1992.
In 1973, he and four brothers-in-law bought the Twin Lakes Golf Course in Arab and managed it until selling it in 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Janet Allen Calhoun; two daughters, Melanie Polen of Huntsville and Renee Winslett of Arab; one brother, Roger Eugene Calhoun of Canton, Ohio; one sister, Juanita Harrison of Worthington, Ohio; and three grandsons and six nieces and seven nephews.

Dorothy Gough
WALLINGTON, England - Dorothy Madeline Gough, 77, of Wallington, Surrey, England, died July 21 at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at W.A. Truelove and Sons Funeral Home in Wallington with the Rev. Brian Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Northeast Surrey Cemetary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Gough.
Survivors include one son, Brian A. Gough of Madison, Ala.; two daughters, Sandra Stanley and Valerie Liston, both of London; one sister, Valerie Smith of Wallington; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Nell Kerby
BLAKE - Nell Kerby, 85, died Thursday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. C.L. Wilburn officiating.
Burial will be in Wesleys Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Sue Reece of Fort Payne and Barbara Reese of Henagar; one son, Billy Hiland of Sylvania; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Dale King
MADISON - Dale King, 75, of 311 Maplewood Drive died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Kirk officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Billie King; five daughters, Robin Terrell of Madison and Gale Bingham, Beth King, Nancy King and Susan Fornay, all of California; three sons, Randall Cooper of Oregon, Richard Cooper of Kansas and Ronald Cooper of Madison; one sister, Betty Rockhill of Harvest; and 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Melvin R. Lapointe
Melvin R. Lapointe, 69, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil OKennedy officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Lapointe was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was retired from civil service. He had worked as a U.S. military missile instructor, was president of the Diabetes Association, served on the Animal Control and Community Watch boards, was president of the Huntsville Obedience Training Club and was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Anne E. Lapointe; two sons, T.J. Lapointe and James Lapointe, both of Huntsville; one sister, Edna Wentworth of Kennebunkport, Me.; two brothers, Bob Lapointe and John Lapointe, both of Rumford, Me.; and two grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Robin Stewart Fund.
Flora Lemley
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Flora Mae Dudley Lemley, 89, of 430 Piney Woods Road died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Edwin Parks officiating.
Burial will be in Byrd Cemetery.
Mrs. Lemley was preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Lemley, and one son, Donald Ray Lemley.
Survivors include two sons, David Lemley and James Dillard Lemley, both of Owens Cross Roads; and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Christopher L. Locker
TAFT, Tenn. - Christopher Lee Locker, 29, of 599 Coldwater Creek Road died Thursday at his home. A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at Carter Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Cothren officiating.

Mr. Locker was a native of Lincoln County. He was a framer with Hargrave Construction Co. and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Johnny Mann
Johnny Mann, 32, of Huntsville died Thursday in Nashville. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home East chapel in Hampton Cove.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens.
Survivors include two brothers, Willard Mann and Gerald Mann, both of Huntsville; his mother, Doris Cottingham Mann of Huntsville; and several nieces and a nephew and one great-niece.
Alice S. Mich
LAFOLLETTE, Tenn. - Alice Snead Mich, 73, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Anne Meredith and Sheila Williams, both of LaFollette, Mary Johnson and Alma Redd, both of Oklahoma, Annie Slager of Illinois; one son, Danny Snead of LaFollette; four sisters, Annie Hionedes and Nancy Fishback, both of Florida, Alice Teal of Boaz, Ala., and Pansy Cline of Attalla, Ala.; and 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

HORTON - Samuel Harrison Morrow, 94, of 305 Mount Sinai Road, died Saturday in a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Carolyn Neal
ARAB - Carolyn Neal, 61, of Arab died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.

Survivors include her husband, Cleo Neal; two daughters, Rita Holliday of Laceys Spring and Carolyn Lewis of Mississippi; two sons, Terry Hulsey of Arab and Glenn Neal of Harvest; her mother, Ruby Bodine of Arab; one brother, James Bodine of Decatur; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Thomas Parkerson
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Thomas Parkerson, 53, died Friday at a Houston hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Parkerson was a native of Lincoln County and was a member of Park City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Daniel Parkerson; his parents, Hubert and Ruth Parkerson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Lawana Hale and Cindy Miles, both of Fayetteville; one brother, Bob Parkerson of Petersburg; four sisters, Martha Denton, Judy Davis and Jan Bentley, all of Fayetteville, and Teresa Smith of Madison, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

Hollis E. Preston
Hollis Edgar Preston, 72, of Huntsville died Friday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Davison officiating.

Mr. Preston was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Rogers was retired from MICOM.
Survivors include his wife, Brenday Faye Rogers; three daughters, Cynthia D. Duke of Gurley, Sonya M. Rogers of Madison and Stacey L. Davis of Rogersville; one son, Scott Rogers of Huntsville; two brothers, Thomas Rogers of St. Paul, Minn. and Billy D. Laetitia S. Rogers
ELORA, Tenn. - Laetitia Smith Rogers, 91, died Friday at a Fayetteville nursing home. No funeral is planned.

Mrs. Rogers was a native of Yazoo City, Miss. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Survivors include one grandson, Stuart Rogers of Elora; one granddaughter, Freda Brosemer of Elora; and two great-grandchildren.

ELKMONT - Erbie Lee Rouse, 70, of 215534 Nelson Road, died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens.

Mr. Rouse was a native of Limestone County.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Rouse; three daughters, Alice Vibbert, Debbie Dison and Rita Adams, all of Elkmont; and three sisters, Reba Santmore of South Carolina, Unice Bass of North Carolina and Eveline Delgada of Gary, Ind.
Walker G. Woodall
SCOTTSBORO - Walker G. Woodall, 76, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Revs. Johnny Woodall and Joan Napp officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Woodall was a U.S Army veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Scottsboro Mason Lodge 359, York Rites, and the Cahaba Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel Woodall, Howard Woodall and Louis Woodall.
Survivors include one daughter, Caroly Jean Proctor of Scottsboro; one son, Tommy Woodall of Cummings, Ga.; and two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
